Ahh yes, best afk farm for the internet inclined. That is, after bsb anyway, before bsb I say those two werewolves that get stuck on the doorframe, relentlessly farmed those
When my Soulsborne nerd friend told me about the "climax" dungeon, I ground my way up to level 300 over the course of the game, doing one full stack of Bold Hunter's Marks before each major boss. Still can't kill Orphan with max Vitality and weapon strength, he's just too fast. 🥲 The irony that I'm constantly pounding away at those Echoes but denied "release" by that placenta-slinging toad.
The Giant Lord getting farmed by players over and over again adds so much meta-level to his lore. No wonder the Last Giant freaks out so much at the start of the game when he first sees us!
I mean, the giant downside is someone actually playing DS2 haha, a clunky, rushed, janky sequel thrown together by the B team while Miyazaki and the good devs made BB haha..it's not terrible but basically just a soulslike knockoff that happens to be made by From. Awful hitboxes, bad level design, there's no reason to play it when 3, Sek, BB, Elden and Nioh 2 exist and are infinitely better
The giant pigs and Shadows of Yarnham on the way to Mergo's Wet Nurse in Bloodborne! The beauty is that they fight and kill each other and you just collect the blood echoes. All you need to do is just run past them!
For me? Definitely the five hollows on the Drake Bridge in Dark Souls 1. Since the area is conveniently placed right next to a shortcut and bonfire, all I had to do was poke my head out from the stairwell and the hellkite drake would serve up barbeque undead to the tune of 555 souls -- not a lot in the endgame, but at the point you find it in Dark Souls 1, easily enough to get one or two of your stats to 40 without a sweat.
It for sure helped get the ball rolling on my first playthrough. Farmed probably 40-50k of souls and then I think I made it to the belfry on my first real run past the drake bridge. Didn’t even know there was a way to open the bridges gate and make the drake leave.
I realy thouth you guys would mention the BloodBorne pig farm route, as it's one of the best whithout the chalice exploit and I'd say death by having a hunter shove elbow deep into your rear end and pull your guts out ,over and over again, is probably an idea hell had to thank Miyazaki for.
Yeah, putting the scholars there for BB instead of Mergo's pig fisting, or even cummmfpk feels like wasted comedy potential. Maybe they're trying to be more family friendly? The lecture farm is good but I expect most people don't use it.
@@AscendFromDarkness97 I mean, it's a good spot midgame, the pig farm is best endgame, but should be on the list because I belive most people would rather an axe to the head over a fisting death punch.
I have a soft spot for in Dark Souls 3, the first dragon you meet you can see through iron bars, will endlessly breath fire as an stage obstacle..but it also just kills every enemy around with a bonfire just up a ladder around the corner. I think this is also at the very start of the game after the firelink shrine, too.
@@mr.tamoshanter50 I mean, there are mechanisms in place to prevent PvP ganking (they still don't work lmao, but it would've been much worse without them). Players cannot engage in non-consensual PvP if they differ too much in levels and weapon upgrades. So it literally doesn't matter whether a player levels up slowly over the course of the game or instantly - starting with Dark Souls 2, you will only be able to invade players of a similar level/soul memory bracket. In that sense, it's not even really a cheat, just a way to make a new character fast. It's nowhere near as concerning as actual cheats and hacks that exist.
The belly flopping explodie mummy boys in DS2. Basic as basic can be and relatively early game when they first show up, yet they often trip me up and then you are almost certain to get hit again just as you get up.
I haven't got far in DS 1, but for DS 3, I was having exceeding large titinites stored, that was how common they were. (And tbh like 12 of them suffice for whole playthrough)
No ones mentions the respawning skeleton babies near Nito's boss arena, that gives many souls while being super easy to kill. Turns out killing childrens is nice
A fond memory goes out to the knights in the hall right before Ornstein and Smough in DS1, who suffered many. MANY a death by the hand of me, who didn't know about the Ariamis farm spot but was determined to grind to an 18 in faith, intelligence, and a bit more strength, so that my pure Dex build could wield artorias' great sword lmao
Tbh if you're efficient at parrying them the silver knights are a better farm. The phalanx is just more consistent if you have trouble with the knights
Darkroot Garden in Dark Souls 1. The mage, cleric, and invisible thief were easy to lure out, kill for a total of 6000 souls, and then it was a quick run up the stairs to the bonfire (initially hidden behind a wall) to start the process over again. I farmed those guys for hours and leveled up substantially.
Yeah, that was my farm spot on PS3 Dark Souls in both NG and NG+. And if you got bored you could red eye orb or go human and get invaded til the end of time.
Came here to say the same thing! The most fun thing was getting them all to chase you together, then hide between the stairs into the area and the cliff. They would lemming themselves off the stairs, hit against my shield, and yeet themselves right off the cliff. Very funny, very effective.
