I work as a Writer and Content Strategist.Four years ago, I was jobless, holding an Engineering degree that seemed useless. I come from a village in Karnataka, far from any Tier 1 or Tier 2 city, and struggled to form a sentence in English. Desperate for any job, I was trying everything. Then COVID hit. That pause was a game-changer, helping me realize what I truly wanted to do. I wanted a job in the creative field because I love consuming media and writing. During COVID, I spent my time watching movies and writing reviews. I built a blog on WordPress and started posting my reviews, all from my phone, as I didn’t have a laptop.I applied for writer roles everywhere. Someone saw my blog posts and liked my assignment. That was enough for them to hire me, and I landed my first job in the field I genuinely wanted to work in. Every day since has been fun and fulfilling. After landing my first job, I set two goals for myself: improve my English and master writing. I have come a long way since then and continue to enjoy the journey.
Hey there this is really inspiring and I also wanted to apply as a Content Writer / copy writer, I would be glad if you could help me with this and I can also give you my sample work
Hello my big brother can you tell me that where do you work please I am a graduate, last month I gave my final year graduation paper Please I am jobless, I want work in writing field
As a student I remember attending this talk on analog design. The speaker did his undergrad in a non IIT/NIT/BITs but later on went to USA to MIT for his higher studies. He said something that still sticks with me: "It doesnt matter where you're from. What matters is what you know."
Yes, circumstances matter, but if you spend your time blaming your circumstances, you waste the time and the energy that you could instead use to come out of it.
I was in college and I failed in my second year. I was lost, frustrated and didn't know what to do. I found some interesting videos on UA-cam about Photoshop, I learned graphic designing from multiple sources (all of them were FREE). One day I saw an ad of hiring designers. I applied for it, gave the interview and they liked my work and hired me. Now I'm a senior graphic designer there.✌️

Literally the best video out there especially for the PCB/PCM folks who're currently stuck into multiple drops and failures due to increasing competition.

tier 2 colleges are somewhat better than iits, as they are just like NITs, they give more international exposure and placements. most kids end up even more confused like this after completing degrees in iits, they are just lost. so better do the college you get and make your own career.
This actually made me teared up, Varun and achina, thank you so much. You guys are what India needs, Im so sad that people don't find stuff like this. You guys are doing great work, the amount of good will is just insane. thank you so much again.

After seeing the video I wanted to share my experience. My background:- Goa, currently 2nd year student in Engineering College (not renowned), middle class, had a low end laptop in the house. My story :- during covid started learning python and programming languages as hobby and it grove into a passion, And today I applied for an internship (unpaid) for backend engineer and got selected, I did this for to gain experience and nobody in my college is as skilled as me, why I am sharing this because whatever it is told in video is absolute truth. Work on your passion, make good projects, And to be honest I never knew I could build a career in it, I code because it makes me feel alive and it feels cool, I kinda like addicted to it. So Find a passion or a field to get started. PS: I was selected only because of my skills alone not because of my college.

