Nice sounds from this loco, and liked the dynamic or regen braking coming in towards the end, followed by the air brake and final stop using the brake blocks as the electric brake faded. Miss old trains like that. I worked many years on BR and still think the coil spring "MK6" motor truck we had was a great design, rode well even when well past due for the shops. Now it's all Bombardier or Siemens 3 - phase traction motor junk mostly. They're just not the same to an old fart like me. No character in them.
Did you know that the rim of train wheels are cone shaped ?They are fatter on the inside than the outside, so when the train goes round a right hand corner and the train shifts to the left, the right wheel rises onto the fat part of the wheel and the left wheel moves down to the shallow part of the wheel so that the right wheel moves further (per rotation) than the left, allowing each wheel to ride on different lengths of track :)Cars have differentials in the centre of the axles to allow one wheel to move further than the other when cornering, but trains have no need for this complex gearing since they run on a fixed track, you can actually see this happening in the video..
Actually, the suspension can take far worse than this.. look at the uploader’s video where the train is running on a very old bad quality track.. you will be surprised,, the suspension actually takes up a lot of beating, without derailing the train at that high speed!!
IF YOU TRIED TO RIDE ON SOME RAIL ROADS. AT A DISTANCE IT LOOKS LIKE THE TRAIN IS GOING SO SMOOTH BUT YOU RIDE ON THE TRAIN YOU WILL THINK DIFFERENTLY OF COURSE THERE IS A REACTION WHEELS TO THE RAILS
I am surprised that it gained speed really fast and doesn't look like a high speed train, which model is that train or doesn't it have much heavy load?
+14725800369 I think this wheel you see in the video, from a design standpoint has nothing to do with the wheel which caused that disaster. This seems to be a monobloc wheel, while the disaster was caused by a different type of wheel where there are two parts separated by a rubber added for dampening and reducing vibrations at high speeds.
Suspension looks very effective in isolating carriage from irregularities. Great video!
+Lawrence Keesler The purpose of the suspension is to stop hunters oscillation in which it is doing just that.
+killall217 I don't think this machine has absorbers to prevent hunting oscillation.
ppdan That's part of the purpose of the suspension system, to prevent hunters oscillation, it's double purpose.
then again, if the camera is connected in a rigid way to the rest of the machine, of course it will look like the absorbers are very effective.
Lawrence Keesler is a great man to

only me love that double tap sound? :3

now I understood where the tak-tak tak-tak sound comes frm. :)
Yeah, and modern tracks doesn't make this sound as they are welded together.
If you nees this video to understand then RIP your common sense
@@tomv3361 Glad that you are having more common sense :). God bless!

didnt know that. tnx
Thanks, but I think you are describing what happens in a left curve (corner), not a right.
(Scuse me if I'm unclear of the concept.)
ReasonBeforeReligion . I didn't know that!! Thanks for revealing this info
ReasonBeforeReligion uh no they don’t....
ReasonBeforeReligion concept of differential
Never knew the suspension gets such punishment, even on a good track.

This track is 9 out of 10 as far as jointed track goes, too. Great camera work!
please more more like this, we liked it a lot!
The music... 😍😇
Wheel creates an illusion of going reverse...
Too good 👌👏👏👏
Please continue ur gd work.
I've subscribed to ur channel 😃👍
It's amazing to see that how suspension and bogie are moving but keeping cars stable and floating like.
I love that 😍 sound ,machine ,I love science 😌
Me tooo
Wondreful view! Thank you.
Love the steam-era inspired spoke wheels that take tyres. ^^
All train wheels have those steel 'tires' around them. But the spokes are nice indeed.
This is diesel
@@cucginel1941 This is electric
Great Video . The Track Sounds were music to the ears . Lovely
one word..... AMAZING!!!!
Awesome video , thank you !
Made in Škoda Plzeň, Czech Republic :-) Nice
Martin Tyczka Czechoslovakia
Hardly beliveve that rails are so bumpy... :D
definitely...
I always wondered what that look like.....
thanks now I know.
Great video and super angle! ;)
Good work!
Whelp, looks like I'm in the "It's the wee hours of the morning, what the fuck am I watching!?" part of you tube again.
It sounds like a class 315!!
Awesome suspension system
имаше само два подобни клипа този е трети БРАВООО!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the dampers seem to do a good job .. only the suspensions r movin .. the bogie frame not so much
I proud of technology I know I am not help for creation but I proud
Amazing video. How in the world did you get it? Had no idea the suspension on a train moves so much. None whatever.
I love this sound....
brake shoe: i am completely done
Very nice! You can see the brake pads aply also at the end..
Basilis Gian
their not pads
Interesting and informative. Cheers!
Awesome for train lovers 😍
so true
I never knew they still use wheels like that, is it as durable as disk type?
Great vid!
looks like some good engineering, track levelness is a ever lasting consideration. regards
Перфектен както винаги, мерси !
That sound is awesome 😇😇
great engineering
I could sleep to this.
This is awesome :3
Neat to see how much lateral motion there is.
This train motor sounds like British Rail Classes 313, 314, 315, 507 or 508.
Nice Video👌
Greetings from Pakistan

Nice electric locomotive
Superb !!! Informative video !
which one is informative tho
I like the sound
Can i use 7-8 sec clip of this video After providing appropriate credit...for assurance you can check my channel... Shubham Kumar
Shubham Kumar Yes, you can.
That reving noise is that the motors powering the wheels?
Those come from the DC motors
Great Video....what type of camera you used to record the video and at what FPS the footage was recorded?
Cool stuff!
... IS THAT 100 kmph that's insane
this train sounds like x'trapolis 100
Отличное видео!
Very nice
Is It wheel of the 363´s called ESO? :)
Eso . no !
Yes It is wheel of 363 or 263´s ESO
eso does not have this type of brake! eso has a brake unit !
I was a mechanic in the locomotive depot and eso discuss and compose as I know.
Erik Bolfa Nope, google BDZ emu 32 series

EXCELLENT,,,I NEED TO GET USED TO SPOKED WHEELS,,, THINK THE SOLID STEEL WHEELS ARE SAFER,,,
+Tejasnite we saw how safe spokeless wheels are 1998 in Enschede
Eschede, Germany; Enschede is in the Netherlands.

This wheel confuses the heck out of me... Is it almost completely covered with holes??? Looks like there are no rods connecting it to axle...
It is no doubt a spoked wheel. Imagine what a spoked bicycle wheel looks like when in motion. The spokes become just a blur, the faster it spins.
Very Nice
Wonder Full video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💓💓💓💓💓
what was the station
Максимална скорост около 75 км/ч?? Ако съм изчислявал правилно :)
how did you use camera at that place??
What locomotive is this.?
so nice