Not exactly a farming spot, but the guy that stands in the middle of the run from the sculptor's idol to Lady Butterfly. I killed him so many times I started to feel bad
Yeah I generally save world 4 for last but if I know that this is going to be a very heavy level requirement playthough than I make sure I get the silver gauntlets form 3-1 and a bow for the adjudicator to farm souls but if I'm really feeling frisky I get the thefts ring to farm Manta rays and a Stormbreaker and it's no wonder they never added enemies to gimmick levels ever again it was broken
This was me playing an Archer build in Demon’s Souls. Not only were several manta ray within range, there is a merchant just inside the tunnel who sells an unlimited amount of cheap arrows.
The Vulgar Militiamen in Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow are decent to farm early in Elden Ring. They give just over 1,000 runes each which isn’t bad for how early you can get there, especially if you use the portal outside the 3rd church of Marika to access it.
I didn't do much farming until the skeletons outside the Hermit Merchant's Shack near Leyndell, then the funeral party on the Road of Iniquity, then the Abductor Virgins below Mt Gelmir, then later the wolves outside Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs, then the soldiers near the Prayer Room in the Haligtree.
Those erdtree gaurdians by the Harder erdtree avatar in kalid are my go to enemies for early runes. They aren't very hard to kill and all their gear sells decent, and they each are more than 1k runes a piece. Most of them are grouped up and or hidden which allows you time to kill em before they come out the ground. 😅
I think my favorite is the Ghrus and Darkwraiths in front of Farron Keep in DS3. You don't actually need to do any fighting for the most part, since the wraiths and ghru will have a big fight against each other so all you have to do is mop up. It's a pretty good spot, especially to boost up before facing the anime boss.
Reminds me of one spot in Eldin Ring that I farmed for a bit in the early game where I got 4-5 giants to fight each other to the death since they tend to whack each other more than you in a crowd. It wasn't the fastest method comparatively, but it sure was amusing.
The vulgar Militia outside of bestial sanctum are also not a bad early farm if your weapon has a few levels on it, they’re easy enough to backstab and give like 1k souls each and there’s a grace at the top and bottom of the spot so you can go up and down between the graces And this is somewhere you can go basically immediately the moment you get torrent because of the teleporter out behind the church of marika Heck it’s the farm I use until I’m past godrick
Despite having seen it a good few times in videos, the feeling that first time you use it yourself to farm all those albinaurics is spine-tinglingly good
The rats in the depths in DS1 for humanity, similarly the humanity sprites in the abyss of the dlc for humanity also. The rotten in sotfs, absurdly easy farm - bonfire is right outside his room, and he drops two boss souls each time. He is the simplest way to break the 1mil soul memory required to access drangleic castle early and as such is often used and abused when making builds which want late game items early :).
In Dark Souls 3's Undead Settlement, using the Giant from tower (especially after becoming friends with him) and his ballista-sized bolts was really fun and somewhat relaxing
I love Jerry! Farmed him so much back in Ds3. Though he does occasionally get his pal Havel to sub in for him, who is…significantly less chill but still farmable!
I remember farming the Souvenirs of Reprisal from those Crow Demons in the Painted world in order to rank up my reputation with Gwyndolin without having to actually do PVP.
Yea silver knights are the best farm spot in 3. The black knights behind Gundyr aren't bad either if you want sell loot too since they drop their weapons
@@absollum Thanks. I'll be impressed if it hurts more than farming Sunlight Medals from the army of Falconers in Tseldora in DS2 SotFS though. They were on NG+6 at least with bonfire ascetics after previously farming the Prowling Magus for Slabs and Benharts questline, plus Covenant of Champions to respawn them.
For the Sekiro entry, I also farmed a Ministry ninja except the location was different. Within Ashina Castle, the first Sculptor's Idol you find upon entering past the two "WOO" guys from kites through the window has the best spot throughout many portions of the game. Even progressively gets better as the game progression takes place, with the enemies becoming slightly different, semi-difficult, and much more lucrative as it ramps up. Best part about it all is that you can full-clear the room(s) via stealth at all times, and it takes about 30-seconds each cycle. If you add further the Demon Bell status, it's a very profitable farming spot for XP alongside money!
In Elden Ring I farmed the Broken Statues in the Deeproot Depths by the Site of Grace outside the Lichdragons area. About 10000 Runes in 30 seconds, with Torrents help.
The Rotten in DS2 is also often reviwed and farmed by players. It's really not that difficult of a fight and gives a lot of souls. Angel knights in ds3 are also a good pick since they drop the most souls in the entire game.