I am a Cyber Security Researcher and Architect with less than 1.5 years of experience. A lot of people underrate how many jobs you have to apply before you land a good one. I had to apply over 1100+ jobs to hear back from around 70-80 people and get around 25-30 interviews and 3 4 offers with I hedged against each other to get better offer. The whole process took a good 4 months and I 4 times my salary with exactly the same skills I had, sometimes you are undervalued and you don't even know until you ask. My suggestion to anyone who already has buildup the skill but isn't able to land a job or a gig, Put a sitcom on you tv and start rage applying on your phone or laptop... You got this!!
Hi, I have (or used to have) an interest in cybersecurity and since joining college to pursue an engineering degree in IT, I have lost passion towards everything and here I am with ALOT of backlogs and 0 motivation to do anything, however I am wondering of how you became a Cyber Security Researcher and Architect and can you give me any advice regarding on becoming a cybersecurity analyst or anything related?
@@xxxyyyyzzzzzzz if you are doing engineering you already have the basics done. I would suggest do certifications such as Comptia Security + and CYSA+ these are very vast and help you gain deep understanding. in order to be a Security Researcher you need to have a very good skills in OS, Networking, Osint, Assembly and even Reverse Engineering. its a long learning process so you don't have to rush at all. I am not gonna lie you have to really worship hard work to be a Security Researcher because motivation comes harly when you trying to understand a malware that's hacking half the world and you have no idea what it does, how it does and how can you save your ass from being hacked.
With 9years of experience, I have learned one key thing that is a golden rule to skill up, learn more, advance more and maybe get ahead, “Speak least among all people of your team and hear almost everyone in your office”. People love to share. More than love, I think the way world is right now, people are dying to talk out there. Need someone to listen to them while they just talk about anything. If u can become a good listener, believe me, everyone teaches u something genius.
Overall it comes down to "We don't need more engineers or doctors, we need more linemen, electricians, painters, plumbers, garbage collectors, sewage cleaners". Supply and demand fellas. How many of todays youth opt for these jobs?
@xynyde0 Honestly , Sewage cleaning should be mechanised most of the time. Our sewage system is rotten and we don't have enough sewage plants and end up polluting our environment, killing the people who clean it with disease exposure and disgust. 2) Two , Yes we need more of them . However the catch is however society looks down upon them and the wages really suck.
@@srilakshmidevanathan8334This. Cuz sewage cleaning jobs are actually dangerous as well, and there's never enough safety measures taken (you know how our country is with cost cutting). Today's youth opt out of these jobs because they are difficult and dangerous jobs with little pay. Who would into these jobs if they had the choice? Increase the pay, make those jobs safer, then I'll happily go into these jobs, alongside many others.
We need doctors and engineers as well, but the fact is we need quality not the bulk, that we're seeing right now.. Every kid in indian household want either an engg degree or a med degree... They've become VERY limited when it comes Research for a good career And they shouldn't overlook their passions
you think any Indian parent would allow that? I used to want to be an electrician as a kid but they would give the example of the person that would go house to house earning a meager wage

if there were more people who thinks like you then it would have been possible we are living with such a indian mentality people .they just can not se you good or you having a job or living happily their could be no unity we can try to change but this f***ked up society would not change even relatives are jealous of each other and their kids we are though taking about strangers.
IIT Passout in 2023 here. Finally landed job as a graphic designer beczo i wanted to make a career in arts and stuff and getting career started from graphic designing was the most accesible option. I made a lot of mistake applying for jobs in start and that always happens to everyone its a trial and error learning thing. But even when I got most things ie CV, linkedin profile right, it took me in total 1300+ applications over like 6-7 months of continuous applying and only experience being a design intern (which also took several hundred applications to land). In short, applying to job like theres no tomorrow helped me to finally land this one job. pay still isnt great but it is something. So thing for me which helped most in landing job was relentless applying to whatever form i see fit. Just by the sheer law of probability and statistics whatever i did land a job. Applying on jobs without prior experience is absolute nightmare. I really advice anyone who is reading this to take up multiple intern experiences as well that will help you A LOT in job landing. And Good Luck as well.

One of the challenges we face in pursuing this approach is explaining these factors to parents. Many older citizens (Gen X) tend to believe anything they hear from their neighborhood or anyone they’re in touch with. Convincing them as a child can be tough, they often perceive us as immature.

There's one more crucial aspect of education: research. If we solely focus on job placement, we neglect research and development (R&D). Let's consider this video: everyone might get a job initially, but eventually, demand and supply will stabilize, leading to a surplus of skilled workers and fewer jobs. Therefore, an education system that prioritizes R&D would be more beneficial. Secondly, while established career paths like video editor and software developer are valuable, our focus shouldn't be limited to them. People should be encouraged to build, not just software, but also hardware. Exploring platforms like Arduino and creating medical equipment with it any other things can foster these skills. Because of AI, In future we definitely need people who are skilled in hardware rather then software of any other creative field.
The minus point of this kind of education system is that everyone is not made to do R&D. An Education system like this will be a hell for students who don't want to a part of it. R&D should encourage a lot I agree but it should not be forced on students through the system. We already had some chapters in class 10th maths which no use for most of the population but very useful for those who persue engineering or scientific field. There is improvement in the system but the ones doing all the work should be praised not the higher ups. So whenever you see a great achievement, I want you to do some research and find the person behind this, and not give credit to company as a whole..

