    Everyone wants to move out of India but I don’t understand why people think going abroad will make their life superb. In foreign countries you can earn money but emotionally it is very hard because you will not have your family or loved ones around to help you or sort things out when you really need them. I would request please be with your family because living abroad is definitely not easy no matter how much you earn.

      Absolutely true it’s not easy at all.. most of people from other countries move but only for few years I think only Indians and south Asians in particular are those who move permanently and adapt to new place with no intention of going back to home country

    Navigating the Current Financial Landscape in the USA
    The prevailing financial climate in many organizations presents significant challenges. It is prudent for individuals contemplating relocation to the USA to exercise caution and strategic planning. Beyond the complexities associated with obtaining a visa, the healthcare system is currently grappling with its own set of challenges. Potential migrants should carefully consider the health situation, given its notable expense in comparison to many other countries. Thus, thorough consideration and astute decision-making are imperative before making a move to the USA.

    I think being in India is definitely better. There was a time when we didnt get jobs here very easily. Now things have changed here. My daughter graduated from an ivy league and she didnt get a job.And many of her classmates also didnt get any job. This was just in 2022. But thankfully she decided to come back here and she got a job immediately. I am one of those people who is not very impressed with the US. My daughter is a doctor there in newyork and i have visited several times to be with her.

    I just have 1 thing to say based on my personal experience. Nowadays H4 EADs are processed faster. I also came here on h4 and got my EAD and also got a good job. All this within 5 months after coming to the US. So its not that you wont get a good job on H4 EAD. Recruiters look for skills and not on visa status thats what i think. Everyone’s experiences could be different. But those who came on H4 don’t lose hopes i can totally relate to the depressive thoughts you might get when you are not allowed to work due to visa and not because you don’t have the right skills. It also gets you into self doubt but dont worry be positive and keep upskilling and trying there is always a way 😊

    I have been residing in the USA for over 10 years and currently hold a Green Card. I work in a mid-level management position at a leading technology firm. If you were to ask me in 2024+, I strongly advise against coming to the USA for a career in computer science/IT. Job opportunities are increasingly shifting towards India, particularly in offshore positions. Currently, there are graduates from prestigious institutions such as MIT, Stanford, and UC Berkeley seeking employment in the USA, leading to intense competition. Additionally, an interesting observation is that my American boss has offered me a promotion if I recruit individuals in India and form a team based there, as it offers a significantly better return on investment.

      I have been here 34 years and I want Indians to keep moving here. Lol. India is herd life, no balance, and no value. I receive 55k resumes every month. My recruiter goes crazy processing. You just don't work, you have to have side hustle and a business. Why do you think Gujjus don't go back. Best.

    • @itisshashankdev
      @itisshashankdev Місяць тому +1

      exactly why people want to move abroad, because when a so called team is created in India it is always a back office, cost saving, or no profit no loss team. and such type expectation degraded the quality of employment. because of low cost center in India people get less hike less promotion and whatever good work they do goes to the person sitting abroad and they take all the credit. and whenever they feel they just layoff people to contribute to further cost cutting. so everyone wants to be that front office off shore customer rather than a Backoffice engineer.

    H1 B Visas for jobs are given to only 85,000 per year for applicants from all over the world. Those who come on F1, they are allowed to work for one year for practical experience. As such it is impossible for all F1 holders to get job. H4 holders can get admission in some college and get student Visa and if they graduate from US university, they get eligible for H1 B Visa. While on student Visa, they can do part time work to finance education.

    Hi Ritu and Prashant, I know this all problem is only with Tech Guy. USA also gives a cool J1 visa for research purposes (if you are a Ph.D degree holder), that is very stable for 5 years. Before completing 5 years, J1 need to complete a waiver process to change the status. If waiver is completed then HR can easily file a H1b and it is pretty easy for getting within a month. If your research advisor is happy then they can support and can apply for green card, this helps J1 to move to green card within 6 month. Yes, J1 scholars are getting Green card within 1 year but it is depend on the profile of scholars, strong research profile then processing is fast. Only the difference is salary, research scholar are not getting as much as getting by a tech guy. But J1 scholars are living in USA without tension to change in visa status. H4 EAD is also easy for scholar dependents and i140 can be process very fast. I am on J2-EAD and working happily here at Johns Hopkins Medicine Institute.

      Another thing, if it helps anyone, once you have sufficient research and publications behind you, you can ask your advisor or university to sponsor H1B as it is dual intent. Then on H1B you can self petition for green card under National Interest Waiver in the EB2 category. If you are an exceptional researcher you may even get to apply in EB1. You will have to spend money on your own, that is the only downside.

    Thanks for this informative video. I just have one question, if I go for a student visa and get a 3 year OPT extension and do not get H1B. In that case, will my kid be able to continue her education there even if I and my wife need to comeback to India.
    She is going to be in Graduation and there is a 4 year Graduation. I need to comeback after 3 year while she needs to complete her 4th year there. Will she be able to complete her study for 4th year on her student visa?

      Only married spouses of US citizens can apply for citizenship after 3 years spent on green card. If green card was received employment based then after 5 years you will be eligible to apply for US citizenship

      Green card means permanent resident. It means you are allowed to stay in US permanently but you will remain the citizen of india. To become a US citizen, you need to have a green card for 3 to 5 years and then you can apply for citizenship.
      Passport is the travel document given to citizens.