You know what’s funny about the Phalanx entry for me. Yes, they got very unlucky in my first playthrough… but the Crow Demons just beyond them probably got it even worse, because they drop Souvenirs of Reprisal, which are exclusively used for ranking up in the Darkmoon Blade covenant, which I happened to be in. That’s not even mentioning the two Engorged Hollows who’s only crime was being in the way of my murderous rampage.
Sort of related: Sneaking in circles next to the first sleeping Draugr you find in any Skyrim crypt while popping on a podcast (say, Mom Can't Cook, the ultimate DCOM pod!) for that sweet sweet stealth levelling
In Dark Souls 3 there was a spot that had these 3 fat angel knights that would fly down. If you ran into the building they spawned outside of fast enough they wouldn't see you and one just hangs out by the door. Then just use the Rapport spell that charms enemies and they would kill each other.
here it is, as a pyromancer myself i got to ng+ 5 farming these guys relentlessly and with bed of chaos, red tearstone ring, report and a elemental dagger farm these guys became a piece of cake. honestly my favorite place to farm since they are so wild and dangerous that you could still die if a series of unfortunate events took place.
This spot isn't super close to the Bonfire though since the elevator actually takes a while to reach the top or bottom. Besides, you'd have to kill any remaining Ascended Winged Knights (yes that's what they're called) that survived after they've killed their rapported friend. And they're by no means easy to kill, even on their own. An easier farm spot would be the one near the door to the Abyss Watchers. A couple of Darkwraiths spawn in to pick a fight with a bunch of Ghrus. You don't even need to lift a finger for this one, just sit back and watch as they absolutely go to town on each other. Best part is that there's a bonfire not even 3 seconds away.
Another one to farm is... Rats, in Dark Souls, in the Depths. Not only because they give souls (in fact, they give very few), but because they drop Humanity too! Also, speaking of Mibu Village: The villagers also respawn endlessly. ANd if they get overwhelming, just do a Bloodmist execution, use the confusion to whirlwind slash them, gain back all the Spirit Emblem it takes, and you can get a LOT of gold, XP and other little knick knacks without having to ever returning to the idol.
Silver Knight loop in Dark Souls 1 and Remastered. Once you open the shortcut and know the parry timing you can basically do the loop endlessly, oneshotting them the viscerals. Also it’s right next to the Giant Blacksmith so it’s perfect to max out gear
My favorite farm was the start of the Haligtree. Six little chubby angel dudes chilling on the branches, all incredibly vulnerable to being pulled off the edge by gravity well. With items and consumables it's worth something like 15000 runes per repetition
Oh, damn - The church in DarkSouls 1! The Bellfry Church. I used to farm there for hours on end, when I started the game. Sure, not much Souls to gain like with other enemies, but the amount was very good for quick starters xD Especially when you had the strats down for that xD
The giant pigs in Bloodborne. Just in general. While not typically close to a bonfire, they're one of the few enemies that directly drops blood vials, and multiples at that. I typically used them whenever I needed to farm, since by the time I got the echoes I needed, I was well stocked on healing items too!
I remember there being a good farming route in Sekiro in the late game before you got to the giant koi. It gave a solid amount of exp for going around and killing a few enemies rapidly then going back to a nearby rest point. I think it was a little trickier than the one listed here, but it was quicker overall and felt more active.
When I first started Elden Ring and was just wandering around with no idea where to go or what to do I found my way into the Divine Tower of Caelid. At the bottom is a Godskin Apostle standing guard that lets you get into glintstone pebble range on an elevated point without aggro. Even at only level 15 or so I could kill him with a flask of cerulean tears or two, and he had trouble pathing up to where I was. He was also basically in view from a site of grace and dropped almost 2k runes. Took only about a minute to a minute and a half to cycle
The gatefront soldiers in Elden Ring. Every time I found a cool new weapon, I raced there to test it out on them, running between the two sites of grace until I was comfortable with the new weapon's moveset.
I personally test unupgraded new weapons on the giant(and exiles, I guess, honestly they just disintegrate without me really trying to kill them) outside of godrick’s arena cause the giant usually survives longer than a single hit For fully upgraded weapons it’s the cleanrot knight outside of the prayer room at the haligtree That poor knight is also my cleanrot knight set farm
The best Sekiro spot I found was at the final sculptor's idol in the Fountainhead Palace, leading up to the dragon fight. Around this area are three palace warriors, who drop a good chunk of XP and can be killed fairly easily if you use the anti-air deathblow skill on them
There's a great spot after divine dragon, when the ministry attacks. It's close to where the original Chained Ogre was. The area is now overrun with ministry soldiers, but from the idol they almost all have their backs turned, so you can backstab your way through in a few seconds pretty much, with no resistance, and they give lots of XP.
I got stuck in DS2 in that horrible corridor before the blue smelter demon and farmed EVERYONE to have a chance against an ambush before a boss fight, in that save file there isn’t anything alive till that spot and I still couldn’t do it.