A few days back I gave a Govt entrance exam, and they asked me to put my bag away. As usual, I complied and then asked them where I could put my bag? They replied by saying "Kahi bhi rakho, bas yahan nahi". Sounds normal right? But what they actually meant was you are not allowed to put your bag anywhere in the college. You'll have to put it somewhere outside. I went there alone, I didn't know anyone there. And I was supposed to put my bag, purse, and phone in some random location. And it wasn't just for me all of the students had to face the same problem. After searching for a suitable place I found a shop where I kept my belongings. Some students put their bags with all their belongings under trees next to some closed coffee shops. I find it amusing how they can hold an examination in a college but can't even arrange for a safe place where we could put our belongings. I felt really humiliated that day. There even were some allegations that there are seats that are being sold also for the same entrance exam.
My guy, Dont lose motivation, Think, What's best for you, And do it, it's as simple as that, Just think were you are, and do what you think is best, everything work's out, there must be good, for bad, for good, for bad, and onwards

1. people are not made who are studying in iits after cracking jee adv, i will not talk about skill for now. 2. If a company is new then hiring iitians help to improve their name in market or getting funding. 3. people on top position are generally iitians so offcoruce they will prefer their college more, and iitans can get connection to land a job very easily like their senior's referal etc. You can't do that very easily as you are not iitan. 4. Comapny can use the connection or networks of these iitians in future if they needed. 5. And, IITs have option for internship in college. 6. And see if company is in critical condition or deadline, these iitians have mindset and harworking nature that helps the companies not to fuck up where they could have. 7. IITians are generally very good followers, they have followed their teacher during preparation time very hard and if you have opened your company then you just need some people who have experience in that sector and people who will follow that experienced man. 8. IItians are generally very versatile in nature as compared to any other college students, kisi bhi project me daal do. 9. Generally freshers don't have much to show in their portfolio, so if they use something like i'm from iit or iim etc helps you a lot 10. Its easier to manager them as do their work without much warnings, I think so. I have seen some meme or post in social media like hr wrting some warning to its employee that don;t use office internet to scroll instagram or to do time pass in office, i can deferentially say that employee might not iitian I have not talked about skills any where for now. Some company will easily hire this person despite he doesn't have any specific skill
A big issue is that a lot of science students don't even know that they have other options other than Engineering or Medicine . So many students are trapped in the cycle of JEE and NEET. I am pursuing BASLP( Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology) . When I mention this , the vast majority of people say they've never heard of it before. We need more awareness about different professions.

No matter how much re-valuation they do the number of seat is still limited. People should look for other avenue than just doctor/engineer. Let the exam be for only who really wants to be the doc/engineer. btw the solution mentioned in the video actually already exists in our education system, which is polytechnique and vocational training - they need to be revamped massively.
I’m a digital marketer. The only thing that landed me a job is my internships. Start doing internships while in college. I did 4 to 5 internships in 2 years and that helped me understand what i liked doing and also help me land a full time job after graduating.
This video hit me hard because I’ve been through something similar. I skipped college after my 10th boards and jumped straight into the job world. Taught myself graphic design and editing on UA-cam back in 2014 (when tutorials didn’t have flashy intros 😅). Fast forward, today I lead the social media team of an NGO and freelance as a motion graphics designer and video editor. What you said about skills > degrees is 100% true! The first job I landed was purely because of the work I’d put out there, not some fancy degree. If there’s one thing I’d tell every confused 17-24-year-old watching this, it’s this: Build a solid portfolio. Don’t just learn-show it. Thanks for making this video. It’s the real talk students need. 🔥
Great journey sir. I just have a few doubts. For a person who does not have a degree and who did not follow the conventional method , 1. How much security does your job provide ? 2. Is the pay enough to meet the wants (not needs) ? 3. What is the growth in your particular field like will a person without a degree can end up as a millionaire when retiring ?
I'm a graphic designer / video creator with about 3 years of experience. Everything in this video is spot on for my field! I'd like to add two things that helped me the most... First, leverage personal connections. If you have friends or family who run a small business, offer to work for them for free. They won't say no to that. You'll get something to put in your portfolio and a recommendation. Maybe they'll pay you a little if they have the finances, they'll pay you very well if you add actual value (unlikely for a beginner though). Remember, these people actually care about you... A small business would mean something like a beauty parlour, McDonald's franchise, even a tea stall! I'm guessing a lot of people know someone who runs a business like that. If you don't... Volunteer for a reputed non profit. If you're in college, get involved in organising fests. I feel these projects add more to a portfolio instead of just personal projects.
5:36 But some of this founders are not ready to give good salary, for example TCS gives 3.5 to 11 lpa to freshers .... how can you expect a skilled person to work from 3.5 lpa ? If they are not ready to give good salaries that they shouldn't expect people with good skills to join their firm
I myself prepared for neet and gave my 2nd attempt this year, was not selected due to High inflation in ranks😢. no worries, but my family is again saying give one more try but i dont have the guts to see one more failure. With no hopes left i have to prepare again for this. Ahh! When i look back and see what i have learnt in past 12 years of my school life ,i see nothing except a white canvas with zero colours 😢😢😢. But this year i talked my mother and said her ,"i want to learn new things, explore something except studies so i choose video editing and little bit of designing stuff" hope it goes well and i will upscale atleast 1 step towards my dream❤❤
Hey same situation here. Wrote CUET this year but didnt went quite good honestly. And now that there's a scam in NEET who knows what NTA will do with CUET. I'm confused to get a degree or focus on skills. So I just want to know on which skills are u targeting specifically? And are u planning to get a degree?

