It is a BETTER idea to turn off the gas and let it run out on its own and stop so you don't leave any of the Crappy Ethical/Gas mixture we have to buy these days. Carburetor rebuilds, because of stale gas or gas that has become Unstable, is the Biggest complaint in the small engine industry. They can cost up to $350 Per-Carb. And dealers do NOT mind charging you. Also, ALWAYS use a fuel Stabilizer EVERY TIME you fill, even if you are going to run all the fuel out. You MAY forget, leave it standing and when you Really need it,,,it will NOT start. So use the Stabilizer at EVERY fill up.
Does anyone have a repair video of rebuilding the pull rope assembly with electric start for the eu3000is? Mine is appart and quite can't remember how to put it back together.
Still not sure how this uses a remote start kit. As it doesn't have an automatic choke or fuel cutoff switch. So outside any wireless remote start setup, you still have to go outside to anything. Not very useful if it's raining or you're in your underwear!
I have a EU3000is from 2004 and it looks brand new. The only way I knew the date was to show the serial number to a Honda dealer, and they looked up their magic decoder. You can't date a Honda generator online anywhere that I'm aware of. If anyone cares, the serial number is below the side door, and starts with EZGF-XXXXXX.
YOU DID NOT HAVE THE CHOKE ALL THE WAY OUT THATS WHY IT DIDN'T START. NO DISRESPECT, BUT I RATHER YOU JUST SAY THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE THAN TELLING US SOMETHING ELSE WHY IT DIDN'T START. I ALSO HAVE ONE.
Fuel lock or not, choked or not choked enough, when I run small engines, get them hot, shut it down for a bit and try to start it again, I sometimes run into trouble. Not always sure why, but not sure it deserves all cap response and assumption that I don't admit to mistakes. Seems you got a bit of a chip on your shoulder but everyone is entitled to an opinion. :) Thanks for posting regardless and I assume you like the machine as well. We continue to love it.

Sure. We just got a nicer camera with better video...an upgrade from the Iphone for sure. Thanks for the feedback.
Newest model of generator?? Umm we've had this since 2004 dude. Honda has newer models.
That's odd as it appears the Honda website is still selling this as their go to 3000 watt generator dude. powerequipment.honda.com/generators

Oh, Honda is still selling the same model, there's a cheaper 3000 Handi, without key start and some other things.

would have loved to view this but the sound is way to low if any background noise at all in the viewers environment.