Ellen only has herself to blame if she ends up stuck-in with a sci-fi Souls Academy run of FromSoft's Armored Core 6 only to find the reaper has indeed returned with new duds, but not just a mech suit, oh no no no, but a full-blown mecha.
A good farming spot in Elden Ring is near the elevator to Mogh's boss room. There are a bunch of red alburnacs that can be killed for a good number of runes. Even better is there's a site of grace nearby to repeat the process as many times as needed.
I'd say my favorite in DS3 is the basement in Irhythl of the Boreal valley with all the creepy-crawlies. Spent way more time down there than I care to admit. And it's just a quick run (through water, which doesn't consume stamina in DS3) to get to the Distant Manor bonfire.
I remember farming in DS3 in a perfectly cheesy way. The Darkwraith in the High Wall of Lothric can be encountered fairly early and can be a tough fight. Then you remember you have an elevator on your side, and with a little bit of timing you can make the Darkwraith fall into the infinite void that is an elevator shaft, all the while you are already returning to the bonfire to start this all over again. Best part: the Darkwraith can drop the entire Dark set, including the Dark Sword, which was wicked before a patch, and still pretty good afterward.
Good early game farming spot in Dark Souls 1 is the bridge with the Wyvern on it. Once you've unlocked the route down to the bonfire below, you can just pop your head up onto the bridge for a second and let the wyvern do the actual work of killing the enemies for you.
The cat covenant people in Dark Souls 1 forest area behind the sealed door. You run around and aggro them, run into the corner near the edge and they all run up the path above you, leap down to attack you and all off the cliff, 20k souls at least and the bonfire it right next to the corner spot
Dark wraiths in DS1, only enemies that had a chance to drop normal titanite slabs, so you'd make it a point to farm all the slabs you need before heading into NG+
Wondering what it says about me that Mibu Village was one of my top 3 farming spots in Sekiro… but because I loved going full Dynasty Warriors on the villagers with the flaming spear
One of my favorite spots in III was right outside of the Church of Yorshka and just drop attacking the Stake Witch with a Symbol of Avarice and the Serpent Ring, I remember some good loot too
That reaper from demon's souls where you were standing he shot me with magic killed me instantly started using the poisoned dagger and it was actually working a lot better because then I could hide behind the platform and just throw them and then hide
Never has there been a more awkward moment than talking to Nepheli mourning the massacre of an albinauric village and you’re stood like the glancing monkey meme😂
Greyoll mother of dragons should be on a list of saddest enemies to kill in general, she just lays there and let's you stab her rump while her children stand around unable to do anything because you're out of their range, then when she dies she kills all her children in the immediate area with a final roar. That payout though.
I found the Pisacas, in the Dukes Archives, to be quite lucrative. They were a fairly easy enemy to defeat and the whole prison area worked well for farming souls
Honorable mention is the old handmaids and Gargoyles right outside of Yhorm's bossfight. Pop on mimic head and the Shield of Want and go to town, I would have to go back and check but you can get a bit more than 30,000 souls under a minute.
in addition to players determined to not level the right way in that same spot in Elden ring you can climb the wall with the mount and jump off the level which will despawn ALL enemies in the area granting you about 200k runes without fighting anything
I think you may have missed the dragon in dragon barrow. Granted you need to cheese the AI to allow you to cause it to respawn. The vulgar militia men are a decent early to mid rune farm as well.
Exploited the hell out of all of those near the end XD Word of Warning though: For the last one, the Summoner will randomly Summon the Knight Havel if you haven't killed him further into that level. Really screws up your run...
i think the ascended winged knight trio in the grand archives in dark souls 3 belong on this list. They aren't very hard to kill and drop around 20k souls without the silver serpent ring
this video made me happy :) seeing each game in this, all beloved and favourites, and methods i used back in the day, you guys always get my nostalgia going! i love dark souls 2 so much lol
Special shoutout to the hunter in Bloodborne's Chalice Dungeon with a naughty glyph. Can farm him for 83k Blechoes, and you don't even have to see him! Don't do the rest of the dungeon though, the rewards are not worth it. (I've finished the entire dungeon. Never. Again.)
I spent several hours farming the Knights of Zamor in Elden Ring. Not necessarily the easiest or most profitable one, but I enjoyed fighting through the Zamor Ruins alongside my Mimic Tear, and having a site of grace just outside the ruins made for quick respawns.
For the Giant Lord, there is one thing that needs to be kept in mind, though you probably don't need to worry about even at max NG+ but, you can only remain in that dream/vision for 5 minutes. Some challenge runs make it so this is actually pretty rough. At least I believe it was 5, might be 15 either way most people should be fine still.
