man rogue lineage had this special feel to it that deepwoken doesn't have; it just seemed magical in the early days of the game

That’s because it was less organized and most the fun came from the players, which wasn’t a bad thing, but for a long term game like deep it wouldn’t rlly work out. Rogue was like an Open cc game while deep is an actual rpg.
Plus we still in the early stages of the game as more layers get added and we meet more lore figures the game will become magical
exactly what I have said before, It had a special feel to it that deep just didn't have and like many I just quit because its the same thing over and over.
just think about it, rogue had barely any menus, everything you did and your interactions with the world were organic, no spamming your training tools, no power levels, no actual stats + a lot of hidden lore and mysteries that deepwoken still doesn't have yet. Here's hoping the devs will finally get done with the PvP balancing and focus on the lore more.
Bro how is it possible for a game to have so much deleted/limited content, imagine how much more stuff there would be if all the dev specs were actually normal abilities

honestly deepwoken was not as great as the release of rogue, we knew way too much due to the testers, rogue had testers too, but they didnt leak much, making the game more explorable instead of just watching 1 video and know basically most of the information that you need to get to power 30 at least, but rogue had more stuff to explore before ultras were common, people were just using super classes until people actually explored tundra enough, instead of testers just giving the people guides, the unknown in rogue is way better in my opinion.
yeah exactly, the feeling of not knowing what to do and being on edge due to the permadeath mechanic made it feel so thrilling, and the game had this replayability to it that deepwoken doesn't really have. the game was magical
I agree because even for those who arrived later it is magical the game doesn't explain much to you and just with a video you can't understand much and to learn you'll have to play a lot
this is actually factual playing rogue for 1st 3 WAS SO INTERESTING AND MAGICAL. after 1 week of deepwoken and 3 starter guides it got boring and now its already reached make max build repeat
you can blame the lesser unknown feeling on the fact that death is way less significant as it can be gained back easily. In rogue there was something to lose, so why venture too far out and lose a life?
@@henry.08216 the death system being like rogue ISN'T the fix just make the trial more scary/harder rogue death system was very flawed it was especially harder for people who couldn't clip and the only way tpo get a life back was by getting a RARE artifact which isn't a problem for people with big houses or exploiting bank alts. also rogue feeels and IS more unbalanced like faceless macro, deepwoken isn't balanced but there isn't faceless macro, even corrupted crypr wind up u can dodge or parry it

I know it would be better to let the game rest in peace, but I would really like it to be worked on. Rag or Arch don't even have to be doing it either. There still is some unfinished stuff in the game

i wish i could go back in time not only to experience the initial release of rogue, but maybe if i could get tester i could go and investigate all of these mysteries. its unrealistic but all of this is so interesting and its sad that unless the devs do some kind of infodump itll remain unknown forever
That's the good part they don't tell you anything unlike deepwoken they just kinda spoon feed you the everything about.the game

Been playing rogue since it first went into paid access. It's raised my expectations for roblox games by a lot and has caused me to meet friends I never woulda made without the game. I remember most of everything in this video except for wave 0 stuff cause i wasn't in wave 0 and only watched videos on it. But this video was awesome and an amazing nostalgia trip.
being there when most of these things were in the game makes me feel special, good memories
i think the most fun i had in this video was hearing you pronounce certain khei words (which are lithuanian) since its somewhat of a ancient language and i understand it, good video!

Rewatching this, I always got kind of annoyed that so much content got removed for seemingly no reason. I understand that at the time that most of this happened, rogue was an amateur developer side project but seriously, so much of this is really interesting to hear about.
From poison respirare, to scroom gate, to almost every unobtainable thing in the game, it's a shame that so much was scrapped when so much time had been put into it.
I feel like the removed content made the game a you had to be there type of game

My only experience of Rogue Lineage was playing as a Mushroom and running into a group of humans they gangbanged me and I asked why they said because I was a Mushroom and continued to spawn trap me till I rage quite the game never touched it since.

Deepwoken just doesn't have that mystery that rogue had, rogue took so long to get figured out, deepwoken too a month
Deepwoken had more people working trying to find its lore, but yes it will never be as intriguing as rogue
mystery cant really exist when your game have 30-40k players on release + exploiters that can look into the game files and look everywhere

Bloodring didn't give fist classes lifesteal it just applied to any mana based moves.
Fun trivia: Darkblood was a thing in Tales From The Valley and there was a "hunt" for it for a player to find it. It gave you 4x defense at night but during the day you'd be far more frail and take 2x damage. (The hunt was rigged and Raguza ((Ragoozer)) ended up getting it.

For real man thank you, although rouge may have made me suicidal, I have spent so many boring math classes looking at rouge lineage lore on the wiki but not being able to decipher it fully. This is even cooler than lore this is some super hidden stuff, but do you think you could make a video explaining the lore sometime? That would be epic

@@sharky3994 sure you can put points in to different things, but in reality the playstyles are still the same. at most theres like 5-10 unique playstyles in dw, and compared to rogue's classes, its pretty limited

5:37 I joined Runemaster Eldin a month or two ago, before deepwoken. I became a literal shrieker, and for the previous, that happened, although that happened a year ago, and I had no idea how to play Rogue Lineage. I thought that was "the norm"..
When I was a shrieker, the SECOND eldin left, I burned into a crispy white flame. Also we ate people lol

I was there during the thanos event. If you had pickpocket you could steal peoples silver and they couldn’t do anything about. I made about 37k silver that day hopping on different alts n repeating. They still had trinket steal as well so if u got lucky u might’ve got something real nice

me and my friends refused to watch any of the deep woken videos n guides and stuff and for the 1st month the game, and it felt like old rogue in the sense of we were discovering new islands finding new enemies. I wasn't actually there for old rogue (I joined right after they switched the Gui) because my family was struggling with money, but I remember going to my friend's house and watching them play. I even found my current best friend because I attacked him for grips. overall rogue was a truly special game that just doesn't hit the same anymore I wish I could have bought the game sooner so that I could have experienced it all firsthand instead of watching other play it.
there is nothing like tundra istg in deepwoken we need that survival type of aspect

Hey, the nerd here! Actually dinakeri was able to use tubes ever since it’s release in May I believe. The mirrors phase had only lasted one day I think too 😜 But I do remember being one of the firsts to get dinakeri and how super classes asked me to ko them and carry into the mirrors
