Absolutely ,my man blows my mind,we all know he had to relearn to play ,came back intense in his play God bless him putting out some intense music we 💕😘.
Walter Trout is the greatest living Bluesman, there, I said it. Long may he continue and G-d willing I shall see him play live while we are both still around.
@Gordon Bell right on brother. Don't even get me started about how year after year he gets screwed by the Hall of Lame. He should have his own wing in that craphole. That's right I said it! ✌️ bro.
Back in the 1980s -90's I used to go see Walter play at a very small bar called Perqs on Main St in Huntington Beach almost 2-3 times a week. I lived right around the corner and was blessed for having to be able to do so.
I have been a fan of Walter Trout, for about 30 years, got all of his albums, some signed by Walter, and he is still the best blues guy ( in my eyes and ears ), lets hope he can continue for a long time!
There are a few good ones around , but for me after the late Gary Moore , I have to say Walter Trout is the best , very old school sound , love it .Alfred NYC / PR
just saw Walter at the Iron Horse in Northampton mass.. this past thursday (8/22/24). show was great and the whole band signed my guitar...however..Walt looks in bad shape...I sat right in front of him and his hands constantly shook like he has Parkinsons....on top of that after the last song i was side stage and wanted to ask him if he would autograph my guitar...he just walked right past me in a hurry told the 2nd guitarist to get him outa there quick....he took his hand and led him down to the dressing room where no one was allowed. they took my guitar down to him and returned it,,,but if he was in good health he wouldve hung around and talked to us and did autographs at the cd table. prayers Walt...hope Im wrong.
If Walter Trout is touring within driving distance of you, and you have an appreciation for guitar music, rock, and or blues, you really need to go see him, even if it means taking off part or a whole day from work. He was on my bucket list, I saw him at a small, personal venue in Evanston, Illinois, and he was superb. Even though he is a bit more edgy and harder rocking of a blues guitarist than my wife usually prefers, she too, was blown away. One of the finest guitarist still touring these days.
I have seen Walter many times in Grand Rapids. The radio station here used to have blues on the mall for several weeks in the summers. They had Walter when he was lesser known. He became really famous especially in England. When he needed a liver transplant. Wlav had numerous concerts for him. His son came and played. WLAV raised a lot of money for him. After his surgery he had to relearn the guitar. They would ask him to play blues on the mall. They could offer him what he was getting in England but he still came and put on a great show for us. The last time they had the shows when tony gates introduced him he said to give him an extra warm welcome because instead of being in Grand Rapids he could be playing in England for $80,000. He got no where near that on that day but Walter always understood where he came from. He is a great person.
P.S. I love Walter and told my Bro about this amazing blues musician and he told all his mates so now there is a Walter Trout fan base in Garmisch-Parternkirchen, Bavaria courtesy yours truly! xxxx
I really feel honored been warming up with my Bluesband Mr.West Goes in Tromsø Norway for Walter Trout Band at the Nobile Club in the 90-s !!! May God bless you bro with still good health! Hoping to see you soon again in Norway and play together on stage as you told me! 🙂
I’ve had the greatest pleasure of seeing Walter Trout 4 times 🙈 ffs he’s absolutely brilliant 🤩 a very modest guy, his playing just blows me away. Just go and witness this Master live 🙏🏻
A living legend, a great Bluesman. Love this guy, saw him the first time at Musichall Worpswede/Germany in 2008, and I'll see and hear him there again at September 8th, 2021 again. Can't wait anymore!
This band was on the rise. Once Lance was gone, they tried to regain steam and fizzled out. Lance Lopez drove their motor. Nice of Walter Trout to join them, lending his greatness to this occasion.
The epitome of pure hell’s fyre of twisted heart and soul served in a glass of blues and pain while crying tears from heaven. Walter Trout is just that.
Riley "Blues Boy" King. May he rest in peace. I for one will do my part to enjoy his sweet sweet music. And if you all haven't may I suggest you do the same. God bless yall. 🙌 Walter you're sublime. I'm beyond floored by this performance.
My husband and were religious fans of Walter’s when he played at Perk’s in Huntington Beach, CA in the 80’s. He’s still got it in spades! Love, love, love your music, and I hope to see a live performance soon!
I saw Walter 3 years ago in Karlsruhe at the Tollhaus (Survivor Blues Tour). I've seen and heard a lot of concerts in the last 40 years, but I've never seen such an intoxicating guitarist and singer as walter. What a man, what a sound, what power what energy behind his playing his voice, I take my hat off to you, Walter
Orgasmically good. What a tribute to B.B. King! I saw him in London as a special guest of Frank Zappa. I can only imagine what an experience it must have been to see B.B. and Walter play together. This selt-penned tribute of Walter's is so heartfelt and so mind-blowingly good. Thanks so much for posting.
Beautiful person too. Get to see him March 13 2023. In Boise Idaho, at the 100 year old Egyptian Theater. My second time I will have witnessed his amazing story. Of losing it all. And almost dead. He literally had to relearn how to play his guitar after his terrible bout with Hepatitis. His message is hope. Hope in the only one that can save you. Jesus Christ. Walter is an amazing story, talent, singer. But most of all a Beautiful person. God Bless You all and Walter , You are a friend of God.
YES AMAZING WALTER,. BB. HEARD THIS AWESOME TRIBUTE..& I KNOW HE WAS PLEASED 💜💙💝 KEEP ROCKIN BABY, YOUR BLUES IS AS FRESH & EXCITING AS EVER BEFORE..THANKS FOR THE BLUES 💜💙💝MUCH LOVE
I had the pleasure of seeing and meeting Walter a few times in a little bar named Perks in Huntington Beach Ca. back in the day where he lives. Best guitar player I ever saw and I've seen Clapton, BB King, Richards, Eddie, Townsend ect. He is a super nice guy as well.
Walter, so great, jumped from the "shovel", hope he lives as long as possible. Just saw and heard him here in Germany south a few weeks ago. He plays the blues like I would do - if I only could ....however, I am not so bad....Uwe, guitar player.
People say BB is dead, but although we may never touch him, but his music will touch me for the rest of my life . If people would stop and slow down the music could touch them. Of course you can just say I am touched in the head. The King is dead, long live the King.