In dark souls 3, in the ringed city, at the Ringed Inner Wall bonfire, there's a string of enemies you can fight on the way to the City Streets Bonfire that comes after it. In this section, there are a bunch of Herald Legion Knights, those big bramble looking enemies that have large health pools and hit like a MAC round (halo refference XD). It just so happens that you can drop onto these enemies from above for a plunging attack in their stupid void-looking head that Instant Kills them every time, versus having to fight them outright. The best part of this, the game makers have placed convenient bridges in the city for you to do JUST that, and one of the knights even walks all the way up the hill to a final resting spot in a lonely little corner that literally ONLY EXISTS to let you know it's possible to plunge attack them. If all else fails, simply run into the building at the top of the hill that they're too fat to fit through, and you're untouchable! These enemies drop around 100-200k souls per run and take about 5 minutes to mop up. Just be careful to take care of the ringed knights first.
Sure, but by the time you get to them, what are you even farming souls for?? Also, the plunging attack is less "just so happens" and more "this is very obviously how you are meant to fight them".
Before I knew about the albinauric farm in Elden Ring, I used to farm the ogres that stood behind the warmaster's shack before you even get to stormveil. They drop 1000 runes each which isn't too bad at the very start of the game.
It's way more effective to farm the ball in Caelid at the start of the game than the ogres. Ball gives 2000 per run, no fighting needed, just fast travel back to the site of grace, rinse and repeat, 2k runes every 30 seconds.
A generation raised on Pokemon, walking a little ways out of town and slaughtering the local wildlife who've had the misfortune of meeting you and your pet.
Dark Souls 3 - Catacombs of Carthus The bridge right in front of the boss room, where there are also many, many skeletons. Cheesing it to the other side of the bridge and letting the Skeletons follow you, you can then just cut the ropes on the bridge so that they all fall to their doom. Rather long run compared to the other examples from the video, but it's an earlier farm spot than the Drakeblood Knight.
If you count item farming as well as soul farming then you could definitely count the two blue eyed knights near tower knight's archstone in demon's souls. Always great for keeping up your grass supplies.
When I first started playing Elden Ring (my first Soulsborne btw), I would relentlessly farm the soldiers at Gatefront Ruins. Sure, there were probably better spots to grind runes, but fighting all of those dudes gave me combat practice and only took like three minutes per genocide.
Chocobos in final fantasy Tactics. The yellow ones could be trapped and disabled so they didn't deal any damage. Then you beat them and your leader while healing them the whole time. You didn't actually wanted to level up, you wanted maximum job points. As long as you had the right ability equipped you could farm forever, I remember hitting a chocobo for 3 exp and 26 jp (you got 10 for equal level). This was really useful at a few points where the difficulty spiked or you had limited farming options anyways
Honestly in my first playthrough of Dark Souls 2 (I got hooked on Elden Ring and played almost all the games in the same year after) I basically farmed every map until enemies stopped respawning, lol
The soldiers on the approach to Ashina Castle in the last act of Sekiro! Where you originally fight the chained ogre. They drop the most XP, and grinding them on higher NG+ cycles is pretty much essential to get the plat!
For sekiro, the estate v2 was my best farm spot. 3 interior ministry ninjas on a roof that you can chain backstab via bloodsmoke, then a fun jump down to the normal bandits
On DS1 the famous anoying archers on Anor Londo, the silver knights, once your're inside the castle, they have such a wide parry window that it's kinda cathartic to farm them for souls, and get that sweet sweet revenge for aaall those times they shot you off of the ledges
In dark souls three, I farm one lothric knight in particular. after the boss with the dancer, there is a bonfire for lothric castle. Thing is, there is a lothric knight in perfect lightning bolt range from the bonfire. Use the soul buff items, kill the knight, sit down at the bonfire to make him respawn, and you have a fast soul farming spot, in addition to the knight being subjected to eternal torment!
There’s a particular sorcerer just beyond the sealed gate in Darkroot Garden in DS1 that I usually spend a few hours grinding each play through. The gate itself is expensive to open at 20,000 souls, but with the “hidden” bonfire on one side, and a cliff on the other that’s easy enough to trick the sorcerer into falling off to net 2,000 souls a pop, you can easily get your money’s worth and more.
Not souls, but in the early days of City of Heroes, not even sure it got out of beta-test, summoning enemies would summon infinitely and their summons gave xp... back in beta, my main character was a human-plant hybrid I was calling Blood Rose.... so I had a tendency to say "Feed me, Seymour" whenever I met a summoning enemy. And have continued referring to summoning enemies in games as "Seymour" ever since... even if they don't grant you infinite XP like those did.
I farm the living pots in Elden Ring outside of Godrick’s boss area. I locked myself out of the best rune farm by killing the guy who calls you maidenless at the beginning of the game so I am forced to use that area. It’s drops around 1,060 runes per area.
