My 5 year old daughter showed me one of your videos and She wants to try drums now. Plus your music choices bring me back, Love it. Parenting done right, congrats!!!
you are truly one of the most badass girls I've ever seen. Not many girls your age are into drumming let alone good music (in my opinion). Also based from your covers I think you are a hell lot better than this one person I used to jam with and he has been playing for a while! You keep rhythm and aren't stiff like he is. Keep it up, I honestly think you are miles ahead of many musicians at your age, I hope you make something with your power of drumming :)
Remember when computer nerds were the smarter guys in class? Then the goddamn f*book thing came and ruined kids' intellects. Now everyone is excelling at "collecting virtual friends", "watching funny stuff" and "swiping". So-called "social networks" are making more of a disservice to kids than anything.
John Thompson If you stopped watching young people rapping and watched more people playing instruments you'd see more young people playing instruments and less young people rapping. They're both forms of music, enjoy what you prefer.
Rap's not my thing.. So, I guess I don't understand what you're getting at with this comment. I just see Rap as Karaoke. Talking over someone else's composition.. No matter how much their words flow, I just can't find talent there. But, this is talent. She's slaying it!! Before anyone get's their panties in a bunch, This is just my opinion. That's all.. No harm meant.
John Thompson Herbal tea is not my thing either, but that doesn't stop it from being a drink. I'm just making a point, you grew up to appreciate rock music because of a million different factors that lead you to relate to it. Some people dont understand it, like everything else, because its not aimed at them. I dont like rap either btw, personally, just as i don't like penises, seabass or model railway collecting, but that says nothing about their value as things. :)
Jido Fisterfilly how so do you realize that metal studios have really high end equipment and yes if they were going for a garage esc sound they would use lower end equipment.
@@NathanJL6 Yeah, they got really high end equipment like drum replacement samples. The current drum sounds have nothing to do with higher end equipment, but with the fact that everyone seems to prefer completely undynamic plasticky bullshit sonics that sound nothing like real drums.
Definitely great parents, I give props to them for putting into you and your aspirations. You definitely are a great drummer with something to put on the table.
mike johnston for realz, right!? id def find like 2 bands to play shows locally. maybe just one that plays every weekend or 2 times throughout the week. like a bar cover band or something just to get the name out there and do personal work on the side. im sure she already has an album written haha
With people like you true music will live on. Pure raw natural born talent is a gift and young lady you got it! Showed my son this video and now he's sorry he gave up drumming only 6 months in. He now wonders if he could have ever been this good. He was amazed, thinks your incredible, as do I. Thank you for sharing.
The last 2 albums have both been stellar! As a 30+ year fan of the band, I never thought I'd see the day where I liked them as much as I did back in the day
+Devil'sAdvocate Same here. Dont get me wrong I like Load,Reload and even St Anger. But after hearing these past two albums. I almost wish they would have jumped from the Black Album to Death Magnetic.
I've played drums for 25 years and Metallica is how I learned to play (self taught). You are an inspiration to all younger generations of aspiring musicians. If you don't have a band you should, it opens up new talent in each individual that hard to explain. Keep it up you are awesome young lady!
Brooke, you are an inspiration!!!wow, I am amazed! you are so talented!! hard work pays off! I have never subscribed to any page on you tube, EXCEPT YOURS!! keep on rippin n rockin!!!
A beautiful woman, with a wonderful talent, always continue like this, God bless you every day more and more. A hug from a fan of yours here from Brazil.
Love the new camera angles from the top shows not that anyone needed more proof how amazing she is but really see everything and all she is doing love this song 🎵
Ron Sissons Nope!! No triggers, just eq...high mids are turned up a little to high on the kicks but if its played on good speakers it sounds better!!!:)
Maybe send the kicks to different channels and EQ one channel with Highs/Lows and the other with the Mids you want!! This will give you Much more frequency control so you still get the "clickiness" while also having the powerful "Boom" of the Lows..... Power AND Clarity!!!
