- In a grand celebration of the ‘Ring of Fire’ undisputed heavyweight title fight, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has commissioned Jacob & Co., in collaboration with Big Time Creative Shop, GEA’s creative arm, to create four limited edition Astronomia Art Ring of Fire watches.
These masterpieces, meticulously designed to mark a milestone in boxing history, feature the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, 2024, in Riyadh. Each watch showcases intricate rose gold figurines of the fighters and their gloves, expertly positioned around a double-axis flying tourbillon.
The design elements pay homage to the iconic WBC champion belt, with the hour and minute dial reflecting the belt’s distinctive style and the strap’s unique green color. Both Fury and Usyk have been gifted one of these watches as a keepsake, symbolizing their participation in the first undisputed heavyweight title fight of the 21st century.
One of these exceptional watches will be auctioned by Sotheby’s during fight week, with all proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish International. This auction not only offers a rare piece of boxing history but also supports a global charity dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of children with critical illnesses. The event underlines a unique alliance between elite sports, luxury watchmaking, and philanthropy, envisioned by Turki Alalshikh to leave a lasting impact beyond the ring.