My Dark Souls farm was the respawning NPCs in Darkroot Garden where you can lure them to be lemmings and dive to their death. Love that all these games have a specific farm area that almost feels like was intended.
Although it's only really early game, unless you've got time to burn ( heh). I did a lot of farming on the bridge with the large fire breathing drake in dark souls. I don't even have to kill anything. Just pop up the stairs to set off the fire breath and pop back down low enough to avoid burning your scalp and pop back down to the nearest bon fire and repeat. It's a bit tedious but if all I have to do is run back and forth and play peekaboo with a dragon then why not.
5:04 actually I have never googled it I just keep hearing people say go to it for a lot of that stuff but since I play solo and not online I can’t even do that
There's one of the snake summoners in DS3, just next to the Nameless King's boss arena. It's a short jog down a corridor to get to them, they have their back turned, they can be killed in a couple of hits - probably one if you pull off a backstab - and drop about 1000 souls. Not as hefty as the summoned Knight you mention, but even less risk.
My one addition to this very solid list would be the summoner dude next to nameless kings bonfire in DS3. About 15 seconds from bonfire, violent stabbing in the butt and back for about 10K souls a pop. Easy money. Got to love dishing out the MEGA-BONQUE to the equally squishy scholars and phaalanx bois too though lol
For Sekiro's farming spots I like the Ninja on the top of Ashina Castle just before the Owl fight, or the Fountain Palace Noble right before the Flower Viewing Stage idol in the Fountainhead Palace. Both have the same weakness of "have their back turned to an idol" but also don't need to sneak for so long to get to them.
I feel a little bad for that one hunter in that one chalice dungeon. Granted, he's had millions of opportunities to step away from the swinging axes.
I have no remorse for the hunter in the cum dungeon.
Ahh yes the *cough* *cough* ‘arrival’ dungeon
Ahh yes, best afk farm for the internet inclined. That is, after bsb anyway, before bsb I say those two werewolves that get stuck on the doorframe, relentlessly farmed those
in the beginning shadows of yahnarm were a big source of blood echoes as you didnt even need to attack them because of the pigs there
When my Soulsborne nerd friend told me about the "climax" dungeon, I ground my way up to level 300 over the course of the game, doing one full stack of Bold Hunter's Marks before each major boss. Still can't kill Orphan with max Vitality and weapon strength, he's just too fast. 🥲
The irony that I'm constantly pounding away at those Echoes but denied "release" by that placenta-slinging toad.
The Giant Lord getting farmed by players over and over again adds so much meta-level to his lore. No wonder the Last Giant freaks out so much at the start of the game when he first sees us!
It's traumatic.
Diavolo
Post-temporal (or is it "pre-temporal"? Time travel is always confusing...) stress disorder, one would assume.
Given how it's called blistered, I'm pretty sure letting the monster bird die, even temporarily, is a mercy
True, poor thing regardless
I mean looking at the creature, I would agree. Though usually mercy death is a little much for something you can get ointment for.
Pretty true about everything in most of these games. Pretty much everything is suffering something and most if not all can't permanently die
Yep. Me too.
Yep those guys really helped me get started in my game

The same goes for the dragon over the bridge in Dark Souls 1. Not a particularly fast method but definitely easy!
I remember that part. I shamelessly took advantage of it 😆
@@LrdVnmI just can't get back to the bonfire to profit from those souls
@@davidwitte8076 There is a shortcut to the 2nd Undead Parish bonfire, just below the bridge.
I cannot understate how much I loved the "as the crow flies" line
Here's an idea for a video: enemies that farmed YOU for fun. Or, basic enemies that had your number.
The cliffs of all the games.
Mimic chests. They got me a ridiculous number of times, because I was so pleased to see an opportunity for more loot.
The belly flopping explodie mummy boys in DS2. Basic as basic can be and relatively early game when they first show up, yet they often trip me up and then you are almost certain to get hit again just as you get up.
The first black Knight you see in farron keep that guards the ember still gets me from time to time. Never a guarantee to kill him xD
@@insaincaldothey’re difficult until you learn how to juke them, then the fiery ones are just free souls
You forgot those giant leeches in Blighttown swamp. Not for souls but for large titinite shards
Or the slimes in Depths if you're talking hella early game
+1 for "titinite"
I used the glitch to get Pricilla's dagger without killing her so I locked off Ariami's world to myself.
@@SamJ.J.you could always reset her aggro with Oswald, I think?
Tbh if you're efficient at parrying them the silver knights are a better farm. The phalanx is just more consistent if you have trouble with the knights
And the 6 Giants in the courtyards by the Fire Keeper. About 9k souls on every run
@@IliumGaming I always went through dressed as a black knight so that the silver's knew their place on the pecking order :P
@@zombear13 I was just about to say this. And if you they did manage to fall next to you on the ledge, one hit would push them off.
