Why do people stay in the USA?
Why do people go back from the USA?
Does it feel lonely here?
Do you have a sense of belonging in the US??
How often do you visit?
Apart from dollars what do people get in the USA?
Do they have a feeling of home in the US?
How were your early days here?
What do they regret?
What about your parents, do you feel guilty about not being with them?
How comfortable is it to stay in the US?

If you are not going to assimilate in US with Americans, and if you have no love for America, then go back to India. You have used America. Trump will kick you out anyhow.
Please visit some other cities as well ! Possibly Albany, NY, the capital city, but small city. You can meet many youngsters like H1B visa holders and also some seniors who lived whole life in US. Some are in 80s, have no intention of going back to India, but still hold on to Indian Passport, do not want to become US citizen
The major reason thats stopping me to go back is the toxic work culture in India where seniors look down upon juniors and teachers look down upon students. There is no mutual appreciation. The money, pollution, weather, are secondary compared to this. Having said that, I have full empathy for Indian students who work outside and have gone through the struggle. You know that in US you will be recognized more and appreciated more, but then the visa regulations are awful and your parents are back home. The life of uncertainty - I feel we are neither of this country nor that country.
Frankly my current high paying job in the US is 10x more toxic than my humble paying job in Bengaluru.

We came back to India after 10 years in UK and never regretted it. That is because we were financially sound. Without finances it would have been a nightmare. As it is we love traveling in India, love how convenient everything is, love the weather, love having family and friends around. It all depends on what road God has prepared for you.
How long ago you moved to India?
It's unfortunate that could not succeed in UK.
Wisest decision you have ever made! 😊👍🙏🏼
If you are not financially stable it would be even nightmare in UK .
Good.
After living in outside in france in 10 years i returned and i feel it is better to return.
Har har mahadev
What has Har Har Mahadev go to do with the topic of you returning?
So for the 10 years that you continued living in France you never thought of Har Har Mahadev? But when you returned to India [or possibly had to return to India/forced to return to India, due to visa issues] you are back to doing Har Har Mahadev. If Mahadev was so Har Har, you wouldn't have left the land of Har Har Mahadev [India] to go live in the No 'Har Har Mahadev' land of France. And that too for 10 long year.
Why did it take you 10 years living in France to remember that Mahadev is Har Har? Not getting permanent residency in the Non Har Har Mahadev France/Europe? Yup, not getting permanent residency in Europe/Amreeka can make a lot of Indians remember that Har Har Mahadev can be found only in Indian.
So now that you are back in Har Har Mahadev land, what next? Mandir-Masjid riots, Upper Caste-lower caste fights, Beef/No Beef vigilantism? Let me guess...You likely are going to pack your bags and run from North India to some city in South India in search of jobs. And once there you will like to boss over the local South Indians demanding that they, the locals, learn Hindi and speak to you in HIndi, so that your life is made comfortable in South India. You yourself will make zero attempt to pick up 5 words of the local South Indian language.
But living 10 years in France, you likely put in some effort to pick up basic French and spoke French in ishtyle. So in non-Har Har Mahadev lands, you have no shame in picking up Foreign languages. But there is a lot of shame in picking up INdian languages even when you live/work in Har Har Mahadev land.

I work in Amazon, My friends all work in big companies like Google Microsoft etc, Let me tell you that none of us are happy. We all are more depressed than we were in India. I haven't seen a positive change in any of our lives. I came to the US because my family is lower middle income from generations. The only goal for me is to earn money and somehow elevate our family wealth. THATS IT! Neither we are happy not our parents. Thats the truth ! and it's the same case with most of the people I know.

