My buddy's got a '12 KX250f with a '14 ProCircuit built motor running U4-4 and he rides that thing balls out. You 2 make me wanna check out those Kawis. I'm just starting out basically on a race built '15 FC250 and just bought a '19 Rockstar 450. Love your channel too. Good to see the fam together. Hahaha
Luckily got to try one out in the trail the other day man do they go doing sand hill climbs like nothing just fat roost and going. Nothing like the 125 and 150 SX
Your riding has improved vastly over the year or so Ive been subbed, but I have to say that you could consider taking this channnel to a more professional level and get with a dealership to showcase all brands. Youre pretty spot on with all points, good and bad with each bike you ride. Just a thought. Lookin forward to more content regardless. Keep shreddin brother. 🤙🏼
Hey thank you man I appreciate that! I have reached out to many dealerships and moto companies throughout the years with the goal of working together. Unfortunately most of them don't care about me since I don't race or they want me to provide advertising free of charge.
as awesome as that is. i prefer the simplicity of an old carbuerretted 2 stroke with its exciting but not quite as usable power, over a modern fuel injected 2 stroke that apparently feels almost like a 4 stroke to ride. but i dont ride competitively, just for fun, at the back of the pack..
Yeah the carbed 2 strokes definitely have a stronger "hit" sensation when transitioning from low to high rpm. This new EFI bike has a super smooth power curve. It still feels like a 2 stroke of course, but the power delivery is way more controllable and predictable.
bro i got my 2015 ktm 250sx back today i missed her then seeing this on my feed its awesome im trying to save man to deck my bike but man are prices high
@@DerekHallman no issues if your deciding to get one go for it dude it's a sick back same bike as the 2024. And if there is a issue it's not something Major like the older 2 strokes

Warning on the high tech. 60hrs on my '24 300SX and she's down on FI technology! Best bike I've ever ridden, but yeah, thank you KTM for experimenting on my dime.
I’ve ridden quads when I was like 9-12 but then stopped riding but now I want to buy a dirt bike which I’ve never ridden but I’m 5’4 so don’t know if I should start like on a 150 but I really don’t want to outgrow it and have to buy a new one again so I’ve been looking into the crf250Rx but I really want a 2 stroke and that’s why I’m here and also like Ktm but there obviously more expensive but I will keep doing my research on this one now
How does this compaire to the 2018 250 sx u rode awhile ago derek ? Im a old school feel 2 stroke guy . I love the explosion of power i get from my carb bike
Overall I think the new fuel injected ones are better because the jetting is perfect throughout the throttle range. It might not have the exact same hit as a carb bike but it still feels like a 2 stroke. If it were me personally, I'd buy the new EFI smoker.
Actually what has more power in your opinion the 150 2 stroke or the 250f Guessing it’s the 150 cause of the big bore but 4 stroke tech has gone far nowadays
A 250f is faster then 2 strokes under 200ccs. Every cross country Race I've seen was 125 150 200 and 250f. The 250f always got the hole shots and were always under 6th. A 125 is really slow and a 150 is basically just a big bore 125.
@@JOEMAMA.95 I got a yz125 and as slow as it is considering you have to rev it out you feel fast. I’m coming off a ttr125 though so anything could feel fast lol. @@Declan_conlan yeah I don't hate a 125 2 stroke personally I mean. It looks fun to play around with but I'm a 250f guy at heart they rev too alot but It doesn't bother me I'm talking about a ktm haha and the Husqvarna but if I were you I'd upgrade to a 250f so that you know there's power when you need it but you gotta atleast be over 5’5 and weigh like 70 kg or more so that the bike doesn't jump around and feel heavy Yk? I'm like 17 now but I'd love to take a 85 and be pined on it in fields like a pit bike
Hard to say cuz they power is in different spots. My 150sx feels faster than a 250f when you keep it perfectly in the midrange of its power, but my 250fs have way more torque and also rev out farther. So in the middle of the power my 150 feels faster but in the bottom end and top end my 250fs are definitely faster.

Always a good day when Derek uploads i just got a klx 140 for christmas and going to ride this weekend so any tips for me? (Im a new rider, but i know some basic stuff)
I got one- I’m a fairly new rider and if your gonna do MX get a 85 or even a 125 2 stroke. I had a ttr-125 and the suspension kills. On your bike though practice corners and always change gears. On fours strokes it’s good to be one higher than normal, unlike 2 strokes which is one down
@@Astrxishim then you chose the right bike, I’ve heard they are good for learning and have plenty of power, especially in trails. Don’t try racing people and try new places. Enjoy!

You ride so smooth these days ..nice easy brake taps.and no washing out in the sand corners..which has been your Achilles heal in the past..as far as suspension I have a problem with ktm..if a guy is gonna shell out 13 or 14vthousand for a new bike he deserves the best the company can offer..not the tier 2 air fork I find it to be bullshit!..give me the kyb sss yamahas..I think Yamaha needs a counterbalance motor most of all on its two stroke line I can live with carburetor
Thanks for the kind words Craig! I'm trying to be smoother these days so I don't break anymore ribs 😂 Honestly the suspension on this new 24 is definitely better than any stock air forks I've rode in the past!