Not exactly a farming spot, but the guy that stands in the middle of the run from the sculptor's idol to Lady Butterfly. I killed him so many times I started to feel bad
Fun fact! He's there to build up your res power, so every once in a while you can have two resurrections vs Lady butterfly
@@Mishinori and that he did, for the 3 days it took me to defeat her
So much this. It is like the anti-farm. Didn't want any points from him but just killed him to be sure.
Kinda like the almost dark souls hollow dude in Bloodborne on your way to Ludwig.
The Reapers were good for souls, but the manta rays were the best for this -- especially with the Stormbreaker!
I always killed the reaper on my way to farm bladestone from the katana skelly. You never need to farm again considering how long that takes
Yeah I generally save world 4 for last but if I know that this is going to be a very heavy level requirement playthough than I make sure I get the silver gauntlets form 3-1 and a bow for the adjudicator to farm souls but if I'm really feeling frisky I get the thefts ring to farm Manta rays and a Stormbreaker and it's no wonder they never added enemies to gimmick levels ever again it was broken
i agree i acually came to comment that
@@screwybit8118 tbh world 4 is easy i just dont like world 2
This was me playing an Archer build in Demon’s Souls.
They also drop the milita saw which is an epic bleed weapon
Theres a troll carriage near a grace thats a good spot too since they dont fight back unless you get too close.
I've used the undead catacombs outside radhans arena there's two ghost knights who will respawn in front of you for ez backstabs
The vulgar Militia outside of bestial sanctum are also not a bad early farm if your weapon has a few levels on it, they’re easy enough to backstab and give like 1k souls each and there’s a grace at the top and bottom of the spot so you can go up and down between the graces
And this is somewhere you can go basically immediately the moment you get torrent because of the teleporter out behind the church of marika
Heck it’s the farm I use until I’m past godrick
The Sacred Relic Sword is so freaking nice for that farming.
Despite having seen it a good few times in videos, the feeling that first time you use it yourself to farm all those albinaurics is spine-tinglingly good
I used the Blasphemous Blade until I got the Sacred Relic Sword. It was less efficient, but it worked in a pinch.
Gravity is why I'm unlucky in a souls game
Came here to say this! First time i seen Havel spawn i was like okay FromSoft so this is your Jerry insurance policy..
It funny because I actually do put on a podcast when I start farming Jerry.
I remember farming the Souvenirs of Reprisal from those Crow Demons in the Painted world in order to rank up my reputation with Gwyndolin without having to actually do PVP.
It's nice when online covenants have offline ways to rank up. Sometimes you just want the toys and not the pvp.

@@walter1383good luck. Worse reputation grind in the Dark Souls trilogy. I got really lucky with some pvp wins.
My favorite in Elden Ring is by the Warmaster's Shack. There are 5 trolls nearby and it's super easy when you're at your starting levels.
Yup my goto starting game farm
About 10000 Runes in 30 seconds, with Torrents help.
its still a lot easier to do varre’s quest to get to mohgwyn palace, kill the chicken and then slaughter the albinaurics
I loved this format, this is awesome.
Most creative way I've ever seen to show someone where to farm exp.
The Rotten in DS2 is also often reviwed and farmed by players. It's really not that difficult of a fight and gives a lot of souls.
Angel knights in ds3 are also a good pick since they drop the most souls in the entire game.
AND the angel knights are vulnerable to rapport, so if you've got adequate int/faith, you can just let them bash at each other for a minute.
Those poor lycans in the upper cathedral ward. I needed those dual bloodstone shards
Also, speaking of Mibu Village:
The villagers also respawn endlessly. ANd if they get overwhelming, just do a Bloodmist execution, use the confusion to whirlwind slash them, gain back all the Spirit Emblem it takes, and you can get a LOT of gold, XP and other little knick knacks without having to ever returning to the idol.
They don't respawn infinitely, atleast not during my playthroughs, but they do respawn A LOT.
And the bonus humanity is nice.
I killed *so many rats* to level up the Chaos Servant covenant...
And then the Darkwraith covenant. I wanted that cool skull mask.
The squids in Duke’s Archives are infinitely better for humanity and souls too!
I would add the slugs in blighttown too, many many runs just grinding for those large/green titanite shards
Alonne Knights in DS2; they are hard to kill but tons of them around iron keep.

“Death, be not a scrub.” (Ellen Rose)
Silver Knight loop in Dark Souls 1 and Remastered. Once you open the shortcut and know the parry timing you can basically do the loop endlessly, oneshotting them the viscerals. Also it’s right next to the Giant Blacksmith so it’s perfect to max out gear
My go to, for when Pikachu and Snorlax proves to be a bit of a wall. They usually do, the bastards.
