I'm in Michigan at home, enjoying your video and making my list of must-buys. Nocterra, Basilisk were amazing! Great video bro. I love INDIES!
Great list full of great books! You and many others agreed as to the best book of 2022. Thanks for another fantastic show filled with lots of amazing information, Bruce!
I agree Slumber was hilarious and I also felt the tears in the end.
Eight Billion Genies is curiously absent from this list.
Deserved better than Stephanie Phillips
I did not read it, which is why is why it is not on the list.
It's meh
I got to get a book on this list! It's now a life goal! Great vid as always man, So upbeat, you make me want to read all of these books.
Indies rarely disappoint ...i loved Eight billion genies, The Boogeyman( do read it has been fantastic), Barbaric, Basilisk, Junkyard Joe, Dark spaces. Haven't read a few from your list will read those. As always awesome list Bruce. Thanks
Greeings Bruce & Stephanie,
Do you mind me asking if you do pre-launch reviews of upcoming indie comics?
The reason for me asking is because I'm starting my own new series on amazon kdp and i will be launching the 1st issue round mid october.
It's an actual printed paper comic, though a digital version version will be available as well.
Thanks for reading and best regards,
Vic.
My Top 5:
1 - Ice Cream Man
2 - Do A Powerbomb.
3 - Eight Billion Genies
4 - Junkyard Joe
5 - Something Is Killing The Children
A few honorable mentions: Dark Ride, Vanish, Gunslinger Spawn.
Out of your Top 5 I've been reading: Do A Powerbomb, Grim, Wynd (dropped after first issue), and Slumber.
Glad you saved your hard drive Bruce! Agree on slumber, great crazy mini series. Also... Did you catch my fanart on do a Powerbomb 5?
I loved Do a Powerbomb. Your top 5 I read a few of the number ones but besides Do a Powerbomb didn't have much. Will check out Grim and Slumber when the trades come out though. Can't wait to get one of those legends stickers.
Do a Power Bomb is my #1 I'd maybe add Mindset and Human Target up there
A lot of these I missed but I have the trade paperbacks preordered or on my buy list
GREAT CHOICES!!! I honestly think Vanish is my favorite indie from 2022. GRIM, Behold Behemoth ,Something is Killing The Children, and End After End were all GREAT
Yes I agree with all your choices as well. I only read one issue of Behold Behemoth, but I loved it.
I hope you two consider Artificial #1 for the 2023 list!
Can you please re edit the thumbnail and put those shades and splifff lol OG ❤
Thanks!
Amazing video! Agree completely with your list!
I HIGHLY recommend junkyard joe. It's phenomenal so far
Yes the first 3 issues have been amazing!
Probably the best thing I've read in a long time.
👏🏿👏🏿
What about Eric July's comic guess selling 6 million dollars worth of comics means nothing.
8 billion Genies was amazing book ,how is it not on the list ??? I really thought you'd have it as number one
Shocked Blowtorch or C.H.E.S.S dis not make the list..
Indie is almost as bad as dc spec
I am guessing that means you do not agree with me. What indie books did you enjoy.
The Bible says that homosexuality is a sin, so that is the truth. Gods Word comes first.
wow, what a dark over sexualized group of choices. count me out. I want a good story but not porn or excessive unnecessary violence. I want to see heroes and good art, not dark sketches. Yeah, these comic books are the kind of books you find for people who live spiritually underground. I will stick with Superman and Spiderman and maybe "newspaper girls" or From Her to Eternity, or Wizards and Gangsters or Ginger Cat or Rough Riders or Gravity. Cheery bye. Wont' be returning.
Calm down
Relax
Hey Luke, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Everyone likes the comics they like and I did not think there were to many overly sexual books on the list, but there was a bunch of horror, but that is always what you get with Indies. I appreciate you stopping by and watching the video, I hope you find another content creator that likes the same books you do.
So tired of tynion . Always making little kids gay.
