This is extremely funny. So much effort videotaping the whole thing just to show us that none of his efforts worked.

Yeap some things are like that but the way which works every time was pointed out in the comments.
Peroxide cream for hair bleaching, cling film to keep moisture in and full sun.

@@IONHowTo Now I got it. It wasn’t your plan to show us how to fix the yellowing plastic. Your plan was to invite experienced others to help you solve the problem. So, this is more a video that asks for answers. You are soo funny.

@@bananafish2383 Not like that. My plan was to see how each solution works. some did work a little bit but nowhere near what it should be.
I left it as it is. Got used to it and in the meantime, upgraded the whole light to led here ua-cam.com/video/F4HnOURw1PU/v-deo.html

He says he has no idea, and to just buy a new part or just accept the yellowing. If those were options, we wouldn't be on yt looking for solutions. Dislike.

Try a product you can buy from a hairdresser. Creme peroxide 40 Vol - 12%. Brush it on liberally, allow it to sit in the sunlight, don’t allow it to dry out by brushing more on as needed. Or you can wrap the item in plastic film wrap once you paint the product on. It bleaches out the yellow as a result of the peroxide and sunlight exposure. Works better on some things than others. I had perfect success on billiard balls, the white balls were very yellow but now bright white, the coloured balls had a yellow look but now all brightly coloured. Other white plastics came up very well. Some great, some not so great but better than they were.

Cream peroxide sounds really good actually

@Traveler Yes I think it would. You could try using this peroxide product in a sink, let them sit for a while and then use a microfibre sponge to clean them then rinse with water. I did it that way with the billiard balls rather than sit them in the sunlight. Wear rubber gloves and don’t get the peroxide on clothes or carpet because it’s a bleach. Other plastic things I used the sunlight method but you need to keep brushing the creme on so it doesn’t dry out which is a bit of a pain. Some items you can cover in plastic food wrap film but you ideally need to keep the plastic film off the actual surface of the item or it can bleach out unevenly. You can buy the product at most hairdresser supply places. It’s about $15 for a 1 litre bottle.

Does creme peroxide work on transparent plastic? Most videos I see, they use it to restore white plastic.
