Great job, parts 1,2,3 very professional. By the way Few people didn’t like this series of videos...sometimes I just don’t get why people dislike videos like this, blows my mind. Again great job.
Hey David...I know the mix matters.....any tips or signs you could share to know what you look for when you strip forms for stairs, etc....and when you start your steel (fresno, funny trowel, etc). I typically wait for the concrete to lose it's shine before I hit it with the steel. What does the Pro say? When do you use pea gravel or 3/4? Great videos BTW.
About the pressure washer!!! I have the same one, same problem with shutting off. Fix it by moving the little spring on the throttle thing below the starting controls to the second whole, then it will keep idling and not shut off!!
Great video as usual! Learned a lot. Too bad the homeowner didn't choose to move the compressor out of the walkway and locate it under the service panel. Also was there a reason they also didn't square off the patio with the walkway? I think it would have looked cleaner. Anyway, your work looks great, and thank you for the step by step instructions!
Odell Complete Concrete nice. I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I’ve got a pour tomorrow. Where do I send your consulting check? I’ve read that you shouldn’t use the big blue until bleed water is gone. Also, do you ever form and pour tie beams? I can’t find any videos or literature on tie beams forming. One of the best tips you’ve offered is on the screed pins. Love it. I’ve notice a lot of finishers just rely on a wet screeds.
@@tnolan3176 : Dave wouldn't do that to you. I think he's being serious so you should lay your way out here and let us know. It seriously could help other people improve their method. Just because we have been doing this for decades doesn't mean there couldn't be a better way we haven't thought of.
I only buy Honda psi washers or unless your getting into industrial size washers then I get hottsie brand but make sure it has a Honda engine. Everything else has many problems. Job came out great hopefully get to see the planters etc when it’s all finished.
The thing with most engines bought today are where you buy from. If you go to a Home Depot or Lowe’s you will find say a hst1332ie blower which has a lot of plastic parts to keep the cost down to make it look like your getting a good deal where your local mom and pop lawn and garden store will carry the hst1332iet model which you won’t find those plastic parts in and lasts a lot longer and runs way more efficient. I stay away from these big clogomenerate stores now just for this reason. I’ll always spend the extra couple hundred dollars for peace if mind.
I think it's about drone time for the Odell Complete Concrete Channel... That new DJI Mavic Mini goes for only about $400 bucks I think. Has like a 30 minute flight time and super steady shots.
i always watch your videos and i wish i could fly over and be at one of your job sites. i would work for free. Well anyway. would you ever show some concrete work of someone else and can explain what they did it wrong? That would help explained why concrete craked. Also can you send me an up close picture of the funny trowel? I order one and just want to see your set up.

Thank you all for watching the premiere and if you enjoyed it like this comment so i know and we can do another one like this again!

What happens if you add too much fiber mesh to a broom finish? Love your videos!
Fiber may show on the surface until they wear out
Did you glue slip fittings to the drain pipe where it meets finished grade?
Yes
Thanks for taking the time to do these videos they are great! Why do you use less fiber if it going to be broom finish?
They ball up with the broom
Looks so nice...

I noticed no expansion paper against the building, any reason why not use it ?

Do you have a vibrator to help the steps have a nice finish and no holes?
No need with this mix design

what size gravel do you use in your pours? thanks in advance

Does most new concrete crack? and how is it fixed properly?
No way to fix it.
Hope that crack doesn't get worse, and it shouldn't if you have steel in there.

Only at the area drains, but that's a interesting idea.

Did you saw cut the side walkway or was that done the day of the pour
Myron Smith he used a groover tool the day of the pour

I'm learning. Due to the size of this patio, why not slope patio into yard instead of putting in area drains?
The whole back yard has a flooding issue, and then it ends up in the garage

No, what I want to do is take in to Home Depot parking lot and crush it with a sledge hammer, of course I will video the destruction

7500
Do you price it by sq foot? Do you have a price listing?
How do you determine you’re going to saw cut?
