I am going to suggest a Companion run if you havent. You can do anything you need to to buff your companions weapons and armor. You do not do damage, but use the charisma perks to pacify/CC enemies to set up kills for companions. That or beat Fallout 4 as an Old Timey Boxer. Using the boxing gloves or other unarmed weapons to become the greatest boxer the Commonwealth has ever seen.
That sounds like a Pacifist run. Stealth more or less is better with no companions and relying on if you know the layout and enemy spawns placements are at. Im glad this game is being played but it will bet tworn apart after this tv show.
Could actually work with the Water Gun you get from Nuka World. It doesn’t do any damage at all, but does engage in combat with enemies. (Allowing your companion to fight enemies who aren’t automatically aggro’d onto you; you’d be surprised how many important NPC’s aren’t automatically aggressive against the player.)

If memory serves me correctly i believe the best set of armor/weapons you can "steal" would be 3/4 set of dwarven armor in the museum in Markarth. unless you leveled pickpocket to 100 and found an enemy with better armor as you cant pickpocket most NPCs armors unless you kill em. Weapons wise the best early game 1 handed sword you can get is an elven sword which is master locked behind a display case in Dragonsreach unless you consider taking chillrend from Mercers house in Riften theft but it doesn't get the "Stolen" tag. Bows theres an elven bow in the Companions place in Whiterun. Dwarven heavy weapons and 1 handed weapons for the rest is all i can remember also in the museum in Markarth or theres 2 dwarven weapons in Kodlaks room (i believe both 2 handed but i dont remember exactly). Which for survival difficult it would be extremely hard to progress without anything better then early/med game gear, his crafting only run he used ebony/daedric early on and still died quite a bit. The run would most likely have to heavily abuse crafting (stealing ores / ingots) and stealth archer / enchanting build as it is the most broken build to play as
Try a run where you use the weapon an enemy used against you, changing with each attack. If someone shoots you with a pistol, pick it up and use it until you are attacked with a different weapon and use that one. Keep up the great content!

Great video! Yeah, I never bother with stealing, as there's not much worth stealing. Might be funny to use rank 4 of pickpocket to steal everyone's clothes, but that just for the goof. If you could survive the gauntlet, Nuka World has a ton of people to pickpocket. Challenge suggestions. Charisma perks only. You have to start with 10 and take any available perks. The saddest part is that intimidation and Wasteland Whisperer are actually pretty cool, but only after level 23. Also, I think Black Widow/Lady Killer are bugged, and make Intimidation harder, not easier. Sole Survivor run. You can only use gear from the promotional material. Vaultsuit, leather chest piece, hunting rifle, 10mm, and laser musket. Oh, and Dogmeat!
Black Widow only increases difficulty at ranks 2 and 3, so it’s good at rank 1 for pacifist runs. (Also, there’s probably a mod that fixes it since it’s literally just a typo in the game’s code apparently)
Fun fact: In my first play I gave Nick a power armor and after we split before the memory den his armor was red for me, implying I was stealing it every time I tried to use it. I'm not sure what triggered those, but it was at least funny to have a "stolen" T-45 in my collection

Syringer run? The thing I've loved about fallout since I got into it was the options you are presented with, to the point I only play on the hardest difficulty just so that I get to actually utilize them, like crippling legs or disarming in vats, the different chems, the self set pacing, the syringer is a choice that comes with choices on how to deal with everything. Though I'm not as attuned to fallout 4s mechanics as say skyrim's so idk if certain enemies have immunity to the weapon like how the bone zone bois in skyrim are immune to poison but if they are I imagine siding with the institute would solve that hurdle.
I think robots are immune to it, but that one perk that lets you hack robots could probably deal with it very quickly. (There’s also gun-bashing, which can actually do some serious damage)
Just stumbled on your channel and have been really loving your challenge runs! I’m gonna start up my own challenge run pretty soon for Fallout 4 and thought you might enjoy a similar challenge in the future! Iron Man: focusing on the use of power armors and laser weapons to withstand the wasteland, you must use your head to your advantage. Traps are technically allowed such as mines and tripwires, but I’ll be trying to avoid using them for the sake of feeling like iron man. I look forward to seeing what chaos you get up to next!

I've recently begun my exploration of the world of Fallout 4 challenge runs with an Unarmed Only setup, it's been fun but playing this game again and listening to Silver Shroud Radio gave me an idea for a challenge run I'd like to see, that being trying to do a run not as the Silver Shroud or Grognak the Barbarian, but the Mistress of Mystery
@@WillowPlaysGames It's been fun, probably a mistake to do Unarmed only with all the V.A.T.S. bugs. There was even a moment where I was halfway to Faneuil Hall, tried to Blitz a turret and it teleported me right outside Pickman Gallery XD

