When the 1990 Flash TV show got cancelled, I bet John Wesley Shipp never dreamed that he'd be The Flash in multiple TV shows 3 decades later.

I got to meet John last year. Man was he so awesome. He’s got family that lives maybe 5 minutes from my house. Both John and grant are from my hometown.
Personally, I love how John Wesley Shipp just found new life in the CW after being on the Flash - dude is a very fun actor to watch, glad to see him in the costume again.

The ending was actually so good, a small part of me doesn’t want it to continue because I’m so satisfied with how the show finished. But I’ll still love to take a Season 4 anyday.

I think this just further hints that The Flash Season 9 will have an enemy so big that he'd need the help of Batwoman and the JSA. It can't be just a coincidence that this show's Jay Garrick is practically identical to The Flash's/

@@jonathansoko1085 there’s no reason not to believe it either. They could have easily changed his costume for Stargirl. Given him a simple shirt and pants like in the comics. Instead they used the Flash costume. They also would have known people would notice the identical suit. What does that tell you?

Out of all the CWDC shows to end Stargirl pulled it off the best as far a series finales go. This last episode easily could've been a train wreck given the circumstances, but this show has been consistently good from a writing aspect IMO and it was written in a very open-ended way yet giving everyone closer if this is the end. I'm hoping this show comes back on HBO Max because this has been my favorite show out of all of them.
Don’t get me wrong I loved flash and arrow but they went to long and then were given limited runes for the final season and black lightning and legends weren’t really given warrings so can’t really blame them for bad endings
@@seanbraley2772 Yeah Black Lighting and Legends were blindsided by their cancelations and it showed so I dont really knock them for it.
@Sarkastik Leader Actually when it comes to Legends of tomorrow they were not blindsided. That was entirely the showrunners fault and he admitted it. They were told that there was a very strong certainty that they were not going to be picked up for another season. Due to the recent buyout from the new owners of CW. They were told to write the final episode of the season as if it was a series finale. The showrunner for some bizarre reason doubled downed and gave it a cliffhanger.

@Sarkastik Leader it was that's why if you really look back. when you see all the other shows that year they all had an ending that felt more conclusive while legends didn't.
I always enjoy a good "And the adventure continues!" type ending.

The time skip was a good idea, but I think would've been nice to see the JSA members together, ten years later, preparing for a battle, but still the ending it's good

I think the only reason they didn't was the difficulty of having to age all these young actors up ten years.
This is the best second ending after Arrow series if u want to compare with Arrowverse series and the spinoff multiverse.

Best ending of any of the CW/DC branded shows of the last ten years. It was also great to hear the bit of the Seven Soldiers of Victory vs the Nebula Man. I read that story in a comic digest of Justice League stories a long time ago.

I loved the finale. Stargirl becomes Starwoman. And Mike becomes STRIPE 2.0. Hourman and Dr. Midnight get married. The two became close, but I didn't see romance blooming. The Rick character needed a family, and Beth needed someone not nerdy like her. I'd love to see a HBO Max JSA movie with all of them 10 years later. With a good script it would be highly entertaining.
Rick and Beth are an item in the comics. I'm sure if the show was given more seasons, we would've seen the romance developed. I already noticed that they were pairing the two of them up more in scenes as the show went on.

Shade and the Crocks were my favorite bad guys.
It’s so weird and kinda cool to see speedsters lightning by different people, here jays lightning has an after effect and is kinda red from what I can see and it’s still fast but goes by
Slower compared to how speedsters are shown in flash
The ten-year time jump (2031) was a genius move. Cindy, Mike, Jakeem, Jade and Tim, Artemis, Cameron and Grundy are all part of the new JSA. I didn't expect to see Jay Garrick. Plot twist!
(I wish they had brought back Henry Jr./Brainwave and Joey Zarick/Wizard in the finale...)
So, this means we're going to see the JSA in the final season of The Flash? They should've been crossing over to Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow when they had the chance. Damn you, CW and Nexstar! (But Stargirl on Titans? I mean, she's on Earth-2 while Titans are on Earth-9. How does that work...?)

Glad to hear Beth and Rick end up together wish I could see it and the other stuff shade talked about but I enjoyed stargirl !!!!
While this epilogue feels tacked on, due to the abrupt cancellation, at least the show got to end on the creators terms, not the networks.

I really hope this is the Earth-2 Jay Garrick alive and well like Dr. Mid-Nite and Starman, like he survived or something after season 1, and not the Earth-3 version or another version of him because that would undercut this whole reveal, in my opinion.

I'm so glad it's confirmed Jay that we see here is from The Flash so there's no more disinformation but this makes me question is it connected to The Flash Season 9
But it is not confirmed. The breach effect is completely different from the one used in The Flash, and the lightning is red here. I really want it to be the same Jay Garrick and I hope they confirm it's the same as The Flash on S9.

I don't know, it could be the Jay Garrick from the JSA or from Earth-Prime, when he come out from the portal, it could be either time travel or travel to another earth. The Flash season 9 will premiere on February 8, 2023, we might see if The Flash and Stargirl will have a crossover

My thought would be TNT or Freeform. Because TNT aired repeats of Supernatural a few times since it used to be on the CW and Freeform has a few drama shows that Stargirl would fit right in with.
There is a crossover between Stargirl and Titans which is scheduled maybe the end is for preparing that.

This show should’ve continued. This and Superman & Lois brought new life to the arrowverse and it’s a shame that Stargirl never really got its time to shine.

Ok, I know how much of a reminiscent moment this is, but can we talk about something real quick? What color do you see Jay's lightning as? Cause me personally, I see red lightning, and Jay normally has yellow-ish lightning. And the breach he came through, it looked like a negative speed for breach. Now I may just be seeing things, but I feel like Jay could have been corrupted by the negative speed force just like Nora was in the flash

The best ending of all the CW/ Arrowverse series.
So, the Arrowverse has been a huge part of the CW lineup for a decade now. With only one season remaining of the Flash, that will leave Superman and Lois as the last DC show having had any ties to the Arrowverse. Has it been said why CW had decided to wrap up this franchise? Has their been any announcements as to what they may be replacing all of these (now empty) time slots with?
There has been a great deal of reporting about this. The CW was *SOLD* a few years ago to another company that wants do have less scripted-series and also wants to be for a much older, conservative audience (seniors?). This is why the Arrowverse series and many other CW shows have been cancelled. If you do some Google searches about this, you will find many articles discussing the reasons.
Stargirl was one of DC's better new shows, one that did the characters justice(no pun intended). While I'm a little bummed that it ended so soon with so much story left to tell, I'm glad I got a chance to see the journey all the way through. And plus there's been talk of Brec Bassinger's Stargirl making an appearance in Titans, and the JSA may still show up for the Flash finale. So maybe we will see the rest of their story fleshed out after all.