I want to share my story as well, i graduated from mechanical engineering in 2021 in peak covid. The hiring in core sectors was very limited. The projects I built in college and the skills i gained helped me standout and get a job in my desired field. I you love something that has the potential to be converted into a job and you just simply work towards it slowly and steadily you'll reach your goal.
Anyone who wants to be a video editor, please make a portfolio. I have 5 years of experience in video editing but I still struggle a lot to land clients because I was dependent on someone else who used to bring me clients and I never bothered to make a portfolio. A silly mistake. Now I have the skills but no portfolio. (btw i am making a portfolio now)
Very good advice. None of what I learnt in college helped me when getting my first job, the degree just qualified me to walk into the office to be interviewed. Most of the knowledge which helped me was earned through my internship and part-time work experience during college.
Stumbling across a video of your channel happens to be few of the good things the UA-cam algorithm has done for me. The topics and content quality is what forcing me to comment on your video. Here's my story: I come with an experience of 8 years working in IT sector, started from middle class and the only motivation I had was to get rid of financial problems my family had (didn't think of myself ever). Once the problems were over and my family was stable that was when I started getting into depression because the motivation was over, there was nothing to look for in my life, same old job and that was the point I realized that what I was doing was not even in my "Like" list forget about Passion. After struggling with my job for a few more years, I resigned to introspect myself and that is when I realized Data Analytics and Video editing were my favourites alongside writing, tried all of them and yet to receive any outcome (not receiving an outcome is not a bad thing) but now I know which path I wanna take. Thankfully, I saw another video of AevyTV where they discussed about Aeos and what they've been teaching to new students. In the end, there's one thing I want everyone who's starting in their career to know, "It doesn't come easy". I had to attend 11 interviews (all walk ins, traveling in buses, literally walking Kilometres) before getting my first job. There's only thing that will help you out "Never give up", understand/know yourself, what you want, what you're good at and all this will take time.
I joined a corporate company working full time as soon as I turned 18th (after completing my 12th ) , just because i wanted to check the whether i have the potential to get employed/make money with the skills and knowledge that i aquired over so many years in my school life .
I work as a senior visual designer. I did engineering and realised that it is not my jam. I was always into art, so I wanted to do something about it. I made a portfolio to apply to NID, I didn't get through, but the portfolio was good enough to get a job. The projects I worked on at my first job actually helped me get through to NID for my masters. Education from a reputed institution is valuable. Education in a field that actually interests you in gold! My design journey is one of job first and then education.
Really this is serious, because people like me im doing masters, then might do B.ed but seriously I don't know what to do next and by background is not science I'm a student of Art's because teacher is not a healthy choice anymore, i mean there's no place for new one so im worried now .
What you are talking, teacher is best job if you have passion for teaching, and it is irreplaceable even when AI will come because Teachers role is not just about teaching subject but guiding students and motivating them to do better , AI will not able to do that anytime soon in future .
The role of teacher is to guide and motivate others but most teacher in our country is themselves not motivated they became teacher because simply they didn't know what to do next and continually stacking a bundle of degrees, from graduation to masters to PhD to Mphil or in some case teacher training BEd ,MEd but they didn't did it because they wanted to be teacher/professor they just are directionless.
I'm in the same boat, bro. Doing Masters in Literature right now. At first the idea of becoming a professor was good since it's the safest with this degree. But when I stopped to think about how every single day of my life will go, for years, instead of the ease of work, I had to give that up. I'll be looking for other options too. Best of luck :)
nowadays a teacher's vacancies are more. You don't have to teach only in school or coaching classes . You can also teach in MOOCs or sites like unacademy or Byjus or other sites provably.
Very nice video What I did was I put in tech skills on my CV and learned about them from UA-cam and other free online materials and I understood what companies are looking for. There are a lot of companies which still says you must be a graduate but I know a lady who studied arts but got a job worth 12LPA at concentrix for SCCM admin and she learned everything about the software from microsoft sites and youtube. So please focus on the skill that companies require because they dont care how educated are you they just care on how much money you are making them or saving them. Yeah you can get a job which pays more than what they are offering to IIT graduates and only you just need to know about tools and processes they use in their company. I started from Tech support and became a admin and then got recognized as a cloud engineer and now I earn 15LPA. So build your network from LinkedIn and other platforms and you would definately get a good job. But if you want to be super rich and powerful you need a business or you need to go into politics or you can also try becoming a gangster and then you will become a millionaire in no time.
I got my first job by having a simple conversation with the hiring person. Also, a tip to freshers, just connect with placement companies not indeed or LinkedIn, just a local hiring company and they will help you share the details of hiring companies. Don't just rely on online job interviews, just show up on a walk in and grab the opportunity. All the best folks.❤
I think home schooling and similar pattern for higher studies should be implemented. Where student will only give university exams and only pay exam fees. I think upcoming generations will avoid higher studies because of job market.
Really shit idea. How is homeschooling the answer instead of a re-evaluation in the way of teaching and exam systems . Would you send your child for homeschooling or have you undergone homeschooling, in which case atleast explain how that works??
