Microlaryngeal Surgery for vocal fold polyp. Right vocal fold hyalen polyp is resected using a medial microflap technique. After formation of flap, excessive polypoid tissue is removed by a micro cup forceps. Elevated flap is then re-draped. Key to success is to preserve mucosa and normal tissue as much as possible.
In vocal polyp surgery post-operative pain is tolerable and usually patients are discharged within the same day. Voice rest is not mandatory.
