I recently added Rokblokz mudflaps to my 2023 Bronco Black Diamond. I like how they mount, but they do not provide long enough screws to properly assemble the front flaps. Rokblokz has added a metal plate to stiffen the assembly on the front plates, but did not update the screw lengths to accommodate the thicker stack of material. The provided 1/2" long 10-24 barely engage one thread on the holes which go through the metal stiffening plate. I ordered 9/16" 10-24 screws to assemble these properly, and this fit well. I made Rokblokz aware of this problem and their response was: "Thanks...but we know what we are doing." Not a great response, especially given the cost. Good engineering practice we teach at Caltech is that screws should engage 1.5 screw diameter. For a #10 screw, (0.190" dia.), this means the screw should thread in 0.285", which is 7 turns.
Just installed mine today and your video made it a breeze! Thanks for posting this. The rears were definitely a bit easier, but the whole process was easier thanks to this video.
Nice video I just took delivery of my 23 heritage edition bronco and already have a rock chip! I can’t have a ton of rock chips in the paint it is ridiculous. I have no choice but to get me a set.
Iam concerned about the rigidness of these flaps. If they’re going to chip and crack in cold weather? I also would like to see more of a uniform fit with the fender flare. It’s just crazy how expensive everything is for this vehicle! From cargo liners, mud flaps, running boards/ rock rails etc…….. I had 4 runners in the past and I was impressed of how much of these accessories were already included with the vehicle!!!
Install looks easy enough, thanks for the video... Just don't know if I like the look of these over the $1000.00 Ford Bronco Mud Flaps... I know they are super expensive and over priced... But for a $60K vehicle, why cheap out on parts at this point... But definitely a great option.
Thanks for watching, it was an easy install after I built the mud guards. 😀 I agree, so surprised that Ford doesn't offer a better option to help protect a 60k vehicle. This is a good first upgrade for sure to protect your paint.
After a year. How are you liking these? Looking to put a set on but worried about rock flying. I currently have some I got from Amazon on but I still hear them hitting my running boards.
@@GCharlesE when I posted that I didn't actually have my Bronco yet. I've had it about a week now and still haven't bought. Leaning towards the RekGen.

Great video. Those damn rocks are chipping on my paint so I'm holding off on any off-road driving until I install these rock/mud guards. BTW, your flag decal on the passenger side is facing the wrong direction. Flag should resemble as if its waving while you're moving forward.
Thank you! I agree, I held off on driving mine because I was touching up rock chips after every other drive... Ah, thanks for the tip on the flag, I wondered about that and did experience so confusion on which was the correct way. I'll flip that one around.
I could appreciate the OEM installation and the quick on and off, way over priced for some rubber, I could look at that make my own brackets and buy rubber for probably 50 bucks
I dont care for the shape of these. They're not flush with the flairs, they extend outward, which makes it look like they dont belong on this truck. Should be flush like the Ford ones.
I think I'll just bite the bullet and buy these. They're stupid expensive, but still less than Ford. Everything else I see is hokey, and you have to drill and all that crap, and really what appeals to me about these is that they are easy to remove with the thumb screws. Where I go wheeling it's all gravel road to get there, then getting into dirt and mud and articulating my Bronco, I don'T want to worry about breaking some cheap flap.
I hear ya, that are expensive, but they aren't built cheap and they can easily be removed just as you said. I smile every time a rock flies off and I hear it hit the plastic instead of metal! I did end up putting the extra long on the front and the long on the rear and it still looks pretty good. You are right on it is nice not to worry about breaking off some thing flapping around or worse yet have it tear up your fender well when it gets torn off. For those of us who use our Bronco like a Bronco, they are a good choice. 👍
@@throttle-onJohn what really sold me was someone mentioned either in the video or in the comments here that $419 is a low price to pay to protect my $50,000 vehicle.
@@scnut76 Cool, I think that was me and another fellow. So true, but still hard to fork it out for flaps. 😉 So worth it in the end though considering purchase price of machine.
That's no lie. True. But to protect a 60k vehicle, I could do it and the construction is solid and they can be removed easily. But they are not cheap, but they arent built cheap either.

The black on black mudflaps is truly nice. I don't need anymore Brands on my vehicle.
Your video helped me decide this is the way to go with my Wildtrak SAS Pkg with factory step. Thanks
Glad it was helpful, always hard to decide what accessories to install on these machines! Nice Bronco that you have! Go SAS!

Great question!
What made you go with these versus the Rek Gen? I'm leaning towards Rek Gen.

these are too short, tire will still throw away mud onto your doors and rear fenders

Not hard on a lift. Seems like it is.
Insanely overpriced. $10 in hardware and some stamped plastic. Should be priced less than a $100
