There are tons of local beekeepers who are less than honest with many of them whom were reportedly caught selling fake raw honey that is either pasteurized or heavily mixed with other artificial additives and fillers for a quick buck. It’s very easy, in our area, to find local honey. It’s on the chain store shelves, on the mom and pop store shelves and you can even go directly to the house and get some. One house leaves the jars on the porch and you put the money in an envelope and take your jar (this only works in honest communities though).

But Manuka honey direct from New Zealand. Do a Google search and find producers that deliver. If you get it directly from New Zealand it will be 100% real.
Hold it...hold it. I bought the Pure 'N Simple Honey which has the "True Source Certified" logo, in keeping with your recommendation. Yes, it comes from "Distribution: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc." What gives?

Every once in a while I have a tiny taste of these heavenly honeys. The flavour and aromas, still linger, and are still amazing. It was in the east end market near Jarvis street.
Great video and informations as ALWAYS! Thanks for sharing FLAVCITY with me ✌❤❤❤
I was in crete Greece and the honey I had there was incredible. I find it in local Greek grocery shops in canada
I learned about this when I studied abroad in Greece! There was a farmer's market and they even had different varieties of honey which had different tastes which before I got there I didn't even know could happen
There are tons of local beekeepers who are less than honest with many of them whom were reportedly caught selling fake raw honey that is either pasteurized or heavily mixed with other artificial additives and fillers for a quick buck.
Buying from local beekeepers does not guarantee you are getting genuine raw or real honey. What's worst because of how technological sophisticated that some honey producer are these day, in truth, it's actually impossible to properly validate whatever a honey is real honey or otherwise unless it's tested thoroughly in a lab. So unless you either can verify for yourself firsthand that the honey you are buying is actually harvested raw with no added artificial flavoring and stuff or have the honey it's self tested in a lab, you really can't be 100% sure you are getting the real stuff.
I saw your video where you talked about ground spices, you should buy whole spices n grind them not very fine by low speed grinding n store in glass bottles in fridge, they will be good for a year, grandma's way in our home, we avoid readymades, make fresh at home, takes time but health benefits, right
I have a question about the Manuka honey. There are several grades of this honey ..can you explain that in another video? Tganks..love your videos!!!!
Honey is something always best bought from local producers. No problem finding pure and good stuff here...
😖 why is USA importing any food from China 😖
Because it's cheap junk
Where is the LOVE button at? 💖. I’m so glad you did this video! Thank you for always educating us!
Beekeeping runs in my Family and my brother has his own Apiary and absolutely loves what he does! I’m working on Beekeeping myself. Have to keep the Bees so they can Pollinate the World! Btw.... this has been the Best Year for my Brothers Bees. They have been busy bottling up their Honey to share with everyone. 🐝🍯
Is any of the Trader Joe’s honey good?
This would be helpful. Not everyone has a Costco membership.
OMG, instead of crying, google and remember reading is fundamental!!!!!!!
@@gicee7242 no crying here, thanks. Prefer Trader Joe’s anyway. 😉
and this is why i buy honey from local beekeepers.
I just checked to see if my Costco has the Manuka honey. They do but for $80.
diana bonet should
Sorry , should buy Manuka with K Factor 16 or higher is better
diana bonet hello, but who’s $ is that ? I forgot what it is in my NJ COSTS, BUT Ihave caught it on sale for $37 + and bought 2or 3 I used to send my sister in FLORIDA & the unfiltered dark one too, but
She just passed. . On last month. Cheers 🇦🇺🇺🇸
I literally couldn’t find real honey in the grocery store. When i bought local honey and compared it to grocery store honey, the difference was crazy. The grocery store version doesn’t taste very nice (way too sweet) and i never liked honey all that much before but now i love it. I guess i never knew what real honey tasted like before, it’s delicous.
Is the costco raw honey from brazil good like it has that true source certification stamp that you mention and the packaging is 3 24 oz bottles for $10.99 in bear bottles
I have the same question
@@brendasotomayor1091 Kirkland Wildflower honey?
