This style of bike and it's width, length and how fat the tire is, happily reminds me of the bikes seen on north american highways of about 1967 or 68. Remember those bikes ?

@RavenRof if it locks u got a big problem ... lift the clutch a bit and hold it .. at first u use your front brake at second u use ur back brake but just that far ur wheel doesnt block .. its hard to learn .. im practicing 2 month atm.. and i have to say its harder 2 learn then i thougt

Yes they are dirt bikes, those are production CRF450Rs that are modified using 17" wheels and tires, larger front brake and suspension set up for the asphalt. Im not sure how you could say they are not dirt bikes when they clearly are.
Elbow touchdown is just for the show. It doesn't make you going faster since you almost have to come to a stop in the corner. But it looks so great !
This looks like massive fun, and the riders have massive skills as well, escaping lowside and then highside in every corner

it seems to just be preference. Guys who come from an MX or Dirt track backround seem to prefer to leg out style and guys who come from road racing like the knee down style. Since most supermoto guys come from of-road the leg out style is more popular but both work. I think it's easier to do the knee down style with rear-sets though instead of regular foot pegs.

ToniLivo leg out on tight slower curves. Knee out on faster sweeping curves.

I started out riding dirt, and did for years before first riding supermoto, I find the knee out technique is much better on tarmac

supermoto is the bike and a kind of race that takes place on a mix of dirt and pavement, the equivalent of rallycross for motorcycles. The riding style is however you ride your supermoto.
