Worcester Bosch 24i Gas boiler Heat exchanger gone and ridged causing slow leak

Worcester Bosch 24i Gas boiler Heat exchanger gone and ridged causing slow leak over a few weeks would loose pressure. needed topping up to getvthe central heating working. the hot water always worked though. 6 years old with apparently a common problem.

Hi. Did they repair it under warranty or was it chargeable ?

Hello, no not under warranty unfortunately as I didnt have 6 yearly services. However I signed up for a 6 month care plan which was cheaper than the part. Then it was free and warranty work starts from there. So I have carried on with the plan ascits was good deal for an ageing boiler.

No excuses if it's been looked after properly all boilers should be service once a year.

10yr warranty on the primary heat exchanger even if the boiler warranty has expired.
