    Muy buena reseña del coros, hace poco me compre un pace 2 y ya estaba arrepintiéndome pero después de varios entrenamientos con él y ver tu video creo que ese sentimiento está desapareciendo. Gracias.

      In my mind it just keeps getting better. Takes a little to get used to it but I just love that Coros keep updating it.

    I’ve had the pace 2 for four months and I really love it. Battery life, scroll wheel and the watch weight is amazing.

      I’ve only had it for 5 days. But wow. I can’t get over how good it is. Battery. Watch visibility during the day ease of use and also the app is really good. Reliable!!! I’m using Stryd as well. And I’ve checked back to compare to other watches and that pace 2 keeps winning.

      Absolutely! I love this thing. The reliability of the app is brilliant. All those things you talked about are fantastic. I just have a few little bugbears but they’re small.

      I've had mine for 15 month's. Love love, love it, live it. I don't go to deep into data tbh. It's light, easy, battery and cheaper than others.

    Nice review of the Coros. I almost bought this watch last year too but went for the Garmin 745 instead. I often think I should have went with Coros.
    The screen change would drive me mad too. I'd only use that during a workout. Open water on the Garmin 745 isn't great either. It can be hit or miss too.

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate. I’m really glad I bit the bullet and switched. The screen thing is frustrating but knowing how Coros works, it’ll probably be fixed soon. In Australia, the Garmin 745 is $800. Not even worth considering when your budget is in the 300s.

    It looks like a nice piece of kit and while that wheel navigation looks quite nifty while lounging at home, I couldn't deal with having to use that while out running. I'd have to leave autoscroll on.

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve never really used auto scroll. I just tend to put the four metrics I want on a screen and leave it on that.

    You can unlock the watch in settings by holding the top button down instead of scrolling

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому

      Absolutely. Still a PITA that could have much less of a negative impact if the watch didn’t have the default workout screen. It’s an area that needs improvement.

    I'm training for marathon. Which watch should I consider Coros pace 2 or Garmin forerunner 245 ? My priority is pre-installed marathon training plan , speed training , interval workout.

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому +1

      The pre-installed training program is the key here. Coros have training plans and they can be downloaded to the watch, but Garmin’s training plan functionality is much more advanced. You can set your Garmin to tell you what you should run every day when you get up. I would go for the Garmin in your case.

    Thank you so much, are you still using pace 2 as daily driver? Did Coros fix any of the shortcomings you asked them to fix like custom workout screen, etc

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  Рік тому

      Yes I am. I love it still. They are still pushing firmware updates. They have fixed some of the things that I complained about. They half fixed the workout screen. You can change it to a custom screen during the first rep and it will stay there. There still aren’t any notification screens in workouts but otherwise they’ve fixed most things.

    Did they fix the screen layout resetting after a lap? That would drive me nuts. I am looking to run with an AW and a Coros pace 2. Both connecting to a Stryd via Bluetooth and ANT+ at the same time. I will get communications from the AW and other metrics from the Coros. And I will always have a failsafe in a race if my AW dies.

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому

      Unfortunately no they have not changed that yet. This is the most disappointing aspect of the Coros ecosystem. I have forced myself to get used to using the workout screen but it is still frustrating.
      That sounds like having a lot of data being fed to you during a run. I can’t think that fast when I’m running to process it all!!

    • @TheSloanlogic
      @TheSloanlogic 2 роки тому

      @@runningwithaj I actually ran today. And that screen I was on-a custom screen-stayed after I received the lap pace and time. So it’s working as it should, meaning the screen that you’re currently using will stay after a lap. I will continue to test it out. Perhaps check that your have the most updated firmware??

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому +2

      Yes they did. If you change the screen during the first rep it will stay on that screen. Unfortunately there are still no lap summaries. Hope this helps!

    • @benlange6422

      So after the run, it won’t give like specific lap pace (i.e mile splits)?

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому

      It does in the app after the run, but it doesn’t give you a lap summary at the end of each lap like Garmins do. I often used lap summaries to monitor how I was going in the workout rather than looking at the watch too often

    I'm getting 10 days-ish battery. In 3 days I'm already at 65%. I find it's very inaccurate for telling me how much battery I still have. 1 hour of gps=3or4days of normal use.
    If I run for 20 min it will deduct a hour of gps.
    Coros needs to improve some bugs. Also needs to add better watch faces. I want a all white screen with black numbers. Idk why nobody has thought of it.

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому +1

      Have you looked into your notification settings? I shut don notifications from a lot of apps and I find that extends the battery life a bit. I agree that those bugs need to be fixed. Not bad for a very new company to the market. Considering how much longer Garmin has been doing this the user experience is very robust.

      I must admit that my battery life has decreased since making this video. I’ve had the watch for just under two years now and i’m down to about 9 days with a one hour run each day. I find that notifications take a lot out of the battery and customising those can improve the battery life

  • @kratos692

    How does it compare to Forerunner 55?

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  Рік тому

      The Forerunner 55 is a great basic running watch. It is perfect for someone who wants to run anything up to a road marathon. It has all the training features that someone training for those races would want. In fact, the smart coaching and recovery features from Garmin are better than coros so a beginner would be better buying the 55.
      That being said, if the 55 had existed when I bought my Coros, I would not have bought it. The Garmin is a running watch with some very basic cycling and pool swimming features. As I like to dabble in triathlon, I need open water swimming and triathlon modes. The Garmin 55 does not have those so it’s a no for me. For most people the Garmin 55 is a better purchase.

    Wat about the GPS accuracy is it par with Garmin??

    • @runningwithaj
      @runningwithaj  2 роки тому

      This is an interesting one as how do you measure accuracy? As I said in the video, open water swimming accuracy is terrible. As far as running goes, the Coros appears to smooth the course less than Garmin which appears to be more accurate. When running through trees it wanders as much as a Garmin but appears to try to pin you down rather than plotting a straight line.
