I’m coming to India this week for holiday. I wanted to book vistara but it just takes you to air India 😢 the planes look 😳 i dont know if i wasted money on business 😂
Could it be a gender thing? I’ve been to India and if you’re a woman, they’ll do stuff like this for you but not for a man. I couldn’t walk two steps outside of my hotel room with the attendants offering to carry my bag and coat 😂
It’s nice of you guys doing flight reviews across all the cabin classes, unlike other vlogers whose contents were mostly in business class and first class…not all passengers can afford the business class and first class..thank you guys Nice review by the way, ❤❤❤
Nicky at the start after everybody said which class they would be flying had something to say but the only thing was "Error 404" so he started to laugh to kill the awkwardness. That kinda made me laugh :) I really like your videos. Keep it up!
This flight is the perfect description of what Air India is in 2024. Some high points, some low points. Inconsistent. They have a way to go before they become a solid product. We know that. We know they have new cabins on order and new planes. I guess temper your expectations for the next 2 yrs.
Maz what about the divider? was that not working either? I was so confused as to why the center divider wasn't raised. Even if the passenger does not notice the crew should be offering to raise dividers. That whole situation felt far too intimate for a solo female paying for a business class seat.
Love these videos - get to see all classes at once and the presentation is always fun and informative. How come Nicky [nearly always] finishes up in First Class?! I recognised the Etihad design and I always loved the Etihad 777 business class (first was very good too) - they are dated now but still very comfortable products. Economy is never much fun and the lack of response to call bell rather poor.
That was very nice that they gave PJs in BC. Not one bit surprised about them not answering the call bell challenge and things not working. It’s a good thing that they are getting their new planes A350 at such a rapid pace as they definitely need that to get to where they are striving for.
Latam flight i was just on, I was a window seat with 2 sleeping people beside me, just needed a Ginger ale, pressed the button, waited 15 mins, turned it off and back on again and after about 35/40 mins I had to wake these two people up and go down to get my own drink.. They were sitting there eating and talking up a storm, I mentioned i pressed the call bell and they were like you can come down here at any time.. i was tired and thirsty and said "i would if i could have.. had two sleeping people dead to the world" they gave me a blank stare..
I'm a bit confused. There seemed to be a divider between her and the other guy that just wasn't pulled up? Why didn't they book her a window seat though. And surely when you've paid enough for business class they have to provide a tablet if your screen isn't working?! This has happened to people I know in economy...
I'm flying Air India next month, roundtrip, from SFO to Delhi, an almost 16-hour trip in Economy seating. I haven't heard too many good things about Air India, but I really appreciated this video and your reviews. I guess my flight in a cramped seat won't be too bad--at least I hope not.
lol. I just fought Aeromexico and the crew never came for the call bell either! The cabin looks so dated, the color looks awful and the economy seat looks so uncomfortable, poor Liam. I also noticed the privacy issue of the business class seat before she mentioned. Thanks for the honest review!
LOVED IT SO MUCH! Even though I prefer the newer Air India 🇮🇳 A350 cabins I LOVE the B777 my FAVORITE jet other than the B747 and I love it so much! What a great review especially with Nicky back in First and Liam back to Economy! 🤣 Cheers mate! 🥂 Caleb’s Aviation
The Economy seats nowadays are more cramped than a few years ago... True?.... You could see how uncomfortable it was and if you there was no space to even rest your arms... The same goes for the washrooms nowadays
I tried air India flight 119 from NYC to Mumbai and back, and wow, they were soooo good. The Boeing 777-200 used here was recently acquired from Etihad airlines too, so maybe because it's new, but the eminities and experience was unbelievable (atleast compared to how they were before). Would recommend it if you wanna take a trip to india
As an Indian, i actually never choose air India. I travel to London very often but always go for Qatar/Vistara. Even for domestic travel, I always go for indigo. There’s always delays, always some issue and there are just better options out there. Loved the honest review!❤
Haha have you tried out their flights that have rickety windows. It takes off and you shit your pants wondering why an airplane sounds like a tractor with loose bolts.
As a frequent traveler, I f*cking hate Indigo mate. They don't even serve water in the bottles nowadays. Seats are super uncomfy, and most of flight attendants don't even care to wear a smile. Vistara is the only carrier which doing damn great in domestic.
The call bell issue is a serious safety concern. The crew has no way of knowing if there’s a medical emergency or someone simply wanting a beverage. As a cabin crew member in the US, an issue like this is entirely unacceptable.
Inspired by you guys, I did the call bell challenge on my Del-Syd flight last week during no service time. To my shock it took 10 mins for someone to answer. Whilst the crew kept peeping every now and then as I was right up the third row almost next to service area, but didn’t bother to come and check. However, apart from that everything else was exceptional on the flight, the food, service and overall experience exceeded my expectations.
After an eternity waiting for a call bell response just tell the FA, "Oh, never mind. I was able to put the fire out by myself!" The look on their face will warm your heart!
@ThePointsGuyDepartures. Really appreciate the honest review . Honestly the problems the guys faced in economy and business is something Air India is trying to fix by new A350 that will replace all b777 so do review A350 of Air India
It took them 10 mins on my Del-Syd flight last week and I was in the 3rd row from the front. So the crew kept looking every now and then but still took time to respond. Overall the service and flight was really impressive.
after rewatching the new AI A350 video - I note that the condition of the older cabins is not as much a management problem as it is a (predominantly Indian) traveller problem. recalling my recent 7 hour Vistara flight - I noted that somebody had spilled food (or may have actually thrown up) all over their seat. that alongside a general lack of responsibility I'm sure has more to do with what AI had become. I'm happy to be proven wrong- now after there merger - time shall tell where the fault truly lay
I get why you do the call bell challenge for videos, but I think the call bell is for when you need to notify a flight attendant of something like a safety concern or passenger issue. I don’t think its best use is asking for a drink.
Some airlines encourage it in premium cabins, when flying Qatar and Emirates in business class I have been told if anything is needed to ring the call bell
That was very honest! A thing about Air India is that expect A LOT OF inconsistency for the next few years. These outdated aircraft aren't just going to go away, and pretty sure they wouldn't invest in refurbishing its cabin.

Especially, taking liquids out in a plastic bag (which is kind of polluting the environment). Also, recently when I was transiting through LHR the business class lounge was so overcrowded that I had to wait to get in despite being a full paying business class passenger. So unfortunate that the call bell challenge was so abysmal for business and economy. I hope they get better. Also, I would like to bring this to your notice that 470 new short and long haul aircrafts are coming in which will facelift the airline. The ones you have are intermittent vehicles that are helping the international routes. In fact, air India invested in some of these old aircrafts with better seating rather than making you sit on the ultra old air India 787.