Costco Kirkland raw honey from Brazil in bear bottles has been filtered which is not good. You want to get unfiltered raw honey, with no added sugar.
Do you have prof
@@AngelicaRamirez-ti6wi The guy said in this video that honey in bear bottles is not good.. You can google it to find out more about it.
Awesome, thank you. Love you guys
I just received my honey from "Bee Konscious" and I can tell you the taste is out of this world. I literally would be quite content with my jar, a spoon and a great Netflix movie.
Get off Netflix.
Costco local raw organic honey has been recalled
I always buy Canadian honey. It's perfect.
It’s very easy, in our area, to find local honey. It’s on the chain store shelves, on the mom and pop store shelves and you can even go directly to the house and get some. One house leaves the jars on the porch and you put the money in an envelope and take your jar (this only works in honest communities though).
There is a great documentary from Morgan Spurlock about honey, and honey bees 🐝.
never heard of that one, i will check!
FlavCity with Bobby Parrish One in a series he did callled “Inside Man”
Yeah, I usually buy local Florida honey. I'll make sure they have that mark though.
Great video, and series! I’d definitely like to see more videos like this. Thank you.
I brought Kirkland organic raw honey from Brazil is this one good????🧐
Do you know anything about the Manuka honey sold at Trader Joe’s?
We Are Legion Hi, don’t know, never got through the LONG LINES But the MANUKA, I buy @ COSTCO, I think it’s from NZ , NOT INEXPENSIVE , but they also sell UNFILTERED HONEY QUITE DARKER GHAN REGULAR HONEY, BUT ANY HONEY Zthat does NOT CRYSTALIZE TO THE END is more than likely fake , cheers 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸
Insane find at Costco Canada: PeaceRiver 1kg creamed honey, non gmo, organic, raw, unpasteurized. Produced and packaged on the spot in Alberta at their family-run apiary. $9.49
Thank you for another educational video Bobby! I never watch one of your videos without learning something new. And buying local is very important!
** For any of you that might be out here in the Valley of the Sun, Rango Honey in Tempe, AZ has REALLY good local honey! (Especially the orange blossom)
They put a lot of the proceeds towards a local autism facility. I don’t know them or get anything out of this, I am just a “honey snob” and really like theirs!
Evil food supply.
What about the Costco Organic Raw honey in the bears ?
Yeah that's what i want to know that's my go to.
I’m curious about Publix honey. It’s in a bear but it’s local in A city in FL and only says honey as the ingredient.
Is the Costco organic honey fake too?
I was wondering the same about the Costco Raw Organic. It does not crystallize.
He is absolutely right about Chinese honey 🍯. We tested Thai and were shocked to know that almost all of the Chinese honey are absolutely fake. If you ever buy it, just donate the money rather. Or just buy sugar. It is a complete waste of your money.
What about the Trader Joe’s manuka honey is it bad or good?
Right SMH 😯
But Manuka honey direct from New Zealand. Do a Google search and find producers that deliver. If you get it directly from New Zealand it will be 100% real.
Hold it...hold it.
I bought the Pure 'N Simple Honey which has the "True Source Certified" logo, in keeping with your recommendation.
But checking what I already had in my cupboard : the little bear honey container from WalMart, it also has "True Source Certified" with the trademark on back. Yes, it comes from "Distribution: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc."
What gives?
No Costco here in Arkansas.
The deception runs deep. Nothing surprising anymore. Wonderful work and service to others here. 🙏
Damn it! I saw the thumbnail and I was like do I really want to know...FINE GIVE ME THE RED PILL.
You are very correct and I agree with you brother
As someone commented before, real honey crystallizes at certain low temperatures. Put the jar in warm water and it will decrystallize. Never use microwave heating. Honey is like our girlfriend, warm them slowly.
Hahaha
Or place on the stove when cooking, it has always warmed up easily for me.
I have an 80 oz, jar of honey that I bought at WalMart for $15. It is labeled as product of USA, Brazil, Mexico, India, Ukraine and Uruguay. It has the TRUE SOURCE Certification shown at 5:32.
