- Robin's Book Club Episode 57: The Book of Veles by Jonas Bendiksen
David Hurn described it as "one of the most important photobooks ever" so who am I to disagree?

Music: Spirit of Fire, Jesse Gallagher, from UA-cam Audio library, no attribution required, but great job Jesse!
I can't believe it, I stumble on this by accident. I've been to Veles many times. Great photographs
A truly remarkable book!
Thanks, I don't need to buy it now! Saved me money :)
I am intrigued. Had heard of the book but the subject does not interest me much but now that I see the work I am very curious about the presentation. Will definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing!
In a way, the subject is "what is photography?"
Powerful work, every single shot.
It's a remarkable book, and he was ahead of the game in terms of thinking about AI too.
Does music affect one's feelings about a photobook? Sure.
Absolutely :) I choose music that I hope "works", knowing for some it won't. Of course if it doesn't for someone they can turn the volume off. Eventually I hope to make my own music for the videos but I doubt I'd ever be able to make something unique for each video. And even if I could, it wouldn't resonate with everyone would it? :)
@@RobinsBookClub , if a photograph is any "good," does it require music? It shouldn't.
@waytoosquirrelly unfortunately I took the decision to have music on these videos for the last two years, so that's where we are :) thanks for the feedback though :)
