For some reason I cannot see @HighlandG comment here but only in my notifications, so I will pop it here in case no one else can either! Thank you for taking part mate! Highland G commented: "This came together really well. great video and well done getting everyone to take part."
Thank you 'For the Love of Comics', I really thought we were gonna get through a best of Dark Horse with no mentions of Grendel for a moment there!! Maybe you just have to be old like me to know it, haha, but highly recommended now they are re-printing the omni's.
Awesome video. Dark Horse is probably my favorite publisher. Black Beetle looks interesting, reminds me of Lobster Johnson. Going to give it a try. No one had BPRD? What the! Guess Dark Horse has too much good stuff or people simply forgot. My list, in no order: Hellboy, BPRD Plague of Frogs, Fear Agent, Black Hammer and Harrow County.
Thank you FTLOC! Breaking out the classics! I was screaming in my head at everyone before you. “Concrete!” No best of Dark Horse list could possibly be complete without Concrete. Also heartily agree with you on Grandville. Anything by Bryan Talbot is pure gold. Age of Reptiles is vastly overlooked and deserves an oversized HC edition. While everyone else picked the low hanging fruit of the obviously great Usagi Yojimbo and Hellboy (though to be honest they would be on my list as well) you brought in the deep cut tracks that not everyone would necessarily have heard of and deserve just as many accolades. I would also like to humbly submit my further recommendations of the lesser recognized Frank Miller masterpiece The Life and Times of Martha Washington in the Twenty-First Century, the magnificent illustration and storytelling of Mark Schultz’s Xenozoic Tales (aka Cadillacs and Dinosaurs), and the beautifully absurd Flaming Carrot.
I agree. Only reason I skipped Age of Reptiles because I hoped some day Dark Horse will release Library Edition. I am still on the fence about Martha Washington comics.
WoW WoW WoW!!! I can't believe how cool this video is. You gathered all my favorite video creators in one single video. This is amazing!!! Thank you very much for this awesome video! You have made my day. P.S. This is one of my favorite youtube channles. P.S. # 2 I loved the books selections of your daughters, Usagi is my # 1 Dark Horse Comic :)
Great effort n wonderful job on this vid, Chris! To me growing up Dark Horse Comics has always been the books with 'mysterious, horror n enigmatic' stories. So happy birthday to Dark Horse, may u always prosper n give us many more titles n stories for yrs n decades to come, cheers! Stay safe n take care Chris, peace n love from Malaysia! P/S: Chris, im gonna cheat n give my top 8 DH comics (no way its in any particular order, i just cant!) 1. Hellboy 2. Black Hammer 3. Harrow County 4. Lady Killer 5. Umbrella Academy 6. Blacksad 7. Dept.H 8. Sin City (I would have included Fear Agent but i have it in the Image collected edition)
Wow what a great video and all the people who got involved I myself would have liked to have joined but UA-cams not really my scene Hellboy of course is raining champ but it was nice to see some other picks of familiar favourites and stuff I’ve never heard of Nice to see the little ones raised well to pick usagi and hopefully one day you can share all the other great series with them but until then stay safe and happy reading
Love the content you've been putting out! I've definitely added more than a few titles to my wish list with this whole Dark Horse Celebration. Looking forward to future videos.
What a great video! Some really great choices too. Blacksad has been on my list for a while, but I never realised it was published by Dark Horse. For what it's worth, my top 5 is: Umbrella Academy Black Hammer Buffy The Vampire Slayer Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale Adventures of Luther Arkwright
The Black Beetle is one of my favorite comics. I also loved how Fear Agent Library Editions still get love even after Image owns rights. I would have done the same for Colossal Conan books if they were widely available as Fear Agent.
Francesco Francavilla does not get enough praise in my eyes! And because of the lovely oversized DH treatment I think fear agent will be seen as a DH book for a long time to come.
Yeah, we know, but it was published by dark horse and anything with their name on it is eligible in my eyes. It an amazing comic no matter what publisher put it out!
And they said Infinity War was the most ambitious crossover.. you’re absolutely killing it with the content lately
😆 infinity war has got nothing on us! Thank you loads, very glad you are enjoying what’s coming out!
It was great seeing Highlander and Near Mint, but I really popped huge when I saw For the Love of Comics!!
Glad you enjoyed!
I can’t wait to see everyone’s lists. I’m very happy to have been a part of this.
I’m very happy you are a part of it too mate!
Good video.

Trust me I was shocked with the lack of BPRD! I put it down to the lack of availability of those hardcovers. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed!

He always brings something unique to whatever he does! Lovely additions by you also and thanks for watching!
I agree. Only reason I skipped Age of Reptiles because I hoped some day Dark Horse will release Library Edition. I am still on the fence about Martha Washington comics.

Sadly Aliens and Predator didn’t get any love:(
Thank you! And trust me I was shocked with the lack of xenomorphs!
Amazing video mate. Such a good idea. Would love to be a part of something like this if you do anything similar in the future
Thank you! I will certainly give you a shout in future!
What a great video! Some really great choices too. Blacksad has been on my list for a while, but I never realised it was published by Dark Horse.
For what it's worth, my top 5 is:
Umbrella Academy

@@OffMyShelves I wish we had one more Black Beetle mini or a library edition. The Black Beetle and Francavilla art deserve that format.
@@amrit9037 I agree! Fingers crossed he will bring it back at some point 🤞
Brilliant!
Cool kids man take after their dad :)
Thank you very much!
I'm parking my butt early to get a good seat. Looking forward to it later ✌️
Angshuman from FTLOC is the living encyclopedia of Comic Books. Learn something new from Angshuman.
I’m glad Colder and Blacksad got some love.
So am I! Absolutely love Blacksad and have now been introduced to colder!
Blacksad is not translated from spanish, but from french.
Noted! 👍
Blacksad is European translated to dark horse
Yeah, we know, but it was published by dark horse and anything with their name on it is eligible in my eyes. It an amazing comic no matter what publisher put it out!
Im surprised berserk was just mention once!
I was surprised too!
No granville by bryan talbot
One of us did pick Granville...I wont spoil which one.
Witchfinder grandville luther arkwright rex mundi and hellboy
Excellent list! A lot of Talbot love! Never read Rex mundi so I’ll look into that one.