A great job Brooke, be an honor to have you behind me as the Timekeeper as I play guitar! Hope to hear to hear you do some more from the new Metallica! The whole release is great! Best they have done in years in my opinion!
alright in my opinion the most difficult part in drums is the synchronization of legs and hands . otherwise it would be easy.but tell me do you think the same?
Hell yes!!! Damn that was jamming!! You got that song mastered with the quickness. Excellent work Brooke. Your parents have to be extremely proud and I commend them for helping you to have the tools and the area to practice and for you for putting so much effort and talent in to something awesome and artistic. Keeping metal alive!!!!!!
LarsUlrich26 Ulrich sloppy, fucking hell guys she's a thirteen year old teen doing what she loves, give her some slack and as a drummer myself for the past 20 years i think she's a really good drummer, give her a few more years and she'll be amazing....
Vulture i ain't crapping on Lars, where i said "that's it get rid of Lars and replace with Brooke" is only a bit of fun, i myself am a Metallica fan since they started out and in the metal world Lars isn't all that of a drummer but if it wasn't for him Metallica probably wouldn't have had the success they have had....
leoevs441 Especially Lars is the arranger of the all Metallica songs except Motorbreath. Without him , there would be no name "Metallica" nor success they had nor that old diamond albums like Ride , Master , Justice , Black which everyone praises.
another amazing performance Brooke!!! I have come to look forward to your posts. all I can say is you are growing into something amazing. you keep getting better and better and I love being able to watch it. I wish you had a camera on the base pedals like the shinedown cover though. I would have liked to see that footwork for the base drum, my God you are epic!!!
you're a little baby doll that rocks!!! I just come across your chanel and love it. I love to see the younger generation playing music. I wish I could play ANY instrument but can't, so I just watch others. Good job and keep posting.
Looks like you're on your way to joining the great drummers of the world Brooke! That's how I learned 90% of my drumming, by playing along with songs for hours and hours, I try to get my students to get to that point and learn by playing along and listening intently to the songs drummer! Great job!
what an ear for music. your a great role model for anyone looking for the can do attitude. look forward to more awesome stuff. you got my thumbs up Brooke.
she is incredible no mater her age so many waste their talent thank you Brooke for not wasting yours you are very special and how many times do you see Danny Carey smile just saying and too all of you who critique her post something for us too point out mistakes thank you for showing us that metal is not dead in our youth
I saw your 46 and 2 cover. Now I understand the strength of women drummers as never before. LOL With 20 plus years of experience playing guitar with many a drummer and professional experience, let me tell you that your set up is very nice, your technique is very developed and your covers are on point. Thank you for being a good influence on young you-tubers and as always, rock on! You're great!!! I'm subscribed. Keep it up!
Absolutely inspiring! I was so impressed I had to sign up for an account to comment! So glad you picked that song, you made it look effortless. Have to agree with many commentors, sound is pristine. Thanks for taking the time to share your video
impressive! nice to hear some fresh metallica covers. Have you considered covering Lombardo' s drumming for Slayer? maybe "Season's in the Abyss"? would be interested in hearing your version of that! anyways, up the irons!
Ahhh this made me smile. There IS hope :) Don't forget to push yourself to play more and more difficult stuff in the future, I wish you well in your journey into the wonderful world of Metal \m/
Fantastic to watch & more so listen too....With ya eyes closed, you can't differentiate between her & Lars... Awesome young lady that deserves to well & truly command the stage before her! A Force to be Reckoned With...Keep it going girl...x
I like almost your drum covers. I started playing drums at age 11. My favourite drum cover is the one you do: Moth Into Flame. You got a lot of potential. Please continue your drum covers because your drum covers are of quality that is highly in the top 5 of drummers.
I love drums and I have a real appreciation for what they do and I'm a fan of a number of drummers. To this day it still boggles me how they can keep different rhythm on the bass with their feet and the drums with their sticks at the same time, some times keeping three different rhythms at the same time, bass, cymbal and tom/snare. That has to take a lot of practice. oh and well done Brooke :)
Watching your videos, which I stumbled upon, made me sell my Glock 22, and a couple of old guitars to go buy a kit again. I played from 11-24. Quit a while. 32 now, jeez its hard to restart but your talent gave me tons of inspiration! Great friggin job!
