No Traces / No Alerts / Perfect Stealth / S Rank.
* *
RULES:
1) Perfect Stealth / No Kills / No Combat Alerts.
2) NO TRACES bonus requires:
No CQC (hold-ups are allowed)
No direct physical contact with enemies, like kicking or bumping into someone
No weapons or bionic arm attacks
No support weapons, including empty magazines
No attacks from buddies
No rank-restricting equipment, like active camo
No supply or vehicle drops (calling in the chopper is allowed).
3) EQUIPMENT:
Enemies have maximum level of preparedness against covert actions
All enemy equipment is left intact (mines, cameras, helmets, etc.)
My own equipment is fully upgraded with all bionic arm upgrades unlocked.
4) As an extra challenge, when dealing with enemies who are not the mission targets:
No hold-ups
No distractions
No suspicions raised.

There are 3 spots where the film canister can appear, with the one in the middle of Spugmay Keep being the hardest to reach. You have to grab it as soon as you get there or you'll be forced to wait a bit.

Damn, that was nice. Doing this mission without being spotted even at night is giving me nightmares, and you just stroll in, broad daylight and all, grab the film and stroll out like it's no big deal? I'm beginning to think I really suck at MGS.
Also, I don't recognize that camo, mind sharing what it is? :o

MISSION COMPLETE AND HOW? They're gonna be telling stories about this one, Prenatual.
Skipped missions are just old missions with restrictions (full stealth, no equipment etc.) Since prenatual already completed them this way, I don't see reasons to redo them. That's why he skipped them.
I don't think so. The C2W mission for example he completed with the water pistol. In the subsistence one he would have to find a new strategy. And here I am replying to a four year old commentary.

This is probably the easiest mission to get no traces on, after To Know Too Much, but probably the fastest.
I found Root Cause to be even easier (and it's the first mission in which I got a No Traces with my own strategy); I waited on the middle of the road north of the outpost where the prisoner is, then he got in a truck and made his escape attempt only to stop where I was. I picked him up, got him in the truck, drove the hell away, not a single shot fired and everything got wrapped up in less than 3 minutes.

@prenatual - in the description for all these videos, you wrote, "Enemies have maximum level of preparedness against covert actions". What does that mean? Does that mean if I perform one of the Combat Missions that eliminates gas masks/helmets/riot gear/etc prior to the main mission, it can prevent me from getting the No Traces bonus?

+Michael Stack You don't need the enemies at a maximum level of preparedness to achieve No Traces, it's just something prenatual likes to do for added challenge.

+Michael Stack Super late, but in case you have not gotten an answer, it means they are taking precautions of prenaturals covert ability, like his ability to sneak into bases un detected or do missions without being seen.
They then take precautions such as waking up faster, checking disturbances more, and so on. It corresponds to the emblems at the top right of the map on the iDroid.

I just modified my UN-ARC with an underbarrel grenade launcher, grabbed a launcher because they have choppers EVERYWHERE in my game and gave Quiet her Brennan LRS and told her to go ham. Lots of fun :)

What happened to missions 36-37?
+SaltyWaffles The strategy for getting No Traces on most of Extreme and Total Stealth missions would be completely identical to what I've already shown. I don't see a point in redoing them. On Extreme it just would take 2-3 times longer.
I will do one Subsistence mission (Occupation Forces), since it requires a different approach. There is another subsistence mission (C2W) but I don't know how to do it with No Traces, so I'll skip it.

On subsistence C2W, I didn't do a No traces run, but since i didn't have any weapons and did not want to use any guns, I picked up multiple D-mines and planted them inside the room with the transmitter. Then I distracted a guard to force him to come into the room and the mines exploded and destroyed the transmitter. Maybe you could try that and possibly escape using a container fulton before the guards call CP? That way, it would be a subsistence "no alerts" run.
qsqua There is no need to use the mines in C2W Subsistence. You can grab a pack of grenades from the transmitter room, go outside, throw a grenade in the window and blow it up.
+prenatual And here I thought my Rocket Launcher Strat was impeccable.
@@qsqua Easier way is to ride the chopper into the base, use the miniguns to take out the dishes, and switch seats to avoid getting spotted. Takes under 2 minutes and you can easily get perfect stealth, no kills
Are you going to get the intel, then block the road with the missile launcher vehicle for mission 48?

I can't unlock this mission. I completed mission 35 and all yellow side ops missions but it didn't show up...
Ok, I solved this problem. I had to complete regular side ops missions.
For sure i cant do what u can do like in this video.. so i trigger reflex than i tranquile them 1 by one.. but still got score 154945 of course S rank too.. but dont get no traces bonus.. i dont know how much time u try this trick 😆😆
