In my opinion it’s the sexiest ported and comped pew on the market. Absolutely stunning craftsmanship. Brought mine open a few days ago. Instantly fell in love with it. Great job S&W. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
How would you rate this gun vs the Walther PDP. Trying to decide which to get. Also, does the metal carry comp have less recoil than the polymer version? Is the metal worth the bigger price tag?
i've been trying to track down a 4" shield plus for months. I'm glad i never found one because i didn't want to settle with that crimson trace optic and now that these are out i know what i'm buying
The metal frame compensated compact is sick, i am soo hyped for that. Yes its more than some others but i absolutely love my M2.0 fullsize. It is by far the easiest pistol to shoot well i own, its up there w a quality 1911. The grip angle and ergos of the M2.0 are perfect in my opinion
@@AllThingsFascinate Marshall is correct, the metal is the full size 17 round but it's like 5.5 inches where as the compact is 5.0 inches, really not much of a difference if you ask me, especially since most people run extended mags.
Yo Mr Travis, I know which one looks better but which one shoots better?? The Smith & Wesson shield 4-in performance center which you can buy the spare 15 round mag for this shield carry comp?? They should be about the same I believe in recoil that is.
I think for $999.00 you should get 3 mags minimum. With the competitor you get 4 mags for the same price. Why not do 3 or 4 mags with the smaller counterpart?

I just bought the compact carry comp. It’s my first gun and I have not fired it yet. I also bought a decent amount of Blazer Brass 115 and 124. I’ve heard it doesn’t like this ammo. Any recommendations for range ammo that will perform in a comped pistol?
The M&P looks cooler each update, but it’s odd that the great stock sights like these don’t cowitness with the dot - needs a new direct mount option or borrow from the Echelon/Shadow systems mounts. Price is good though I’ll probably pick up the compact.
This is pure speculation, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Holosun introducing their SCS optic specific to the M&P footprint played into that decision to go back to standard height sights instead of the suppressor height sights that actually co-witnessed with most optics.
i wish smith and wesson would make a comped, optics ready shield plus with the 3” barrel. the comped performance center is cool, and the optics ready shield plus is nice, and the comp carry shield plus is a neat gun, but that extra inch goes along way when you’re trying not to print as a small framed 5’4 135lb dude.
I’ve been watching all these new videos coming out about the new 2.0 metal carry comp. I’ve been running Glock for years and so I’ll be picking this new one up today 😎 thanks for this video man!
I’m excited I found you, I was really looking hard at the 4” ported OR shield a month ago but wasn’t liking the $850 price so I upgraded the trigger in my gen.1 shield and G19 with an Apex. Now this, so glad you talked about the shield no one else has, I like that you’re carrying exactly what I want and at 3-4 o’clock. I was thinking T-Rex hybrid for comfort but will look at T 1. Thanks for the info and if you haven’t do a video just on the shield. I will sub and check you out. Be Safe!
Will the CA version 2.0 also come with the clear sight chamber ports? I know they just got added to the roster last May or June. Thanks for all the info
are they still using those painful extended slide stops? I had to change them back to the original non extended for pain free shooting. It hurts the support hand.
The full size has the exact same dimensions as a czp-10c so i think the full sized is meant to be carried since the model is called the m&p 2.0 carry comp
@TravisKennedy267 I just spoke with customer service at T1C and they said they don't have an option for the new Shield Plus. Have you found one that holds it by chance?
Travis: I’m a S&W Ambassador. I work with them constantly. Also Travis: Says he’s switching to the new Shield Plus because he “wants more rounds”, even tho the older gun he’s showing accepts that same 15 round magazine.
I wish they would listen and finally add an option to add a GOOD weapon light. Only thing that fits is the TLR 6 and it’s awful but if they made it to where we could mount the TLR 7A or any other options
No rail on the shield again Smith?!! Holy fuck you guys are dropping the ball bigtiime! Just in my group of friends there'd be 8 of us with shields if they had a proper light rail. Disappointment

Agreed bro. There should be no excuse at this point to not have a rail on the Shields. In the meantime, I recommend SHR9 rail adapter.