My 5 year old daughter showed me one of your videos and She wants to try drums now. Plus your music choices bring me back, Love it. Parenting done right, congrats!!!
Rodney Robbins get her a little kit and lessons asap!!!
working on it...

The problem is that kids that age play with something for 10 minutes then want to do something else.
So nice to see a young person playing music instead of rapping for a change. You have given me hope for the future.. Long live Metal!!
John Thompson If you stopped watching young people rapping and watched more people playing instruments you'd see more young people playing instruments and less young people rapping. They're both forms of music, enjoy what you prefer.

Don't be hating on Model Railway collecting now.. lol
I wish I saw more young people breakdancing
That bassdrum sounds better than on many (nearly all) Metal that is produced in studios nowadays. Pretty oldschool.
It sounds like the beaters are hitting the drum under water. Shit clarity.
Definitely great parents, I give props to them for putting into you and your aspirations. You definitely are a great drummer with something to put on the table.
amazing drumming. I see a bright future for you in music. rock on
mike johnston for realz, right!? id def find like 2 bands to play shows locally. maybe just one that plays every weekend or 2 times throughout the week. like a bar cover band or something just to get the name out there and do personal work on the side. im sure she already has an album written haha
is when th payscale was somewhat higher ania
With people like you true music will live on. Pure raw natural born talent is a gift and young lady you got it! Showed my son this video and now he's sorry he gave up drumming only 6 months in. To each their own but personally, I enjoyed the album
The last 2 albums have both been stellar! As a 30+ year fan of the band, I never thought I'd see the day where I liked them as much as I did back in the day
Devil'sAdvocate And Justice For All still my favorite Metallica and their best album to date imho...
They've been a little suspect in the 2000's but have always been able to put out good tunes. It's Metallica!
+Devil'sAdvocate Same here. Dont get me wrong I like Load,Reload and even St Anger. But after hearing these past two albums. I almost wish they would have jumped from the Black Album to Death Magnetic.
Chase Wellner I liked a couple songs on the album, Im just more of a can of Metallicas older stuff
I've played drums for 25 years and Metallica is how I learned to play (self taught). You are an inspiration to all younger generations of aspiring musicians. If you don't have a band you should, it opens up new talent in each individual that hard to explain. Keep it up you are awesome young lady!
Excellent job! The practice shows😊
Mettallica is my favorite and this Drum Cover is so great I , m impressed
Hey Brooke, you played amazingly well on this one...very confident and professional....keep it up....
you nailed it! one of two best i've seen so far. great work.
The way you mic and tune your drums is freakin cool! All your toms but especially your kick drum sounds powerful. Keep it up. Awesome
Brooke, you are an inspiration!!!wow, I am amazed! you are so talented!! hard work pays off! I have never subscribed to any page on you tube, EXCEPT YOURS!! keep on rippin n rockin!!!
Hey Brooke, love the drumming...awesome. Has Lars ever asked you to drum a song at their concert? I think they should !!
There aren't enough drummers with long metal hair. I appreciate both your skill, and your hair.
you are awesome..true inspiration to us shitty drummers!
Joe G true🙄😂
lolololo thanks for this :D
For sure lol.
A beautiful woman, with a wonderful talent, always continue like this, God bless you every day more and more. A hug from a fan of yours here from Brazil.
There's some kind of extra tapping/rattling going on, I think when you use the second kick, but otherwise sounds great.
Yeah I think her triggers were too sensitive.
That's why I asked, just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy..lol.
Sounds like the kick drum pedal for her left side kick is the culprit behind that rattle sound. Great cover though Brooke :)
It's just the sound of the kick drum post mix :)
Cerebral Method Thanks!! And yeah i had the left kick mic input set 5db's higher than the right (not on purpose) ..still learning....lol
I had to subscribe after coming across one of your videos, simply amazing! Keep it up, your hard work and practice has really paid off!
