I ran out of my sunscreen and used my sons banana boat kids sports stick and it worked better than most of my face sunscreens and was super convenient lol it left me a lil more shiney but out in my yard Who cares as long as it protects So I'm super curious about this one
🐰 Thank you for trying the stick product. I always see them but get nervous about the application process. This one didn't look very daunting. Very informative and I'm going to give it a go! .... Just not this pricey one in particular. 😄
I love sunscreen sticks, but I don't use it as my only sunscreen. I use it on my lips, and as touch up, or extra layer on nose and ears. I was on a no buy for more face sunscreens, but now I really want this, and their regular face sunscreen...
That's a very wise use. I've been better about using sunscreen on my ears since seeing some horrifying pictures (of what can happen without sun protection 😥) - seems it's a commonly missed area, and yet certainly exposed to the sun!
You know what's funny? I realized I have a bit of fondness for the white cast in mineral sunscreens just because it IS hard to miss a spot! 👀 Did not realize I felt this way until I found chemical filters that work for me 😆
These sunscreens are not replacements to the usual cream or gel based sunscreens. Dermats suggest these after creams n Gels followed by sunscreen sprays. These are mostly for usage when we can't use the cream or gel versions like while traveling or over makeup, stick is convenient.
To be honest, i don't trust any sunscreen sticks, powders and sprays for daily use. We don't know how much of those products that we have to apply to get the labeled SPF, and they aren't dependable as a main sunscreen. They may be ideal and come in handy for reapplication, but considering how expensive they are, i'd rather spend more time and effort to reapply my conventional sunscreen than waste $30 to buy this product. Isntree is one of my favorite brands, though. They're very straightforward with their products and i love their Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel sunscreen. That sunscreen is a joy to use and it's one of the most elegant sunscreens out there. It's more affordable than their sunscreen stick, but i won't consider it cheap either.
I have the exact same suspicions as you. Would love to hear more from these brands about exactly how much to apply to get the SPF on the packaging - and even then it feels, frankly, like a crapshoot. Which isn’t how I want to feel about my sunscreen! But I’ll add that I’ve kept them in my bags and already did need them for emergencies (especially when I was mid-loading the u-haul. Was SO glad that little stick was nearby!) so I do see a place, but I wouldn’t make them my main sunscreen either
My favorite eye creams are: glow recipe avocado (a little expensive, but great for me as I don't use retinol serum in my eye are), Heimish marine (which is not expensive given how big the tub is and how long it lasts!! Just know it's a very thick eye cream, best for night), and elf CBD (fav daytime eye cream! Never pills with makeup/SPF) For body cream, the Butters Hygienics for a thick occlusive body cream, Pyunkang Yul intensive ceramide lotion for everyday use (unscented), and then I have a rotating collection of scented ones I enjoy (in my body care video if you want the long version of this haha)
I kinda want a stick for the kids but lol probably not a $40/oz stick. (The kids are getting resistant and reapplying is like I tried to dip them in acid).
I could definitely see stick sunscreen when I need to reapply. I go on long cycling rides and something like this would be ideal. However the price and chemical filters make this one a pass for me. I don’t think there is a physical stick version but I’ve never looked for one. So loving these daily reviews. Can’t wait to see your review for tomorrow.
I use the cetaphil sheer mineral sunscreen stick and it is great for touch ups when I am out on a walk or bike ride. Haven't tried it over makeup...yet! Thanks for the idea. I assumed it would just make it all smear together.
I love stick for the back of my hands while I’m driving. No sticky greasy steering wheel
Ooh that is a good use indeed!
Great idea!
Just came to say ooh, good idea too. 😁

Yes!! The shininess aspect seems to be the drawback with these sticks. It’s almost fascinating how consistent that aspect is lol!
Ahhh…the sunscreen stick! This is where a UV camera would be handy. ❤️❤️
True, it would. Might make me feel more comfortable with the coverage too (or i can accept that the shine is the sunscreen on LOL)
Love these sunscreen reviews 👌 Thank you!

😄
Yeah, the price/oz surprised me!
I think there is a place for it for sure. I agree with you. I would keep it in my bag too. Have a great week ❌⭕
I gotta admit - it’s so nice to not worry about carrying a big tube around anymore! Thank you, you too 😃
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Agreed. Take care ❌

I m usually indoor n not out in the sun. So during day I reapply thru stick nowadays. When ever I go out I apply the regular one
For a reaplications when you are out or over your make up it's perfect. With a powder you might keep that greasyness under control
This has become my default for over makeup! I’m surprised by how well it works
Ive only had experience using the sunbum zinc stick. But that one has a white cast so its very obvious if you've missed a spot haha.

This is what I’ve been waiting for lol

It's on sale right now for $11 and change on Stylevana ❤️
👀 thank you!!

Do you have a recommendation for a good eye cream and body moisturizer? I trust your judgement!

Yeah tbh this made me more interested in seeing what options we have at the drugstore here. There must be some more affordable options!

😏😏😏 we might have an all mineral sunscreen stick coming friday (wooo!)
I use the cetaphil sheer mineral sunscreen stick and it is great for touch ups when I am out on a walk or bike ride. Haven't tried it over makeup...yet! Thanks for the idea. I assumed it would just make it all smear together.
Wow $32 bucks I think the kids sunscreen sticks are like $8-$10 dollars lol Ill stick with those for my lazy no makeup days lol
Smart plan!
I must be stupid tell me why ur applying again over makeup… I switched to stick from liquid
For touch ups ☺️ sun protection lasts for 2 hours of direct sunlight
Stylevana is marking that up something awful. It's the equivalent of ~$15 to $17 in Korea (less than 20,000krw).
Hi...❌⭕
I wonder if using a beauty blender on stick then pat over makeup
Hmmm that might work! Although I'm not sure how much the BB would absorb?
