I have read a few Ahoy books, Snelson was good and I really liked My Bad since I’m a fan of that kind of humor. The Indie comics always seem to have better paper quality which is weird considering they’re working with a smaller budget. Happy and healthy New Year to you as well!

I just started getting into comics at 37 and am really interested in indie and scifi comics, and this is so helpful since I don't know much about where to find comics I'd like. It's hard to find printed reviews that clearly show good options since they so often seem like something a corporation put together or don't list things I'm interested in. Subscribed to your channel!

Abigail, I’ve made it my mission to promote good indie comics as much as possible. So many others are praising the cape comics (which are fine) but they don’t need promotion as much as the indies. Hope you like some of the recommendations!

When I was a kid I used to buy comics and read them all the time but never considered it collecting. mostly spiderman and jay and silent bob comics. fastforward 20 years and I'm picking up comics again and went straight to indie. I've gotten Stray dogs. Nice house on the lake. HaHa, Me You love in the Dark. And I just ordered up Vinyl. Loved all of them so far so I keep finding myself coming back to this video for moreXD thanks man.
The best thing about comics is that you can always come back. They’ll be here waiting with so much new cool content, especially the indies. Glad you’re back and super glad this video played a part in your return!

What a great pick for #1, I’m ashamed to admit I don’t have it in my top 3, even though I enjoyed every issue. Same for your #2 pick, I enjoyed that book so much, I can’t believe it didn’t make my top 3. Stray Dogs is a no-brainer, for sure, that book is so well done, not in my top 3 because I jumped on the bandwagon after that FCBD issue, lol. Ed Piskor puts more ink on a panel than some do on a page. I don’t care for the gore & violence, but red room is probably the best written book of the year. As always, I love your insight and wisdom when it comes to reviewing books. Happy new year, stay warm!

I was able to track down issues 2-5 of Karmen in the 50 cent bins of my LCS. I got #1 on eBay. This book did nothing to hook me when it was first released. I bought it on your recommendation. I have to agree with your assessment. This is a terrific read! I wish there were more stories on important issues like this. Thank you!
