If i'm not mistaken, in POE1 more arrows makes the RoA radius larger, thus likely not increasing the amount of times a single target would get hit ? We'd need to see how much of an effect conc effect has on the skill.
i can DM you the fextralife vid if youd like to see it though i warn you it isnt impresive at all, also rewatching some ranger playthrough rain of arrows -arrows- contantly fall in a trickled down style not instantly, it seems more projectiles adds more duration to the aoe of falling arrows if that makes sense, chucking in some slowing somewhere could be a good idea, maybe attack speed or proj speed decrease the time it takes for all the arrows to hit the ground

Deadeye is really flexible which is why I'm leaning towards it. You can play bows, grenades or crossbows. It's probably better then merc for grenades Because of +1 proj

I don't think so in this case, Freezing Salvo has no cooldown, it passively accumulates shards, and you can activate it at any time to release the current shards, so you just need to wait 7.2s to get the max number of shards
Tbh, I was thinking about doing a Ranger, but I'm concerned about survivability. Poe 2 will be a much more punishing game, and my experience from PoE 1 is that chars that base their defences on evasion have a pretty rough time surviving. Still not decided what to do first
WIth the ability to evade spells and Wind Ward, Deadeye will be pretty tanky. If you can manually dodge all AoE abilities in bossfights (which is what all classes will have to do) you will never die.

Players just don't know how to build around evasion. If you do you're quite tanky. Lots of options in POE1 - phys taken as, ghost shrouds, lethe shade, ailment immunity, high life pool, regen, leech, max res, cwdt, phasing, move speed, suppression, etc. The basic idea is to be able to tank the hit you eventually take and recover quickly. Keep in mind evasion covers spells as well in POE2.
the only problem is if the cast time increses with the amount of arrows shot. if that increses you will probably be in animation lock for a couple of seconds
We already know you can move while firing attack skills in PoE 2, and Pathfinder can move while attacking without a movement speed penalty. Shouldn't be a huge problem if it's the case