Same feeling here - From Canada
What makes u depressed apart from missing india

Cons of India: Lack of basic civic sense, ZERO public etiquette and discipline, people are never considerate towards others or society, infrastructure not adequate, unnecessary competition for basic things, toxic workplaces, power can get into people's head turn them into @$$#0l3s very easily, corruption in both public and private sectors, cheap quality in everything, unequal opportunities, open discrimination by the system based on caste, religion or people you know, slowest judiciary, people keep poking their nose in others business (which they are still continuing after migrating here)
Cons of west: Cost of living is sky high as you pay an arm and leg for basic necessities, housing is a disaster, some things are unnecessarily high and premium quality, the system is designed to squeeze every last dollar you saved, People can get suddenly and unreasonably radical and out of hand, rampant mental health issues, racial politics, deteriorating state of law and order, failing medical system, stagnant or collapsing infrastructure and development.
infra is not a major problem anymore imo, it's the unorganized and undisciplined public. They ruin anything that's built and have 0 sense of basic responsibilities towards public properties. If Indians magically become organized and disciplined, that'll solve most problems on the roads relating to infra. Stricter and better implementation of laws is required which will again require stopping corruption on micro level
All my comments convey positivity about India. What I hate the most is religious division, ppl spitting in the road.
cost is sky high? lol you want to spend in cents when you’re earning in $$$
Bro, how many years ago did you leave India to think that caste is still a problem, at least for Hindus? Muslims try to post Fatfa to kill Ahmedia and other law caste Muslims, but Hindus discrimination is very limited to villages and politicians at most.
Having lived in India and abroad, your comparison could not be any more true.
I was determined to go back.
But recently, everywhere i look, Indian society is blindly and rapidly aping the west.
People have become materialistic and the relationships have diluted. Everyone understands the language of money, show off has crossed all the limits. Weddings in India, भगवान जी बचाएं।
No one wanted to repeat the clothes they had worn before because pictures are posted on Social Media. The simplicity, the innocence that used to tug at my heart, is gone. U will rather find a simpler, more Community driven life in the US than in India.
Tomorrow we r celebrating Janamashtmi and the elders are sharing stories from Krishna's life with the children. Next week is Ganesh Chaturthi. We celebrate festivals, enjoy each other's company and live a simpler life.
Life in भारत has become complicated in last few years.
Nobody wants to have another India in US. If you like all these things and not adopting western culture better go back. Every immigrant wants to come to US from 3rd world country and cultures and then hate western culture.
Definitely agree
People rather than accepting always try to pull you down to make them look higher, be it friends, colleagues, especially relatives.

There are essentially 3 reasons why people move back : 1) things not working out in a developed nation ( visa , job etc) 2) cheaper labour 3) compulsions - friends and family . A very small minority will move back because of the love for India - what’s exciting about bad air , blaring horns , seeing kids begging on the street . Having said that US is probably the most developed developing nation , with crime and craziness .
There are visa issues also, one of the reasons people are forced to leave

In india too how many people get to stay in their hometown if they are from small towns (which is majority of India). Cousins are all over the place for education, job hence staying in india too you mostly miss your state festivals if you live in a far away state for work or education. Ritu is asking questions considering ideal scenario of the full extended family from a big city like Delhi and everyone still is in Delhi celebrating everything together like birthdays and marriages and festivals. This could a single digit of the population who could get such ideal scenario.

Dear albeli,
Your questions are really your own doubts. It seems you really miss India. You are trying to find answers from others, which is impossible. Each one has their own reasons. No point in comparing. India can never be US and you can never feel India in US. Be where your heart is, otherwise it will always regrets.

I work in Europe. My work life balance, safety being a woman and travel opportunities really make a difference. I do not think I will move back. I like going back home and spending time with family. And definitely it can be lonely sometimes. And in many fields, job and research opportunities are really good and can’t be compared back home. Glass ceiling for women in finance is real. Not to say women can’t succeed but definitely there’s more prejudice against working women. Commuting in Indian cities is a nightmare. Having access to nature is also a big plus.
These days women are given priority in all fields because of diversity and men with merit are discriminated against..

Their is no main stream media in India and we know how current ruling government destroy India media and Media show ground reality, media is voice of common people but their is no media in India
And there are a lot more problem for example nonsense speech by Indian company owner that want their employees to work 16-17 hours daily
Bad decision taken by current government that reduces employment in country and create more competitive environment for jobs
Cheating Exam system of UP Bihar that have majority of India population because of that their is unfair competition
Fir example two OBC Students going to coaching daily in Kota for jee preparation and same students have full attendance and other students that study in Delhi have to go school daily .
So result of both will be different

I think you are asking old era questions to the new generation. Whoever comes to the USA, they only look at their life, very rare people think and worry about the family which he left in India. As people grow , perception is changed. It's such a practical world that has become. So in my opinion, your questions are not at all relevant to this modern and real world
Glad to see some realiastic comments here..otherwise the same topic discussed in marathi channel and there i saw mostly unrealistic and dramatic senti comments.

I believe Red-tapism , corruption , nepotism and lack of civic sense among the masses is the major concern people left India in last 3 decades.
A lot of people wish to return but the condition and law-n- order should be conducive for the common people.
Spot on!
First make India liveable then everyone will come back.. population in India has surpassed China.. there will be more competition for everything and those who get chance to start their life away from all this drama will fly away.. there is nothing wrong in it.. if they keep thinking of missing out on marriages or friends or family then they can't give good future for their kids.. it's the kind of sacrifice they choose to make for their future..but if India becomes like western countries or even l 50% like it then people definitely come back.

