    I have one doubt as we are giving DC supply how it is inducing the flux to change the deflection on the pointer.

    But u made a mistake when u were mentioning the dc gen principle
    U told it was current carrying conductor placed in magnetic field but actually it is not current carrying conductor it's just a conductor when the conductor placed in a varying magnetic field and we place Split rings in case of slip rings we get DC current

    0:33 .....the is no DC generator. All generators produce AC voltage !!! If we want DC voltage simply we use a bridge rectifier to do so !!!!

      right, but there is commutator present in dc generator which provide dc output thats why it is called dc generator
