Many wealthy people lived on upper Spadina, Bloor, and Sherbourne (which was the original "Rosedale" district but worked and shopped downtown along King and lower Spadina so this route reflected the social structure and demographics of Toronto in that era.

Slight error in your map at 2:30: you have the cars running down Church Street from Bloor to King. They were still on Sherbourne.