@@euphoria-1045 1> today even if student is admitted to a college/school, they do have tuitions outside. They are spending x2 times time learning the same thing. The reason why our youth is jobless is beacause our education system gives us degree for being in schools colleges for 20 years straight but it doesn't give u skills and skills are crusical for getting jobs I think india needs. A rebbelion
got my first client when i started learning Video editing, i didnt even had a portfolio just had to give a basic test and i was in, after that i landed a job about 2 years later as a graphic designer, it took me 3 months to get this job and applying in every job i could see, at that moment i had learned Premier pro, illustrator and basics of graphic design, and i am still working there. Be good at what you do and enjoy it, a lot of people do it just because of the sake of it, do it because you love it. (i dont have a degree)
Lol common starting point is an absolute illusion. There will never ever be a fair ground for these things ever. Reservation is only helping people from lower community get a chance at things. Taking reservation away wont solve anything.
Okay, so founders are complaining that they can't find talent. But are they willing to hire talent that does not have a college degree? Can they? At some point, people have to understand that college is a value subtracting proposition
Same here bro, pcb student, dropped neet for 1 year, failed, learnt video editing from Aevy, now a video editor at MartyMartin studios and studying BCA from Manipal online
I dropped out a year ago after making $100 through freelancing. Didn't gave my 12th exam. A year later, I'll be making my first 1 lakh/month in this month. Praise be to God for everything.
You say the talents aren't skilled enough but who is responsible for that. Every firm use different software, different techniques and expecting us to know all of it is insane. And we are not even taught what's necessary of our job and live ahead anyways, I am a btech grad and what I have heard all through my 4yr degree is how btech is a steppingstone towards a lot of other careers, then my biggest question is what about engineering? You are too proud of how it'll help people get to a different field you stopped realizing how btech is a course of engineering. This is especially the case with btech, but there are a lot more courses like this. The education system is BS, it's ancient, it's flawed and more importantly it's freaking corrupt. No one wanna change it and no one wanna make an effort of the next generation.
Hi brother I don't know why are you so frustrated about job market but also realise that these are corporate companies which are actually only for profit because of people like you the world is actually becoming a better place😊 our whole idea of our life should be to help others make a living while trying to make a living for ourselves to I would really motivate you to become a entrepreneur because I think you have the ability to make company
No there are no jobs and if there is vacancy HRs dont know how to hire they are lazy and hire through referrals. For someone who is skilled but dont have many friends and no connection its not so easy to find jobs.
The thing is, engineering from a IIT or NIT etc is a security. My elder brother who is a passout from IIT Roorkee stresses on the fact that if you are confused and have no clue the best thing to do right now is engineering(from a decent college) most of the students don't even end up grabbing a engineering role in a company but a good college is where you'd have like minded people and the resources for extracurriculars clubs allowing you to explore other fields while getting immense security. If you think you can, get into a tier-1/good college then do whatever miss achina siggested us to, if you can't then start it right away.
But think about it, 14L students write JEE every year, and a large part of them get into terrible engineering colleges. The best option for them right now is to pick up a skill that’ll get them a job regardless of them getting the degree or not. This skill will help them land a job where they can finally meet some like minded people and hence build a network..
It’s an exciting take on solving this issue. You need to look at getting the job part because these job boards contain “phantom” listings. So, demand is truly exaggerated. There are a variety of reasons for this, but there surely is not that much demand.
What all founders get it wrong is believing that right talent somehow exists and all they have to do is pick the best apples. Right talent doesn't grow on trees. No amount of education helps to grow talent. Talent and skills can only be built by companies because each company has its specific needs. Internships help both students and companies to bridge the gap. Students win experience and build skill sets and companies spend minimal amount and train the next generation. This should be comprehensive and not a simple 3 month routine. It should be longer than a year and if possible spread out through out the degree program. Also students need to stop waiting for campus placements and start searching for companies and applying for jobs on their own. Most students don't even know how to prepare a proper CV and write a cover letter. So students have to search and self motivate to find the right company.
Animation advice: Okay so anyone who wants ro learn animation i.e 3d character animation, 2d animation and anime too; you can do that. But keep in mind that everything you want is available online but just enough to cross you the beginner mark. You can take courses but most are capped at moderate level. No one teaches advanced stuff. Which is okay because it needs your practice to make you advanced. Who am I to tell you anything? Well I'm a guy who's in this for over 2 years now. And still don't have a job. Partially because the job industry for animation is not that good in India right now, but mainly because I'm not skilled enough. Yeah. I spent most of my time in learning how to make anime in blender and mix 3d with 2d. I even wrote a whole movie script. But these are the things that can make learning one skill extremely difficult and time consuming. So yeah i know a lot of things but not enough in one thing to get a job. So finally don't get into this being only passionate, look for the whole picture first. Then if you get into this focus on only learning the skills. Don't try to make a whole movie from the start it waste a whole lot of time. Then after learning blender jump into autodesk maya too. Because studios demand this.