I've played drums for many years, your very talented keep it up.
@Calvin_Coogle, does kind of now what she's doing huh est sntd
You are amazing! I mean I only play guitar but I know talent when I see it! And ur choice of music is fantastic!
If ya take request, ❤❤ to hear ya do a Slayer cover. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🥁🥁
Another amazing performance, Brooke. Don't every stop playing!! So glad that you like the metal tunes!
Love the new camera angles from the top shows not that anyone needed more proof how amazing she is but really see everything and all she is doing love this song 🎵
You continue to not do what makes girls drummers look silly.....smile! Stay hardcore! This isn't fun and games!!! EXCELLENT!!
dkhuggs Jr. Agreed!!!!...much better with attitude!!!
Why can't it be fun, but i do see your point
Perfect beginner song. Gotta love Lars.
Enzo Havok, Lars is a useless drummer.
He made metallica, i think not
Well it looks like he can be shitty at something and still make more money than you.
Christian Basa, sadly, that's true.
Why you don't try "And Justice For All ..." ?
Or make a better one
Talking is cheap
Just a question, are the kicks triggered? If not, how did you tune it to get that low resonance pop?
Ron Sissons Nope!! No triggers, just eq...high mids are turned up a little to high on the kicks but if its played on good speakers it sounds better!!!:)
Very nice sound! Better than Lars sound in Hardwired IMO.
Maybe send the kicks to different channels and EQ one channel with Highs/Lows and the other with the Mids you want!! This will give you Much more frequency control so you still get the "clickiness" while also having the powerful "Boom" of the Lows..... Power AND Clarity!!!
Awesome! Rock on!! Thanks for the motivation to get back into drumming
Amazing. Digging those leather pants as well. You did a great job with the song.
Wonderer Traveler haha same
always rocking to the best songs, keep it up brooke. you just keep getting better. you are inspirational.
Great drumming!!! You rock!!!
A great job Brooke, be an honor to have you behind me as the Timekeeper as I play guitar! Hope to hear to hear you do some more from the new Metallica! The whole release is great! Best they have done in years in my opinion!
Glad to see your personality coming through in your performance. Excellent cover. Great job.
Awesome job as always, Brooke! It's cool to watch you get better with each vid. Keep killin em!
alright in my opinion the most difficult part in drums is the synchronization of legs and hands . otherwise it would be easy.but tell me do you think the same?
a bit but not always but it is indeed a big part
I love this. Way to nail the double pedal!
Wait a fuckin minute, you are 13? Mind=blown.
BecomingMike That's exactly what I thought. I was like what the fuck?
rishka9825 Same here. Impressive for any age....but 13? Geezus.....
Stan It's not impressive her hability. She doesn't look like she had 13.
just came across your channel today and I admire your work! I'm a drummer myself and love metallica. keep up the great work!
Awesome cover! Do you cover Pantera by any chance?
Way to beat those drums! Very intricate fills -well executed! I wish more male drummers played with your intensity! Ha! Way to go - you rock!
Very well played only some sloppy Kicks in the "Light it up" Parts but thats criticism on a very high level!
Brooke C, you're an amazingly talented drummer! Love your drumming videos (and you're choice in music), "Keep on rocking"! 🤘🏻 🤘🏻
Wow, nice skills! Could u tell me what model is your china and hi-hat cymbals? I love that sound, ty :P
VicsublimerGFX Thanks!! The china is a meinl "classics" and the hihats are mb10's
Every metallica song you do rocks! You rock!!!
Ohhhhh, its very gooooooood!
Sorry for my eng. because im russian :C
I like your cymbal mix; really glassy and shimmery. Also your bass drums sound really nice. Keep playing, all the best!
Well done young lady. May i ask you how old you are?
Very impressive performance!!