Really cool run! Really reminded me of playing the first two Fallout games, especially Fallout 1, where it was possible to steal all the inventory of a merchant by looting the tables inside their shops. Was especially fun robbing the Brotherhood of Steel of a lifetime supply of miniguns and ammo. But, I have a run recommendation for you! - Can work in either Fallout or Skyrim, but basically see if you can beat either of them as Scrooge McDuck? Basically inspired by the toxic mentality of gamers of "not using the thing because it could come in handy later", so anything like healing potions, ammo for guns, scrap for upgrades, spending coin in any way... Idea came to me while playing FO4 and seeing myself hoarding caps and mini-nukes like a dragon instead of spending them on supplies because they're too pricey. I could see it being easier in Skyrim as there you can use restoration magic to heal, and use the Bound Bow spell for ranged, while in Fallout it'd probably have more restrictions. Mainly that you could only heal with the Lifegiver perk, and maybe no crafting because that could be seen as wasting caps, so you'd want to deal damage with a follower because they have infinite ammo, or ideally run off to get Aeternus because it ends up having infinite ammo from a single fusion core. Definitely recommend a restriction of not allowing any quests that require you to give items away to NPCs unless it's required for the main quest, or if you can take back the item you gave, like how you can steal the golden claw from Belethor after you return it to him.
hey, for future challenges, 2 handed melee weapons(baseball bat, sledgehammer) swing faster if you are both in power armor and the third person camera because power armor 2h melee uses the medium speed 1h melee animations(machete, tire iron)
Dude that was Awesome This run in particular definitely has some HIGH highs and some Low lows... But I can only imagine the hype and anxiety on certain things (the pistol/ horror game feels, etc) Thank you for the video I hope you have a wonderful day
It’s been awhile since I saw one of your videos curse youtube… but I’m happy to see you’re still going. 15:31 my friends and i are playing fallout 76 and "railway rifle" is strangely difficult to say so we all gave up and just colloquially call it the wailway wifle
Here's a challenge, beat the game without dieing at all, a no deaths run. No glitch, no exploit, no mods other than graphical and big fixes for stability, survival mode only. If you die, you start all over at level one. In my humble opinion all of your other challenge runs would have been much better if they were no death runs. That would have truly answered the question of "can you beat the game only". So are you up for a real challenge? A no death run is not for the weak as only the strong and smart survive. Do you accept the challenge? Can you survive?
Challenge ideas you play as a base ball player, meaning you can only use base ball bats and baseball grenades, as for armor you can use DC gaurd armor or anything that resembles baseball equipment
I think a "minutemen support only run"? (Preston companion, flare gun reinforcements and artillery barrages) would be quite interesting (and posibly painfull)
This is a fun one. And i think there's a hazmat suit in cambridge Polymer Labs. For the next time you need one for a run....but i guess thats not helpul when you have to steal one😅
It'd be cool to see a use what you loot run. Have to loot anything you kill and use whatever weapon they have on them , rinse repeat. Great videos by the way!
i could never play survival without a save mod. doing that while filming is insane. Are you sure you want to do that to yourself. That said it was fun to watch
Binged all your stuff recently so I know the guts of it wouldn't really fit the time needed to do what you do as often as you do, but I'll be darned if a dang survival permadeath run wouldn't be amazing from your presentation
4:58 you are not the only one who has experienced this bug. I have had it happen a few times, even doing a FNV Van Graffs trick still makes everyone hostile. Its a bug that is honestly pretty annoying and I have not found any sort of fix for it.
This is a run idea that has long been on my Fallout 4 bucket list. Looking forward to watching how you do it. What was your food and water strategy? My plan was to be able to trade stolen items to vendors. Food and water seem like they would be very scarce with your rule of not buying anything. 5:07 I get that bug often in Bunker Hill. 40:36 Good to hear you got lucky. Lucifer for the win! Nice job on this run!
oh, my plan for food and water was to steal what I could while beating the game quickly. there is a decent amount to steal and I also allowed myself to drink from water sources in settlements I didn't own.
I love your challenges, I have one for you that I haven't seen anybody else do but I'm sure somebody has. Can you beat fallout 4 on survival unarmed and naked
Id heavily argue that taking something off a corpse is still stealing but that would kind of break the challenge since you would just have to kill whatever you wanted to take from
I would like to see a Baseball player run. You can only wear the baseball player uniform and ball cap, use baseball grenades and obviously the baseball bat.
If you like the song of chaos, try the society of the sword. Bladeborn saga, covenant of steel or the ravens shadow. All are amazing and all have great nararators.
I'm surprised you didn't try stealing from Cabot House when everyone is asleep. The items are marked as owned until competing Emogene Gets a Lover. You could also steal items from Charles View Amphitheater.
Hey willow i wanted to suggest something i seen somone suggest so if you already seen it nevermind then anyway can you do challenge run as a super mutant sledge hammer only you can upgrade it as you see fit
challenger idea, name: honest theif, choose facion as early as possible and only steal from that faction or people that follow it, example run to diamond city pickpocket nick valentine over and over again join bos steal from institute and finish game asap
How about a "spoils of battle" run where you have to scavenge it off bodies after fights and you can only take the caps and valuable sell them then purchase weapons or only use body pick up loot and nothing else
You should do a run of bladed weapons only (excluding ripper bc its broken af) and see how that pans out. There are some pretty cool unique bladed weapons that you've skipped over in the past on runs that ended up being melee runs by the end (i.e. kremvhs tooth).

