Anybody thinkin' Stevie Ray here ? There's all kinds of great music in all categories...everyone needs a bit of all of it! It's what tells us....that we "have a soul"! Nice music.
Great to See 👀&Hear that You Can Wail THE ELECTRIC BLUES GUITAR With Gusto INTEGRITY HONESTY VISION and Hendrix Mr Dawkins BLUES :) Surviving TOGETHER with Love ❤❤Seeing You Again IS GREAT! I do "get it" I get that he has always been a "B" lister in the blues world. I've listened and watched him play for nearly two decades. Same repetitive overplaying, annoying overbearing tone, lacking creativity, lacking nuance, just hammering repetitive sounding scale exercises.
I kinda get what you're saying. But he's still talented. He just doesn't go weird places like JB, SRV, etc to break things up. And he doesn't build/vary tempo/feeling very much. He goes full throttle from the get go. But, still talented. :)
@@mumenrider862 yes, thanks for the respectful reply. Some people hget crazy on this format. I've seen him many times abdc his drummer Mike is a great friend but you took the words out my mouth. He is pedal to the medal all the way through and great entertainer and person. I guess because I play and have been around really great great musicians all my life I look at things too technical.
@@physiciansassist1 As a player myself, and this being live, I can see why he plays how he does. I know when I play with my jamming buddy it's hard to always be "thoughtful" and pace yourself. So we should take live vs studio into account too. Even SRV can sound very repetitive. But I still love it. :)
Why you got to disrespect this blues legend. Just shut your hole and move on with your life. There is this thing called blues scales, btw...I think he does pretty well playing around them. I take it you weren't invited to play on stage? If you're looking for someone to compare to SRV or Hendrix, you're gonna be looking for awhile.

Hello Walter. :)
What ship was this?
It's The Pearl from Norwegian Cruise Lines
@@1AnitrasDance I thought so. I'm on it every year for the last 7 with sister hazel. The rock boat.
You can cook a 🥩 steak on his fretboard. He can get very close to Roy Buchanan style.
Yes!! Kinda
Roy buchanan had his own game
He over plays ever song, and nearly every song, sounds the exact same, with the same overused "solos" that sound like scale exercises.
You just din't get it.

@@2817well you are absolutely right
Ron Larson Not bad seeing that he nearly died of liver damage in 2014 and had to learn everything again from scratch.
so why are you not up there playing to an audience rather than sitting at a computer?
No disrespect. Feel like he plays the same licks over and over... throughout every song

Blues definition... 3 cords and the truth. It is repetitive tho, I must agree. But dark and moody too. 🎸 ♥
