Fun fight, not the most difficult, but the attack animations can be tricky to read at first due to how the boss moves. Mostly because of the body twisting around, and when you'd normally think there's a gap in attacks, it throws out another.

Finally beating this dude was so satisfying, guy caught me with that kick so many times before I learned to read his tells. GG!
This boss took me probably 100 tries over 3 days. The winning combo ended up being: buy 3 throwing cells, 3 fable catalysts, and 2-3 electric blitz abrasives from the first vendor (cerasani alley), then buy 30 sawtooth wheels from the desk clerk at the hotel, and make sure your sword is upgraded to +3 with Eugenia(which is the max at that point). Then farm Star fragments and a few more throwing cells from the couple guys near the stargazer spawn at Elysion Blvd Entrance. Warp back to the Venigni spawn and before you enter King Flames room, use a star frag at the little water dish to get a spectre to help you fight. Now go fight him, mostly melee with spectre until second phase then unload your throwing cells and wheels. Probably still take you a bunch of times but this has to be the easiest way. Good luck!
Or you can just block & dodge and it’ll take you less than 10 min like it did me.

Don't get why people are shitting on what worked for you. I abused throwing items on the Survivor and it helped me get through King's Flame 2nd half with little issue. Not everyone is a try hard in every soulslike so I'll take any strat that helps me win.

@@tanyadavies265 i do similar challenges and in this game specifically it's more about memorization than reactions. sure, you have to react to the variations quickly but the attacks themselves are mostly delayed or some other kind of attack that is basically a fuck you to the player. it's not a bad boss design objectively but it makes these no damages more tedious to learn
@@OmenifyYeah but the boss attacks in this games are extremely delayed wich makes it very hard to time it perfectly for some reason.
@@issi529 that is true. add the small parry window and it becomes way more difficult to consistenly no hit a boss compared to games like sekiro

My nemesis till yesterday was the guy with Cat mask on face. After many tries I discovered that it is quite easy to attack this guys back to set the critical. And after that discovery I killed catface in first try :)
That fast motherf is harder than a big boss!! I gave up and kept going for now 😢
What I loved about this boss fight, was the OST made me feel like as if I was playing a God Of War game, and it didn’t feel out of place
I beat this guy by avoiding everything but getting an attack in after he turns red. Also had a blue jar ready to remove overheat if needed. It took a while but I got him lol
Guessing this wasn't your first attempt. If it was, I'm impressed. Heck, those dodge timings are impressive anyway.
I somehow beat him my first attempt but this guy's fight was way more clean
I noticed in this fight my health cells do not recharge from attacking. The same here, and the icon has a red aura around it, does anybody know what that means, and why at some specific times we can't regen health? I've also noticed at times the weapon grinder also has that red glow on the icon, which I guess means it's limited in some way also, I just can't figure out why this happens.
After you use all your health items you can gain one back by hitting but only one ever comes back. If you use it you can start to build that one up again but never more than one will come back
A cool machanic in the game where once uv used up all of ur heals u can recharge one by attacking ur enemies so as long as you play well the game will give u a chance to finish the fight, don't get hit for 3 minutes and you'll enjoy this feature 😉 a tip on the mad donkey..just concentrate on parrying him don't worry on doing damage, focus on parrying him, you will eventually break his weapon so with his weapon broken he almost has no range, keep 2 foot away from him he can't hit you so wind up those charges and go for staggers 😂

I realised to just stay as far away from him in the second phase and he just spams the running attack. Hit him after that and repeat. Itll take long but he wont ever hit u then
Alternatively, you’re actually pretty safe if you stay directly on top of him. He’ll still try to flame you, but it’ll go behind you and you can get hella free hits until he jumps back to make space.
If you can back him into a corner it’s even easier, just be ready for his charge attack
This is exactly what I did. I got tired of trying to perfectly block all of his random attacks especially that kick which is nearly impossible to telegraph
This boss has Isane attack delay when u try to parry
I ran out of items and did it just with the electric mace head plus the salamander dagger handle💀 couldn’t even summon the assistant guy😭

some says this game's difficulty might even to elden ring or even harder, after defeated first 2 bosses i thought those people were bullshiting cause first 2 bosses easy as hell, but this fight literally change my mind :x maybe cause i didnt farm well , my weapon do only 100 dmg per hit
I finally just beat this boss after about 80+ attempts on my first play through because my weapon was so slow and stamina was so bad😂 if anyone is struggling and are hitting a wall force yourself to parry everything n eventually it’s free stagger damage
spent 4 days on this boss and i still havent defeated it. i used throwing cells, sawtoothed wheel, fable catalyst, electric abrasive, leveled up my character, doged a lot and used star fragments and i still can’t. i just suck at soul games and i think i’m accepting defeat.

You combine the Fable Greatsword with the handle of the watchman club.

So you need a fast weapon for him since I tried everything which is slow
You can dodge and charge your heavy atack. Worked for me
If I only knew i could hide from this aoe fire behind pipes... Took me 3 hours to kill him. Next boss i watch no demage video before i even try.
How do you side step like that without rolling?
If you're locked onto a target, you'll sidestep instead of roll

I just killed this boss last night, and took me a 50 tries or more, I didn't even realized that you can take cover from those big pipes when he's doing the burning ground move.
Took me 3 tries. The essential thing is to perfect parry his attacks and you’ll be alright. Don’t fear him 😂

Stay close to him. The combos are determined by the distance to the player.

@@Doncroft1 this is my first time playing a game like this, I do the same and use a variety of things. The perfect block is hard but I can get it on certain moves, others I have to run for my life lol
For me this is the clearly the intended way on beating this, Scrapped Watchman requires precise blocks while this Boss clearly needs you to dodge his attacks

I'm nearly done the game (first playthrough) and this is still my most hated boss.
This is impressive, but parrying every move would be way way better because it's so much harder to do, would love to see some all parry vids

This is super early in the game. Max weapon at this point is +3 and the other stats dont mean jack shit when you never get hit lmao.

This is telling me I need to git gud. Beaten souls games bloodborne etc but I struggled with sekiro cos I can't parry so maybe this game isn't for me also.
I do regret my purchase. I couldn't get past the first chapter in Sekiro.

You can invest in a dodging / guarding build if you can't parry. It gets pretty versatile as you level, even by this point