Very much appreciate your efforts. Conversations sounded very fluent
Came across this video recently. I came to the US 35 years ago and have raised two wonderful kids who are grown up and away in colleges pursuing their dreams. Lost both my parents and now live with their memories. Feel like a stranger going back to India, a country I call home. Fortunately, my wife still has a family back there and I do have a cousin, so all is not lost..meanwhile we built a good circle of friends here in the US with whom we travel, go out to dine and hangout. I feel happy India is growing and providing opportunities which never existed when I graduated out of college (there were opportunities, but the competition was so tough that I don't think I had a chance). Good luck to those coming to land of milk and honey :), may all your dreams come true!!

but at some point in 2010 it felt boring when a neighbour left for another town. It felt like death in family, me and my wife felt lonely. After cmng to india, it was difficult to settle down as it was reverse cultural shock, Job env is mostly boss oriented, work is not properly appreciated.
But once you gone passed that phase, i started liking staying here.
Only thing i miss from US is the wide veriety of foods and portion.
Not many people talk about worst air pollution and water pollution and lack of groundwater in India, let alone worst unregulated pesticides usage in agriculture and poison poultry with unregulated antibiotic and hormone usage. No one wants to talk about how much all these and unregulated rampant population explosion causing cancer rapid spread in all urban centers in India....
Ritu.....one needs to pickup bags and get back. My and my wife, we spent 10 yrs in US and one day, we decided and got back to India. Didnt think of the green card we had, house we had......veyy happy to be back.....
Amazing talks❤
Brain drain is increasing more than half of young gen. of my village has gone abroad 😞
Money brother 😁
The ONLY and ONLY reason for Indians to stay in USA is DOLLARS😂😂😂
Take that Dollars off and ask everyone to stay back without dollars and see the effect 😂😂😂
And ofcourse we Indians know how to find loopholes in Visa system and we do that. Also we are ourselves to be blamed for creating the hype of western culture and our parents proudly say “mera beta/beti na USA mein job karte hai” 😂😂😂
I have even heard of people missing their last moments with their ill parents and they die and after that we cry saying “Yaar mujhe jana chhaiye tha” .
Career is important but at the same time I feel people , culture and our food is also one important.
And the daily news about shootouts happening in schools, parks, malls etc
@@nishs148 Absolutely!! Spot on 👍🏽
Wait for Dedollarisation and civil war in US
True and well said
Muh ki baat chinli..we can't be so selfish to leave are old parents lonely in thr olden age when they require us the most but also I feel karma comes back.. when these NRIs own kids will leave them in the oldage home in thr oldage..
Nice blog Ritu, enjoyed 😉
Nice video. Bahut maja aaya video dekhke.
People do not realize until kids grow up and dirch them that they will end up absolutely lonely
Ritu, we moved back to India 1.5 yrs back after 10+ yrs living in USA n my hubby was in US for 20+ yrs!
Oh my god!! That's so amazing. Would love to speak with him for an interview on my channel. Do let me now if this is possible. Thanks!!
Thnx for reply.he won't. Came back only for his parents..health is ok but he wants to spend time with them even if they used to visit us in USA once is 2 yrs for 6 months at a time.
I didn't want to come back.
I would love to visit but settling abroad naaa! I love my india and esp my nagaland! There is just something indescribable about the place you were born in!
U r doing with good intentions & content 👌
Nice Video, Albeli Ritu... might be other factors such as Corruption and law and order, police, judicial system in terms of dispensation of justice, business friendly env and entrepreneurship etc. in comparison to India. India need to improve in aforementioned areas. But here reside our family, foods, and places of worship, temples (12 jyotirling and Shaktipeeth, Char Dham)and holy rivers, all of these provide peace and solace. May lord of the Universe bless you
Bro I am not agreeing with your two points entrepreneurship, businesses friendly environment come to Gujarat our government and even college will support you financially
Law and order? No man. My experience in the US has not been good. I have been mugged, attacked with a taser gun and got my bike stolen all within 1.5 years of me being here. In no case police was helpful, they might be helpful only after I die ! Lol
Inspite of patriotism one has and miss friends and family, very few Indians return. Most of them finally to settle in US. It is lifestyle, money and career. We cannot ignore the truth
And then you ask for dual citizenship...😂😂😂 Why you ask ... When you don't come to India... 😂😂😂
I think best brains have stopped going to US nowadays as most tech companies are shifting development centers to India. Only those who want to get dowry, show off go n settle abroad. I have come across many contractual Indians employees who are so so dumb technically. God knows how they travlled to the US.
@@manthanpatel6295they do. If they got a chance to get dual citizenship they would want that. But they can’t. Your argument was very illogical and idk why so many laughing emojis.
Good Questions asked…..👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Good Luck 👍🏻👍🏻🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Left Germany after 6 years and came to home country india❤