Sure, not much Souls to gain like with other enemies, but the amount was very good for quick starters xD
Especially when you had the strats down for that xD
Bauldur side sword farming is farming
I personally test unupgraded new weapons on the giant(and exiles, I guess, honestly they just disintegrate without me really trying to kill them) outside of godrick’s arena cause the giant usually survives longer than a single hit
For fully upgraded weapons it’s the cleanrot knight outside of the prayer room at the haligtree
That poor knight is also my cleanrot knight set farm
Lmao
That is the saddest skill issue I’ve ever heard
Well if it helps any that thing iiiiiis weak to Dark damage
Ellen only has herself to blame if she ends up stuck-in with a sci-fi Souls Academy run of FromSoft's Armored Core 6 only to find the reaper has indeed returned with new duds, but not just a mech suit, oh no no no, but a full-blown mecha.
A good farming spot in Elden Ring is near the elevator to Mogh's boss room. There are a bunch of red alburnacs that can be killed for a good number of runes. Even better is there's a site of grace nearby to repeat the process as many times as needed.
Theres alao a sanguine noble, so its a bit more dangerous.
Wait, is this the one that drops the Red Eye Orb? I thought he didn't respawn?
@@GriffinWolf yep that one! It does respawn. I’m not sure why it respawns either since it has a unique drop.
@@crownedclown_x Woww. Over 1000 hours in DS3 and I never knew that! Thanks! I guess having got the red eye orb I've never bothered going back down...
This and triggering the bridge dragon repeatedly to farm the 10k to get there.
Sounds like a bit less of a return, if you pay more in equipment for every run, but hey if it's safer.

Honorable mention is the old handmaids and Gargoyles right outside of Yhorm's bossfight. Pop on mimic head and the Shield of Want and go to town, I would have to go back and check but you can get a bit more than 30,000 souls under a minute.
The ghosts right by the Cat guild in DS1. They are close to human and a great soul farm.
in addition to players determined to not level the right way in that same spot in Elden ring you can climb the wall with the mount and jump off the level which will despawn ALL enemies in the area granting you about 200k runes without fighting anything
I think you may have missed the dragon in dragon barrow. Granted you need to cheese the AI to allow you to cause it to respawn. The vulgar militia men are a decent early to mid rune farm as well.
Exploited the hell out of all of those near the end XD
Word of Warning though: For the last one, the Summoner will randomly Summon the Knight Havel if you haven't killed him further into that level. Really screws up your run...
i think the ascended winged knight trio in the grand archives in dark souls 3 belong on this list. They aren't very hard to kill and drop around 20k souls without the silver serpent ring

Never. Again.)
143000 blechoes if you've got all three runes on.
I spent several hours farming the Knights of Zamor in Elden Ring. Not necessarily the easiest or most profitable one, but I enjoyed fighting through the Zamor Ruins alongside my Mimic Tear, and having a site of grace just outside the ruins made for quick respawns.
I hate those guys, glad someone is punishing them.
Same here! I also farmed those Vulgar Militiamen early game, since they drop 1000+ runes as well
@@NigelMelanisticSmithThe ones near the Bestial Sanctum aren’t terrible just a bit spread out
This was my same farming spot too for a while.

You’d think Jerry would be resistant to backstabs since he has a shield on his back but I guess it’s technically equipped to his arm.
Dark Souls 3 - Catacombs of Carthus
The bridge right in front of the boss room, where there are also many, many skeletons. Cheesing it to the other side of the bridge and letting the Skeletons follow you, you can then just cut the ropes on the bridge so that they all fall to their doom. Rather long run compared to the other examples from the video, but it's an earlier farm spot than the Drakeblood Knight.
but thats worth almost no souls at all.
@@Pwnopolis But it's the best spot I could find at that point in the game. If you really struggle, it's a valid grind option imo.
It's always great when Outside Xtra posts a Soulsborne video
I’m unlucky too, but at least you can’t farm *me* (that I know of)
Corpos doing that for years already
15:56 if I remember correctly there is a chance that they would summon a shade of Havel that was quite hard to kill.
Honestly in my first playthrough of Dark Souls 2 (I got hooked on Elden Ring and played almost all the games in the same year after) I basically farmed every map until enemies stopped respawning, lol
Ds2 was my first souls game and that was my tactic with my first character, learned each enemy before i learned how to deal with the levels as a whole
There's also the first two Anor Londo knights in DS3 that I farmed for double digit levels before fighting Aldritch.
I'm pretty sure thousands of my R1 presses in Bloodborne were against those Pigs lol.
That one enemy at the bell demons temple has met my blade many times in sekiro.
You’re telling me Death doesn’t appear before most people as a beautiful anime person sat in a giant mech?
I never did farm those academics in Bloodborne. I always did the run up to Mergo’s over and over and over and…. over. Awesome idea for a vid as well.