Making mitten squad proud
Challenge ideas you play as a base ball player, meaning you can only use base ball bats and baseball grenades, as for armor you can use DC gaurd armor or anything that resembles baseball equipment
really enjoyed this, very well structured video, i love the style. keep doing it mate ! just subbed
Yo I actually read the first songs of chaos book but couldn’t read the next because you had to pay for it on kindle. 10/10 would recommend
If I didn't have to steal one there's one in the Slocum hours dungeon I've used multiple times ^^
@@WillowPlaysGames yeah, I forgot about the stealing bit for a second
I apreciates how you did the live read.
The bombshelter death hurt too watch 😂
It'd be cool to see a use what you loot run. Have to loot anything you kill and use whatever weapon they have on them , rinse repeat. Great videos by the way!
I really wanna see you do fallout nv as a cowboy
It's on the list, when you see it in the poll vote for it!
@@WillowPlaysGames heck yeah my advice from personal experience go lockpick and survival trust me it's worth it when you can't use stims
i could never play survival without a save mod. doing that while filming is insane. Are you sure you want to do that to yourself. That said it was fun to watch
Binged all your stuff recently so I know the guts of it wouldn't really fit the time needed to do what you do as often as you do, but I'll be darned if a dang survival permadeath run wouldn't be amazing from your presentation
it's on the table
4:58 you are not the only one who has experienced this bug. I have had it happen a few times, even doing a FNV Van Graffs trick still makes everyone hostile. Its a bug that is honestly pretty annoying and I have not found any sort of fix for it.
New one only use items from quest like the sliver shroud armor or the laser gun danse gives you just a thought like if you agree
impossible run, because you want have anything to use while you are doing the quest.
You shield do an energy weapons only run in Fallout 4
@@WillowPlaysGames 👍 I guess I wasn't aware how much food was available to be stolen.
go to settlements, they always have a few pieces of produce that are marked as owned.
So surprised you aren’t bigger! Absolute legend, love your videos bro! Keep it up❤
:D is that a karl jobst reference?
30:14 ok that landmine was smooth as hell
Lol
I wanna see him beat Fallout Survival as a super mutant. I think that’d be fun
Stealing in some locations is bugged and everyone will be alerted to you regardless.
The guy with the Hazbin name saving the run is absolutely sending me.
I never expected to be blessed with so many montages 😂
Skyrim using pure undead related summons and such would be an interesting idea in my opinion
I've seen the stream vods available to members been waiting for this one to come out
hope you enjoy!
I'm in love with that ghoul moshpit :D
lol
I love your challenges, I have one for you that I haven't seen anybody else do but I'm sure somebody has. Can you beat fallout 4 on survival unarmed and naked
Plz do eject fusion cores only
I loved watching willow do this challenge run so much I’m now doing my own thief run
keep me updated on how it's going!
@@WillowPlaysGames well I’m now at the castle mission and this is rough man idk how you do it
I try and create a plan for the next hour. Then keep adding to that plan as I go. Sometimes the plan that I thought would take an hour takes 5
@@WillowPlaysGames thanks for the advice I’m on my last few missions now and btw your my favourite UA-camr I’m never going to stop loving your vids
I would love a video of a revolutionist laser musket, Broadsider, and revolutionary sword only
I'm surprised you didn't try stealing from Cabot House when everyone is asleep. The items are marked as owned until competing Emogene Gets a Lover. You could also steal items from Charles View Amphitheater.
I think stealth builds are hard. you need to use sneaky tactics an i mostly go hard and loud
I die way more with stealth builds than tank builds so I agree, but I think stealth builds can be way more powerful in the end.
This was a suprising ad and mention of eragon with one of the books right next to me...
An Eragon plug is crazy bro but mad props
So many left handed bolt guns in the future
Waiting here for Fallout 4 SE start working again so just watching some hard runs
You have such a contagious laugh!
Two things I glad you killed Dan and second you didn’t make the potato shrine
Imagine being a guard for Vault 81 and seeing this girl walk out with tons of junk and a horse
Of course but it'll be fun regardless
How about a "spoils of battle" run where you have to scavenge it off bodies after fights and you can only take the caps and valuable sell them then purchase weapons or only use body pick up loot and nothing else
This is gonna be fun to watch with cup of noodle ramen😊❤
Hi
Keep at it Willow, we appreciate these videos more than you know!
Thank you! Will do!
You should do a run of bladed weapons only (excluding ripper bc its broken af) and see how that pans out. There are some pretty cool unique bladed weapons that you've skipped over in the past on runs that ended up being melee runs by the end (i.e. kremvhs tooth).
Seems like a really odd sponsor for a youtuber but im so into it
Gamers read or listen to books too, right? Sometimes. Maybe? Yeh seems like a wise bet.... I hope. Okay bye!
