- Robin's Book Club Episode 60: The Unseen Saul Leiter, by Margit Erb & Michael Parillo
If you haven't seen my other videos on Saul please look at my playlist, and I will link them in the video too. He really was amazing, and I'm so happy to know so many of you love his work :)

Love his work Saul Leiter.. my favorite artist.. thank you.. (and who remembers those old buses from the sixties..)
He was truly remarkable :)
Thank you for sharing the book. I feet that is very well produced.
All three of the similar Saul Leiter books are good, I've made videos of them all in this same playlist if you wanted to see the others.
Thank you for posting this clip. I look forward to having this book in my hands. Some of these images I could quite happily study and enjoy for hours on end.
glad you are inspired :)
Liked and subscribed to your channel, too. Nice concept. Very helpful to those curious before they buy.
Thank you, that's very kind of you :)
I loved the video, which of the 3 books would you buy first but not having anything from him?
If there are no budget considerations, then the centennial retrospective I think as it tells his life story really well.
Hi, i have some collection from local photographers as well as international and want to make video of the books like this. is it generally ok to do? do you need to have permission from the photographer or the publisher to do this ?
I bought it and returned it. I like Leiter's photos a lot. But this book might be better titled "The Better Unseen Saul Leiter". Maybe Saul Leiter didn't want them seen.
Interesting view :) although, I think the essays explain that that's unlikely.
Why buy it and return it isn't it something to keep.. sounds strange.. yikes 😬😳
What didn't you like about the book?
I feel like too much black is overwhelming and doesn’t do justice to great photographs
too many empty black pages.
