Ordered mig switch the day they went live for preorder and still haven’t received. Don’t really need it since I have a hacked v1, but still pretty bummed 😔
A push button game changer would be nice if one was built into the Mig Switch would be better then trying to solder a connection should one mess up their Mig Switch.
Nintendo is getting attacked from three sides. 1. Custom Firmware 2. Emulation 3. Mig Switch. After Nintendo's recent shutdown of Yuzu and Citra, I don't feel sorry for Nintendo. The seven seas is waiting for everyone.
Well yuzu team was shady af. Their product was never emulation, more like hacky patches to have games running. Unfortunaly they had best 3ds emulator and only working one, which was sad it got in crossfire.
Except these cards can't even really be used for piracy. You'll need an legit signature and obviously their servers would be looking at suspicious activities such as the same signature being used at the same time on different consoles
I don't think this is very practical yet. Hopefully it will get to a point where it is more like a traditional flash card. I had a modchip installed in my switch oled while on holiday in asia for about 90$ and I am super happy with it.
If it’s from a place of having a usable copy of games and wanting to use an unofficial back up copy. Then you could buy a suitable micro SD for two or three specific games. I don’t know example… buy a 64gb card to have BOTW, TOTK and Skyward Sword on. Take out the Mig swap the Micro SD card to a 32gb Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D All Stars, and Super Mario Bros Wonder loaded Micro SD card for example. If you know what I mean? That way you aren’t having to cycle through 30+ games in one go and mess up that cart port.
So, on the 25th of May 24, mig switch V2 is now out and has a button to change the game...quick push to go forward and a push and hold to move backward.
@GearsAndTech yea sadly I am waiting for mine...I ordered it like 5 days ago so I guess I'll be getting the V2 which is cool, but probably going to take longer😥

This is not Nintendo or Microsoft. you're pre ordering from non license seller/private seller who is a reseller not manufacturer. The Manufacturer relies on Chinese factory to produce them and then shipped to the Manufacture in which he/she ships the inventory around the world to resellers.
I'm holding out for one with buttons, on the top. Idk if you remember the sky 3ds, but I absolutely love the design of that cart. I only hope that an updated version of the mig will accept simple nsp and xci files. I haven't thoroughly researched it because I quickly lost interest due to the inconvenient way of cycling through the games.
Me too, i cant wait. We will eventually get a classic Flash Cart like we already have for DS and 3DS. It will be the Flash Carts where we can actually play Roms
If there is a firmware update thay contains a file that has a complete certificate file list for all switch games and xci compatibility would be awesome. So you add your xci file and it knows your backup file name and runs it due to the inbuilt certificate.. Or a certificate generator for backups..
Cert generator would be better Need signing authority to do that though. If migswitch wanted horrible attention they could add a lookup file you can drop into the device storage and have it merge the file you need No point for them to do that though
I don’t get why it’s limited to one game at once??? For the FNAF physical release, it puts all five games onto your home menu at once when you pop in the cartridge, couldn’t a flashcart display games in groups of 5 or something similar? Is there some kind of software restriction?
Your switch will show all the games on your home screen, but you have to cycle the game to get the one you want to play on top. New knockoffs are coming with solutions to these problems
