    It’s only great if you get the salary in USA and live and/or send that to India or wherever.
    If you get the salary and use that in USA , only good if you’re not in any of the blue states.

    • @DesiInAmrika
      @DesiInAmrika  Рік тому

      It will be good in any states blue or white. And even if you save and spend in USA, 2500 to 3000 USD saving per month is above average. And if you invest it in some good Index Funds, you will be in the right path to financial independence even in USA.

    Hi Raju,
    Thank you for the clear and detailed explanation. I truly appreciate the way you present your points-it’s very effective.
    I wanted to seek your advice regarding an opportunity I’ve received. My employer has offered me an L1B Blanket visa with a annual petitioned salary of $10,4000 , and the city of relocation is Atlanta, Georgia. My current CTC in India is 24 LPA (10 years IT exp).
    Given this context, do you think it would be a wise decision to move to the U.S. with my spouse and two kids (aged 6 and 8 years)?
    Looking forward to your insights.
    Thanks!

    • @DesiInAmrika
      @DesiInAmrika  Місяць тому

      Thank you @Skr_Sharma for going through the video. I think offshore companies pay around 100,000K to begin with. It should be find in Atlanta. The major expense will be rent and then car. You will not have much expense for kids education. You will have to pay for extra curricular activities like any game coaching, swimming etc. But those are optional.
      If I were you, I would surely come to Atlanta. Not because it is too good a package. But for the onsite experience. And to work closely at the client location. It adds a lot to your resume. And once you have some experience at USA, you can always return and bag almost 1.5 to 2 times your current India package.
      Best wishes.
      Not to forget, if you like the life in USA, you can always jump the ship to get better package.
      Please let me know if I need to provide any other information.
      And if you need any help in Atlanta, please let me know. I can try to connect you with one of my friends.

      Hi @Raju
      Thank you for your quick response! I’d appreciate it if you could provide insights into the average expenses for a conservative/avg luxury lifestyle in the U.S., specifically in Atlanta. With a $104K package, how much could I realistically save monthly, considering:
      1. My wife is a homemaker, no plan to work in the US.
      2. With 24 LPA I usually saved 10-12 Lakh(post tax) here in NCR.
      3. Visa Type - L1B Blanket (is L1B blanket is differ than L1B, I read somewhere it needs to be renew every year by employer. Is it)?
      Additionally, how does the cost of living in Atlanta compare to other major U.S. cities or states?
      Looking forward to your guidance!

    • @DesiInAmrika
      @DesiInAmrika  3 місяці тому

      Dear Varun - 30 lakh is a very good package. If you do not have onsite aspirations, you may continue your 30 lakh package. 100k is not that good. But all offshore consultants start with 100 to 110k. You may get 6K per month in hand after tax and insurance.
      And major expense is rent here. And then a car which you can buy pre-owned. So, you will have a car EMI, car insurance and rent. The emi and car insurance may be max 600$-750$. If you can manage your rent and car emi within 2K to 2.5K, you will be good.
      Food and other expense will be less than India.
      If saving 2K USD or little less per month is ok for you in the beginning, you may come.
      So, if you are ready to compromise in the beginning and you and your spouse are ok to do your own household chores.. then come to USA.
      Also, the onsite experience will add great weightage to your resume and if you return in 3 or 6 years, you current package should be doubled in India.
      Best wishes..

      @sixthsense.. it depends on your expectations. if you are happy with 10 LPA, no need to venture out. No place better than staying with your parents and family.
      If you want to see world outside of India and travel, you can come, stay for couple of years and return. But remember, coming to USA or any foreign country can act as a trap. And you may find it difficult to return .. so hv a clear thought in mind.
      But I would say, at young age, if you want to explore the world, know about other cultures, experience working directly with client and add some extra skills in your resume, you can try to come for temporary basis.
      And 102000 PN at NJ is OK salary..
