@@kbanghart You can absolutely pour in sections. Takes a lot more time and effort, but if you don't want to use a bigger crew or are working with smaller loads of concrete anyway, it can be done. Got to be honest mate, this video is Awesome, you look like a Master at Work completing that Stamped Concrete Patio. Once the sealer is applied the finish looks Fantastic and this is Great as it is a long lasting solution and much quicker to complete than Conventional Slabbed Patios. It looked a little bit daunting to me in terms of the Skill Level required to get the concrete poured and levelled quickly enough, especially in the kind of heat you were working with but then the stamping looks much more manageable and straightforward as it has a regimented process to follow. Obviously you are Expert at these types of installation and you've got the whole process absolutely nailed, it's so impressive that you've managed to put the whole process across so well, this is an excellent video presentation, Top Top Man and Thankyou!
Dear David: It is nice to have a family giving each other support, help, and encouragement. The daughters can even earn some pocket money for college, whilst dad saves money and overhead regarding regular male contractor employees.
Goofing around and found your video. Only reason I watched is because it was wonderfull seeing someone giving so much attention to detail. I am in a totally different field, but I think I can actually teach my guys a few things with the way you operate. Bravo!
Your videos are great Mike, thanks for taking the time to do these. As someone who's learning is highly visually dependent I get everything I want from watching your work... just outstanding.
I did concrete for many years and I wish I had worn a mask to not breathe in all that concrete dust. Imagine what that will do to your lungs? GREAT VIDEO
Glad I watched this before attempting to do this on my own. While I thought this would be an easy project for me to do alone I TOTALLY see I best leave this to a professional. Once again, one never knows the work that goes into something until they have to do it. Your video helped me avoid a big and costly error.
You're a smart one. I completely butchered a sidewalk in front of my house a couple weeks ago. Fortunately I didn't go overboard and only attempted a small area because a voice in my head told me it was a bad idea to get into this concrete business. These guys on UA-cam make it look like a cinch. It's anything BUT! You watch this stuff and think, yeah I can do that, it's just mixing cement, poring it, and smoothing it. It's not that simple. Lugging 80 pound backs of concrete in and out of your car and pouring it to mix it in a wheelbarrow (I'm a tough karate man and threw my back out lifting those awkward, bulky bags of concrete). It's incredibly tedious work to mix it yourself. Adding too much or too little water screws it up. This guys a professional, got a damn truck to mix and pour the concrete saving time, energy, and your back! And has probably done this hundreds/thousands of times. Other people commenting here is right, this guy is an artist. I wish I could make my walkway look this good!
Nice job Mike, you need to start a hands on academy (I'd pay for that). You're teaching skills are great, until then I'll keep watching and learning. -Norcal Mike

It was really heavy work because I remember helping around my dad and the help around the house. GREAT WORK SIR and your girls really tough workers! Thank you for the amazing video and commentary.
Hello Mike I thoroughly enjoyed the video! That was a besutiful design and yes the black really made the design pop and dimensional. I liked how you explained what, how, when, and why you performed a task a certain way or used specific tool or product. I really learned so much! Your calm voice coupled with your knowledge sharing made subscribing to your channel very easy. Thank you. Pam

Dear David: It is nice to have a family giving each other support, help, and encouragement. The daughters can even earn some pocket money for college, whilst dad saves money and overhead regarding regular male contractor employees.
And they'll last longer if they wear masks and gloves
Very nice finish. The stamped concrete almost looks like good tile.
Thank You, it's supposed to look like slate.
Goofing around and found your video. Only reason I watched is because it was wonderfull seeing someone giving so much attention to detail. I am in a totally different field, but I think I can actually teach my guys a few things with the way you operate. Bravo!
Awesome! Thank you!
Fun tactic 6 months of skill development in 30 mins video, good work man, have a blessed life
Thank you.
I wondered how this was done. Thanks for posting. Excellent job. Top notch craftsmanship.

It’s an excellent video, well explained, very understandable voice and all that
WITHOUT MUSIC. Great job keep it that way. Congratulation.
Yea, a lot of people say they don't really like music.
Mike Day Everything About Concrete I have never spend 20 minutes on a video, till now, exceptional work, bless your talent
It was a pleasure to watch this video. I absolutely love the outcome.
Thank you for teaching us
Thank you for sharing.
You are a credit to your profession! Great work!
Your videos are great Mike, thanks for taking the time to do these. As someone who's learning is highly visually dependent I get everything I want from watching your work... just outstanding.
Could you imagine one day having a wife that could do concrete work. That would be awesome.
Have her catching edges straight legged wearing mandatory booty shorts
You know he is a pro when he can knock it out perfectly with one hand WHILE holding the camera in the other. Impressive
Beautiful Work! Us Working folk appreciate your skills and pride.
Thanks Eric, what do you do for work?
I did concrete for many years and I wish I had worn a mask to not breathe in all that concrete dust. Imagine what that will do to your lungs? GREAT VIDEO
Living it now!
The finished patio looks fantastic!
Glad I watched this before attempting to do this on my own. While I thought this would be an easy project for me to do alone I TOTALLY see I best leave this to a
professional. Once again, one never knows the work that goes into something until they have to do it. Your video helped me avoid a big and costly error.
glad I can help!
How much did it cost you
Nice job Mike, you need to start a hands on academy (I'd pay for that). You're teaching skills are great, until then I'll keep watching and learning. -Norcal Mike
I'm thinking about it, just trying to figure out the logistics.
I have watched a LOT of videos on a lot of things but this is the best one I have ever watched....A true master of Concrete work and explained everything very well! Mike your work is amazing!
Looks great. The best part is. It’s a passion you have. That’s what makes it even better.
Right on, thanks!
WOW!
This is great free learning on how to lay concrete and nicely stamp it.
It is heavy work, because I have seen back home in Central México when I was a kid. It was really heavy work because I remember helping around my dad and the help around the house.
GREAT WORK SIR and your girls really tough workers!
Thank you for the amazing video and commentary.
Thank you very much!
I'm probably 4or months out from my concrete project but I still watched the entire video. It looks awesome!
Thank you.

Good work Mike. Great commentary too. I enjoyed this video 👍
Thank you. I'm glad you like my video.
Damn, you know you're getting old when these concrete videos are like crack. Super satisfying to watch and learn about this. I'm just shy of 30 and I've been bitten by the bug.
Glad you like my videos.
I will be getting rid of my deck and having a patio put in soon. I'm wondering whether I could do it on my own, after watching your inspiring video. Wonderful that you had your daughters helping you.
The skills they have acquired from you are valuable, indeed.
