How has it held up? Wearing thru? Still east to clean?
No more bad smells from wet carpet!
This cant be cheap at all
Did you use 1 or 2 gallons of each coating?
For the 4-door it took 2 gallons of each for the Lizard Skin, and 1 gallon of the Raptor Liner
Thanks for sharing! Did you leave all the tape /plugs in the bold holes until the last coat of raptor liner?
Yes we did. The only area where we had an issue was in one small space along the tailgate door. Other than that, the tape and plugs all came out perfectly and didn't pull any of the liner with them! Thanks for the great question.
@@Family4Wheelin great stuff! I'll be doing this project in the spring. Once last question.. did you use the same spray gun for the lizardSkin and the raptor liner?
@@silboersma4774 Best advice is plan more time than you anticipate for the prep work. The actual spraying doesn't take too long, but to do the prep right, you need a fair amount of time. We did not use the same sprayer, we used the sprayers that come with each product. Make sure to watch your air pressure so you get a consistent layer.
@@Family4Wheelin Prepping sounds fun! Thanks again.
Did you use primer on the van before spraying the Lizard skin on and if so what primer did you use and why did you choose it? I was going to use Por15 but read some bad reviews and that it isn't the best if you plan on topcoating, which I plan on using Lizard Skin. TIA
We did not prime the entire tub, only in spots where there was bare metal showing. We probably used less than 1/2 a can of primer. We used Raptor brand Acid Etch Primer.
Por-15 makes a "tie coat primer" so you can use whatever you want on top.
Don't use lizard skin on bare metal ,it's water based and will cause rust so you need something on bare metal.
Paint can just be scuffed.
How durable is it?
This is a very durable setup. Adding the Raptor Liner ont op of the LIzardSkin helped to ensure it would stand up!
How did the lizard skin work out?
It worked out great! Cut down on noise and heat and looked great. I highly recommend it.
@@Family4Wheelin Can you do a video of what is sounds like now and a temp gun reading?
@@Family4Wheelin how much did it cut down on heat? can you touch the rear metal above the exhaust safely? is the heat safe for pets?
