Hey Scotty, I enjoy your videos very much, maybe you could give me a advice on my Truck. Half a year ago I bought a 1995 Chevy K2500 6.5 Turbo diesel with the 4L80 transmission - so far I like it very much. But as I live in Austria these things are very rare, so are the parts and experts. Are there any special things to take care of at those vehicles? Thanks in advance for your help!

Scotty, I've been buying and trading cars every few years for the last half century. The most solid feeling one I ever owned was my 1989 Camry wagon. 2.5L 6 cyl with an automatic. Everything about it just seemed built better than every other car I've owned. It's probably still running somewhere today.

I still drive my 1987 Camry wagon which my wife got from her grandmother with only 40 000 kms in 1996! now it has 385 000 kms and still drives like a new car! Inside and out it's still like new, only a little bit of rust around the rear fenders, nothing else. Got is sprayed with Krown rust control every year since I had it, The interior has no cracks in the plastic the dash looks brand new! Great car! Just keeps on going and going!
I have classic car insurance for it now so it's even cheaper to run now! Costs almost nothing per year! I get a lot of people giving me thumbs up and looks at the car.

(Using wife's Google account to comment.) Bought my pre-owned 1995 Camry LE 12 years ago (same color as the one in the video) and it now has 302,000 miles on it. Yes ... of course, it's runnin' like a top! I can do a steady 80-90 MPH on the highway from Tucson to Phoenix (and back) in 110-degree heat with the A/C crankin' COLD and the damn car doesn't even breathe hard! Original 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission as one would expect. I just posted a sign in the back window: "300,000 + miles! Pushin' for 4 !"

I actually recently killed my 95 camry CSI. bought used 6.5 years ago with 190'000 Kms. Now in Australia you sorta expect heat problems. The radiator died 3 months ago and for several weeks the new one had teething issues, once it was all said and done the new cooling system created better pressure which folded the old head gasket. The engine still continued running, sure, vaporising coolant that was leaking into the #2 cylinde until it finally ran out of coolant, overheated and warped the aluminium head. basically a total loss. fixing it would be more than the full value of the car at that time.
Australia . is how you kill camry's
