- This version of the all-star Australian band with the ever-changing line-up features founding member Paul Christie (Mondo Rock) along with Shirley Strachan (Skyhooks), Kevin Borich, Rob Riley (Rose Tattoo etc) and usually included Buzz Bidstrup on drums, though not for this performance.
The song appeared on the Party Boys album 'No Song Too Sacred' in 1984; this clip is from Tonight With Bert Newton, August 7 1984.

Classic stuff never knew this clip was around, and would be great to my hands on a copy of that album, somehow I missed that one back then, mind you I was only 20 and spending most of my doe done at the pub every day.

Party Boys Rock >>
This was a great concept band. This line up with Shirl did some other good tracks, Immigrant song and Walking on the moon, Shirl sounds similar to Robert Plant.
If only shirl had heeded the warning signs of the weather forecast that fateful day
The Party Boys had some great line-ups, but they were never funnier than when Shirl was up the front!
Matt Wenban on Drums
I guess Shirley got his wish. My generation is dying off, fuck it !
Awesome! Never knew this existed... what TV show is this performance from?
The great Graham "Shirley" Strachan on vocals. Not sure about the necktie though!!
