    WOW! Those look absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to try this dish. I think my Chinese husband is going to be very impressed and this will be my very first time making the steamed buns. Update: I made them and they turned out perfectly! We used shiitake mushrooms and steamed for about 15 mins. Also, I only used 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1/2 tsp of sesame seed oil to make this recipe closer to a whole food plant based recipe. They are sooooo good! My Chinese husband raved about them! : D

    In your extra "How to make the dough" video that you link to during this has an extra 1/4 cup of water added to the recipe and it makes the dough too wet and sticky to work with. This video has just 3 cups flour to 1 cup water in the description. That ratio seems to work much better.

    everytime I make a vegetable filling it always ends up being watery. why is this?

    • @miriamearthling4107
      @miriamearthling4107 7 років тому +2

      Probably it's because the cabbage looses its water. Try salting it before and letting it sit for 15 minutes. Then rinse it with water before mixing together with the other veggies. That's what I'd try. It's how cabbage and veggies like eggplant actually often are prepared for cooking in China/Korea/Japan :)
