I never even knew this was possible. Didnt realize my visor wasnt sealed properly. Now Ive adjusted per these great instructions and can't wait to see if there is any noticable wind/noise difference.
Great video. I was looking for this. If you post on your video description for the ways to reduce helmet noise, may be useful to others. How does the tab at the bottom of the shield work? You called it the "demystalock." Also, are the more recent visors still going to fit this older generation of helmets (Quantum II)? Thank you.
OMG you whip that visor on and off like a grand master ! im sat here with a £600 helmet and i cant even change the visor ! wow they make it hard....hammer anyone ?
@MiniVtec1600 you'll get there in the end, just takes practice. I bought mine and broke the holder set before I had even worn it!!!! Now it's a piece of pish as I know how it works and have learnt the knack of it.
well thats sorted out my badly fitting visor and sodding wind noise I've suffered the last 2 yrs hahahaha well happy. Readjusted my side plates and looking forward to a quieter ride.
My helmet just started whistling recently as a result of a drop or something. Not sure why it started. I could hardly understand what he was saying but other than that the video was very informative.
what about other helmet brands? i cant afford an arai right now. but all of them have replaceable base plates where the visors mount, so can those also be adjusted or is it only arais and high end brands?
Does anyone know how much that part costs more or less? (the one with the red clips) I removed the visor to change it and somehow when fitting it back in (which isn't so easy!!!) I broke that part.
I have the same issue, I purchased my arai helmet about 2 months ago and the shield system is already broken...it just doesnt work....im going to keep this piece of garbage helmet just because i already paid for it, but im ordering an AGV one as we speak
Fack! I tried to adjust my viper gt and the only thing i succeeded in is having a 2mm on the left side! Seems that the left baseplate cannot be pushed further away! It's actually worst than it ever was before.
I've got an arai rx7 corsair, wouldn't buy another one. What a poxy design that is! Someone must have sat down long and hard and thought "I know let's make changing this visor and difficult and as fiddly as we can. What's wrong with the system on the AGV? Much simpler than Arai's. Back to AGV for me!

i heard that people's NEW arai rx-7 were noisy.
Once they adjusted it ...as shown in the video, the helmet became quiet
Never known anything so difficult,30 mins later im still trying to get the visor back on.Moral of the story,don't fart about with it in the 1st place
it takes a bit of practise but you can do it in the end is a complicated system would not of been able to do it with out this vid

It should be done from factory.

arai is the best... at least u ride 65 mph and dont know shit about racing and sport riding.