You lost your job
I spent 12 years in US and returning to 🫡🇮🇳 Mera Bharat verrrrry soon! 😊👍
There’s NO place like Bharat! NO doubts about it!
Dont
I don’t believe you
Fakey
I have spent 4 (total 6 years in the US) years of my life in that Newport river front. I used to stay in the 1 River Ct. Building overseeing the Hudson river. Now I am happily settled back in India and never had a feeling to go back there.
Opportunities, Infrastructure , quality of life is real differentiator
Which state did she take the interview and when since she said it’s cold there.
I like the country because its so clean .
kyo tune jhadu maar ke rakha hai 🤣😂🤣🤣
To achieve your goal you have to sacrifice. Without sacrifice nothing is possible
Best video of urs ma'am 🤗😊..
Good job Ritu 👍❤
U S bank falls ko bhi cover kro apne style me,,
One thing to note is .. going to US/ other countries immediately ups the social status. There is an incredible proudness when one communicates their kith/ kin are abroad. It’s not just the money , lifestyle, openness, travel …but increased self respect when one goes abroad.
May be it is the case 10 years ago .Now everyone is going there. There is no any IIt JEE entrance kind of exam to feel proud that u wen t there
Exactly. I don't think anyone deserves extra respect solely because they got a job abroad. It is just hyped by immature/ignorant ppl
Totally agree with Mayur. Bro have a special respect and status. They’re considered as more knowledgeable and native people tend to prove that they’re nonetheless than those are residing abroad or returned back.
That mindset is changing of late. People feel bad for us on the point who will be with us as you get older. Have travelled to many places and seen some Indian houses abroad. There is nothing to gloat or proud. There are lots of challenges one has to face and the expenses abroad..My God. It's better to live happily where you are destined to. Many Indians turn very self centred around their immediate family and cannot appreciate or get along during their small trips back to their homeland. Their mentality changes with breathing the air and drinking the water around..it changes them unconsciously in a subtler aspect which the individual can't have control most of the time unless one is very conscious and self aware
@@rajib8231 somewhat agreed. Also the objectivity suffers a bit. Suddenly everything in India needs a drastic change, its political system, states, or business. And this is not just India, have found it among other South Asian communities.
Also their solution to these problem seem to be to follow the US/EU model not realising that one to one correspondence doesnt exist.
Most funny thing is everyone who started living outside India start loving & appreciating India & its culture and advocating Return to India but they don't return back themselves... Aunties keh rhe thi...India is best-..but na khud aana chahti hein na apne bachho ko kahengi aane ka :P :P
Only things good in India are mom dad etc
Apart from that the infrastructure
Civic amenities
Traffic jam
Roads
Heavy charges are down
Do you plan to add a video on why you returned to the US from UK
I know a lot of people who have gone back and happier even though they were living a successful life abroad studied from IIT or London school of economics to any top notch school.. doesn’t matter.. home is where happiness lies
Yes bro last week i was in dubai and 3 4 days i feel good about dubai sky scrappers and all the law but after that i need my friends and family.
Janni janmbhumich svargadapi gariyasi...Those we dont like anything here in India. Please don't come back. In whatever condition my country is, its mine and its my responsibility to make it better. There is famous saying in Marathi which means- While going to God from the body, there is Country and we have debt of it.
Set your priorities right, do not regret later. Go overseas when you're desperately needed. We all have one life, enjoy to the core with family and friends. You will never get those precious moments later.
Basic civic sense, infrastructure, equal opportunities for all people doesn'r poke their nose in others business lot many things apart from Dollars😊
Also Instagram profile looks better 😂😂😂 Americans don't have a culture, gun fire violence out of many. Equality? Racism is rampant there. Wonder why you didn't mention those. Same psychology why Fair and lovely sells like hot cakes here...
Usa is also good but maybe i think safe is less compared to India
Awesome ❤ 17:54
Been away from home from 10th grade.. not much difference for me !!!
This is such a special vlog. Loved it!
The filth, the noise, the crowd, the nosy neighbor, lack of recognition, dirty politics are some of the reasons. For those left behind there’s no choice but to praise their motherland.
Huh I miss those noise only after eternal silence here lol 😊
Great viewpoint . Thanks for speaking the truth many won’t
Experience void outside once n u vil start loving noise...
And what about the shooting, racial attack, living like a second class citizen always with fear in mind..bhagwan na kare kal kuch ho gaya to sab bhaag k apne country ko hi ayenge fir bolenge mera bharat mahan
Every where we are human beings and must work for human and nature cause.but do not forget your motherland where you born.
I know various people lining here for more than 10 years and they still feel like going back to India but couldn't go because of their kids sake. Now India is not like before, i think except good air, everything is there in India...
Amazing video