Agree completely with showing work. I love electronics and picked my stream because I was genuinely interested. But I couldn't crack exams that were designed around memorising. So I don't have good grades from my undergrad. But like I said, I was interested in electronics. So I worked on projects, wrote blog posts with tutorials on how to build these. I put code I wrote on github. On my resume, my projects were on page 1. My low grades were on page 2. I don't remember any interviewer looking beyond my project work. Having said that, there's a big difference between not mugging things and being strong in fundamentals. When I was about to graduate, 3 idiots came out and it really made me antagonize the hard work needed to build a good foundation. I focussed only on the practical. There's a balance needed. Having strong fundamentals is not the same as mugging up a set of facts. It's understanding the basics as if they were second nature.

Gold mine of a video right here, our society is so persistent on getting that engineering or medical job while ignoring vast majority of jobs that have way less competition and higher pay, thank you for re-opening our eyes to the current trend of jobs
we do realise that... people appearing for NEET PG/UGC NET, the cancelled exams,... are going for academia? that they're not working their ass off to be graphic designer or AI Engineer or copywriter...? what in the red herring. people have spent years mastering their subject. why would someone with the goal of, say, being a doctor or a professor or researcher suddenly leave it all to pursue a certificate course on unrelated things? weird way to tackle the issue at hand.
Okay, I'm not a big shot here. But I did get some jobs good enough to pay the bills without having a college degree to boot. Early on during my college days (I dropped out later on), I used typing software to make sure that my typing speed is good enough. Moreover, I used to read a lot of books, and watched a lot of movies, which helped me with my English. This ultimately led me towards my first job, which simply required me to write English subtitles for Hindi shows. A place where I could use both the skills. After that, I read this book called Letting Go of Words to learn the ins and outs of Content Writing, and based on the knowledge, applied at a SME, where I was first hired as a Content Writer, and was immediately promoted to a Content Editor (there's this book called The Elements of Style that helped me in better understanding that role). I simply wanted a job that helps paying the bills and that's not taxing enough, so that I can comfortably work on my passion (of writing novel). Lastly, there's this letter exchanging app called Slowly that has greatly helped me with my writing, and is also very fun to use.
@@Lia_365 I used to make around 28-35k back in 2018-19, before I moved back with my family and started working on my book (which I just finished last week YIPPEEEE!). I know it isn’t much, but all I needed was a job where I didn’t have to apply myself too much, and this one fit the bill pretty well. Plus they paid me for the work instead of the hours. So I could always finish my work quick and leave early.
@@aadityabalouria I wanna do something like that only (I'm currently in 11th grade btw) but my parents stress on getting a collage degree or a govt. job because they want to ensure my security which I think they are not wrong in the first place as govt. jobs help provide with health care schemes and many other benefits which are difficult to fulfil while working in fits and starts.
@@Lia_365 That’s great to know. Your parents have your best interests in mind. In India, having a government job is probably the most sure shot way of ensuring a stable future. The only problem with that is the competition. In case you have been extremely competitive, you might crack them. And if you think you can do it, I do suggest giving it a try. I personally worked in the unorganized private sector which didn’t have that many benefits honestly, and I knew I couldn’t raise a family on that. Although I could do that if I let go of my comfort zone, learnt new skills, improved on the previous one, made a nice portfolio and consistently looked for a better job. Anyways, if you want to get to a point where you can get such a job/jobs as a backup, I can give you two advices from my own experience: 1. Develop a Skill: Having a skill that you are good at, and that’s in high demand in the market gives you an insane bargaining power, provided that you are able to convince people that you have it (working on your portfolio after learning the skill might help with that). It’s because otherwise they have to train people which isn’t just expensive, but also involves a high degree of uncertainty. Using the skill as a leeway you can get on the bargaining table about everything from the pay to working hours to even the tasks that you would like to do. While choosing this skill, you can go the ikigai way. Go for something that you are good at, that you like doing, that you can make money from, and that’s in demand right now. You can start with something small, be it typing, design, writing, excel, a programming language etcetera , and very slowly and comfortably work your way up and maybe get into Data analytics, UX Design, project management, etcetera. 2. Don’t Hesitate to Start Small: Unfortunately, in India the job market is so greatly disconnected from the education system that it’s insane. They are like two different worlds altogether. So once you are done with your 12th my suggestion would be to try to get a job or internship for the time between 12th and college, even if it is for peanuts. It’ll probably help you in getting a better perspective on the difference between what you are taught in school/college and what you would be supposed to do ultimately, and would help in making more practical decisions in the future.