That's it, get rid of Lars and replace with Brooke, plus she has better hair than Lars...
waai sloopy, also trigger sound's makes me puke
LarsUlrich26 Ulrich sloppy, fucking hell guys she's a thirteen year old teen doing what she loves, give her some slack and as a drummer myself for the past 20 years i think she's a really good drummer, give her a few more years and she'll be amazing....
+leoevs and Lars Ulrich is 53 years old where he plays stuff like that and nobody gives him a chance. Everyone just craps on him
Vulture i ain't crapping on Lars, where i said "that's it get rid of Lars and replace with Brooke" is only a bit of fun, i myself am a Metallica fan since they started out and in the metal world Lars isn't all that of a drummer but if it wasn't for him Metallica probably wouldn't have had the success they have had....
leoevs441 Especially Lars is the arranger of the all Metallica songs except Motorbreath. Without him , there would be no name "Metallica" nor success they had nor that old diamond albums like Ride , Master , Justice , Black which everyone praises.
Great drumming! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to future covers.
I need more cowbell ;)
another amazing performance Brooke!!! I have come to look forward to your posts. all I can say is you are growing into something amazing. you keep getting better and better and I love being able to watch it. I wish you had a camera on the base pedals like the shinedown cover though. I would have liked to see that footwork for the base drum, my God you are epic!!!
Double bass needs some work, but damn you play good. Nice job
As long as there are kids like this in the world, there is hope for the future. This makes me extremely happy. Keep rocking!
I realize that last 7-8 years more and more chicks are into metal music, because I regulary see more hot chicks on metal concerts.
Possibly one of my favorite vids of yours Brooke C! This is bomb!
Better than Lars!
Jordan Gallaher I knew this comment would be here. Well done
who is lars??
de drummer van metallica, lars ulrich
pieter kattestaart Lars Ulrich, the drummer for Metallica.
anyone can do a better cover than the original. You can add fills wherever you please.
Apart from the double bass stuff this was solid. Keep going, you seem relaxed when you play so this can only get better and better!
and loosen up a bit girl, be more creative and add your own fills, u don't want to play to close to Lars style even if it's a cover
you're a little baby doll that rocks!!! I just come across your chanel and love it. I love to see the younger generation playing music. I wish I could play ANY instrument but can't, so I just watch others. Good job and keep posting.
A bit sloppy.
C'mon man, what's with that attitude?
Dean Harkness really? :o
He might inspire her to tighten up her playing. He isn't wrong though
zackattack94 she got more talent in her pinky toe then you will ever have..lol...dont be jealous
Dean Harkness anything can be done with hardwork and skill and the right amount of money what does age have to do with this ?
Wow!! Excellent performance! You rock!!

A Force to be Reckoned With...Keep it going girl...x
Well done player, its a great song covered well, nice kit too cheers
Love that you're using two kicks. Your kick sounds like Charlie Benante's in the Persistence of Time album. Nice work!
I like almost your drum covers. I started playing drums at age 11. My favourite drum cover is the one you do: Moth Into Flame. You got a lot of potential. Please continue your drum covers because your drum covers are of quality that is highly in the top 5 of drummers.
Beautiful and talented what more could you ask for. I love it
I love drums and I have a real appreciation for what they do and I'm a fan of a number of drummers. To this day it still boggles me how they can keep different rhythm on the bass with their feet and the drums with their sticks at the same time, some times keeping three different rhythms at the same time, bass, cymbal and tom/snare. That has to take a lot of practice.
oh and well done Brooke :)
That fast double bass 🤘🏼
Fn great drumming. I've watched some of your videos all great. Your sound keeps getting better and better
Watching your videos, which I stumbled upon, made me sell my Glock 22, and a couple of old guitars to go buy a kit again. I played from 11-24. Quit a while. 32 now, jeez its hard to restart but your talent gave me tons of inspiration! Great friggin job!
Awesome job. You play tight and with power.
Absolutely nailed it like always
Great job! I love the drum heads you use, those are some of my favorite. Keep it up, you're a beast!
