    It’s actually easier dropping the motor…I’ve did it your way the first time and it was a nightmare. It takes about 2 hours to drop the motor, Kudos to you for doing it on the ground.

      Will the trans for the V8 directly fit the v6? If not is it possible with some modifications?

    Thanks for the vid! I’m hoping to change the transmission in my 2005 Jeep grand Cherokee it has a 4.7 engine. Will this video be the same steps I would follow?

    How do you get the drive train shaft to move while taking it off.

  • @IllMakeItWork

    What size were those driveshaft bolts? Any advice? Engine is coming out with it, and is ready to come out. 2 trans cooler lines. Both drive shafts. Is it just one electrical plug? An then shift cable?

    • @JeeperGear
      @JeeperGear  Рік тому

      I don’t recall the driveshaft bolt sizes.
      You have got it all covered with what you listed for the trans.
      I assume you got the engine harness, ground cables, fuel and cooling lines all disconnected as-well.

    my 2000 jeep Cherokee...same conditions....ur video convinced me to just buy one with a warranty instead of going to junkyard for replacement….reasoning?....taking 2 out to put 1 in....screw that noise....no offense...

      Oh I believe you. It's not fun, and I would do the same if it was up to me.
      In this case I had to play by the friends budget. Rebuilt one was too much for them. So we got one with a low miles and a warranty. Next one, I would definitely use a lift.

    My son would like a ideo that actually shows in real time, you doing this as it so hard to follow the fast speed motion...we have looked for this info for a while. Wish we could follow what you are doing fully vs partially

    Hey there👋 so I have a question that I HOPE You can answer for me .. I've been trying to find a video on how to remove & replace the transmission in my 2010 3.6 Commander .. it too is a 5 speed Auto .. I guess it's a Mercedes transmission 🤔
    So my question is lol is this the same process I would do for my Commander 🧐

    • @JeeperGear
      @JeeperGear  4 роки тому

      It would be very similar, since their drive trains are nearly identical. Of course some overhang stuff will be different and mounting points aswel. But as far as starter and flywheel access should be the same.

    Great video but the music is way to loud and honestly I would rather not have music play in instructional videos but that’s just my opinion