What actually matters is who you know too and how much money ur dad got

I made a lot of mistake applying for jobs in start and that always happens to everyone its a trial and error learning thing. But even when I got most things ie CV, linkedin profile right, it took me in total 1300+ applications over like 6-7 months of continuous applying and only experience being a design intern (which also took several hundred applications to land). In short, applying to job like theres no tomorrow helped me to finally land this one job. pay still isnt great but it is something. So thing for me which helped most in landing job was relentless applying to whatever form i see fit. Just by the sheer law of probability and statistics whatever i did land a job.

1. people are not made who are studying in iits after cracking jee adv, i will not talk about skill for now.
9. Generally freshers don't have much to show in their portfolio, so if they use something like i'm from iit or iim etc helps you a lot
10. Its easier to manager them as do their work without much warnings, I think so. I have seen some meme or post in social media like hr wrting some warning to its employee that don;t use office internet to scroll instagram or to do time pass in office, i can deferentially say that employee might not iitian
I have not talked about skills any where for now. Some company will easily hire this person despite he doesn't have any specific skill

I’m a digital marketer. The only thing that landed me a job is my internships. Start doing internships while in college. I did 4 to 5 internships in 2 years and that helped me understand what i liked doing and also help me land a full time job after graduating.
From where u did interships?
Online or offline
For a person who does not have a degree and who did not follow the conventional method ,

Here's my story:
I come with an experience of 8 years working in IT sector, started from middle class and the only motivation I had was to get rid of financial problems my family had (didn't think of myself ever).
So how it's going?

You don't have to teach only in school or coaching classes
. You can also teach in MOOCs or sites like unacademy or Byjus or other sites provably.
probably also contribute in developing educational technologies too for schools or author

Very nice video
What I did was I put in tech skills on my CV and learned about them from UA-cam and other free online materials and I understood what companies are looking for.

