Fundamental reasons, in my opinion are:(1) lack of opportunities, poor economic policies killed growth of business/industries.(2) Too much emphasis on standardization/uniformity by CBSE/state boards, now questions and even answers are standard= rot learning (3) myself seen some govt school teachers in drunken state in schools, but job and salary is guaranteed, no incentive/pressure to improve. (4) Lack of opportunities also means that individuals not enjoying teaching also join. (5) Industrial training institutes should be given priority over engineering colleges

Some of the things he said in the video are debatable and we can find better alternatives. But you can't deny the fact that the Indian education system needs a total overhaul and a radical change.

Hello one more thing Indian govt should first remove caste from Indian society, it's rampant still in villages of country then feel free to remove reservation once everyone is equal before God. But we never talk about abolishing caste identity do we?