Really shit idea. How is homeschooling the answer instead of a re-evaluation in the way of teaching and exam systems . Would you send your child for homeschooling or have you undergone homeschooling, in which case atleast explain how that works??
@@euphoria-1045
1> today even if student is admitted to a college/school, they do have tuitions outside. They are spending x2 times time learning the same thing.
Homeschooling will reduce that.
2> it will create competitive environment for college and teachers to get better. If college school teaches well then only they will get money.
3> if degree from homeschooling gets equivalent recognition from society then yes I would homeschool my child.
4> you will save lot of money that goes into these big institutions pocket in the name of so called learning.
5> student can use online study materials which are available for free.
Cons-
As competition increase, good teachers will hike up their rates. Which can cause problem for financially poor students.

That's a good one , where everyone talks about the problem you guys started by solutions ... Extraordinary . 👍👍👍
@@aevytvYes, risk appetite of Indians is the least. We all want a dream job, but don't have any dreams of offering job to people
Yes at least engineering is better than studying bsc, with bsc msc you end up nowhere
Best video ever... literally....this channel deserves a lot
Animation advice:
Okay so anyone who wants ro learn animation i.e 3d character animation, 2d animation and anime too; you can do that.
I am in 11th I was built a voting software for SST and sent it to Manmeet Singh (program director) of SST. After watching this video I got the confidence that I am doing right. #Aevy TV
Get into any college and do the easiest degree you can. On the side learn video editing skills/ other skills in demand. Build a portfolio- think how do I sell myself? Get the degree and 3 years of work ex. Work on your communication skills. Find people (millennials are best because they are the ones making hiring decisions now) make connections and get advice on how to prep for interviews and negotiate a salary. Apply for jobs in industry of your work ex. Get a job. Stay there for 2 years. You’re set.
Have a great professional social media presence. AI can help you set everything up.. UA-cam can teach you anything.
You just need to get a degree… no one checks your marks. Never go for a masters without working in some field after bachelors
Thanks
You're doing really great sister you're picking amazing topics and the way you're making us understand is really amazing looking for forward to your next video keep it up.
But didi I'm a 11th jee aspirant who is going to school everyday and have some knowledge in editing that i learned during my holidays...as u see I didn't have time to learn any skills After 8 hrs of school...jee preparation..that itself sucking my full lenergy ... societal pressure.... parents expectations are killing me...I can't even explain how this society goes..if I talk about skills matrix I tamed to be pagal....what should I dooooooo😢❤
- Have been trying fr Product Management since 6 months.
-I have a portfolio too that’s been analysed by highly experienced PMs saying they are more than good for me to enter the role.
- Not getting even a single email reply.
- Founders n HRs don’t reply. Even I submit an assignment I get ghosted when I ask for the outcome.
Idk who is your advice working for…
Is this you only or ppl after learning other skills will end up like you?
@@Sahil_9192 Fortunately, I got a job. But not via any of the advise she gave.
But I know 25 others who are still struggling.
I wish i had discovered this channel earlier, after watching few videos i feel like i should pay first and then watch. Its that level of goodness, everything seems flawless keep uploading such content
Aevy is the vibe
Gold mine of a video right here, our society is so persistent on getting that engineering or medical job while ignoring vast majority of jobs that have way less competition and higher pay, thank you for re-opening our eyes to the current trend of jobs
Even if there are jobs look at the pay ....in most instances it's better to be home rather than working
Honestly, this is one of the most informative channels so far..
2:58 : 1.4 means 1 crore 40 lakhs
Yep...1.04 then 1 crore and 4 lakhs
Amazing video!
Y'all deserve more than a million subs
we do realise that... people appearing for NEET PG/UGC NET, the cancelled exams,... are going for academia? that they're not working their ass off to be graphic designer or AI Engineer or copywriter...? what in the red herring. people have spent years mastering their subject. why would someone with the goal of, say, being a doctor or a professor or researcher suddenly leave it all to pursue a certificate course on unrelated things? weird way to tackle the issue at hand.
thank you so much for this amazing video!! Love this content :DDD
Lastly, there's this letter exchanging app called Slowly that has greatly helped me with my writing, and is also very fun to use.
so like how much have you made or are making rn with it?
Anyways, if you want to get to a point where you can get such a job/jobs as a backup, I can give you two advices from my own experience:
