What I like about path of exile two is that these builds are something that pretty much anyone can build if they just focus they don’t have to do trade wars to get ridiculous currency in order to afford to play the build
Every build using Cast on X was heavy nerfed so keep that in mind. I think it will mostly affect regular clears - this build will still be very good vs rares and bosses.

Are those Crit bonus on full life nodes actually doing anything? You cast lightning orb and lightning warp right underneath a boss prior to dropping a conduit. Wouldn't that immediately invalidate all of those nodes?
Naice im using similar set up but I Use the tree dragons helmet to freeze it works just fine, and I get to scale lighning dmg still, not sure how much dmg im loosing on comet but theoreticall i can ignite with comet doing some more ignite dmg to counter that Sadly we dont count as having shocked recently since shocked ground does not aplly shock from us but from floor. :D Other wise the elemental dmg if added X ailment recently wheel on right side would be very poerful for this
Why not use cast on shock instead? Is it really worth it to convert all the damage to cold just for the comet and if so you can still do it but use cast on shock instead its a lot easier to apply shock and since you consume it you can just apply it again
I’ll give my opinion as a mage player… freeze is almost a requirement for mage right now. Full Energy shield items= zero evasion or armor. if you get touched, you will die within a 1-2 second window. Freeze gives that padding where you’re able to dive into packs and know you’re safe. I can’t imagine you have that same level of security where you’re able to dive into packs carelessly without it.
@andreandrre2183 to be honest i did theory craft a build but its different than this one cast on shock for lightning conduit and gonna see if its worth picking comet or support for it i have been in cruel act 2 for 2-3 days now just been busy with work but i dont know how maps feel in poe 2 i cant really answer this without testing myself
@Noah-go8xc are you speaking from map experience? Cuz energy shield is really bad early but again i have to try it myself once i finish work tommorow im gonna try to finish act 3 cruel (almost done with 2) and get into maps once i get enough materials i wanna test the build i have in mind
The dmg conversion has nothing to do with comet, comet has build-in spell dmg which is a lot already. He convert his lightning dmg to cold for the freeze as a defense layer because majority of lightning spell sorcerer has problem of monsters running up to their face.

New player here. How come Lightning Warp applies freeze. I get you have the ring, but if damage is converted to cold, how does it freeze AND shock? A bit confused on that
The ring converts the damage of the explosion to deal frost damage which can inherently freeze, but i believe what's happening is that it still creates the "shocked ground" part and it's not affected by freeze, from my understanding so far ground types (IE: frost ground/shocked ground) are not affected by elemental conversions as they are not damaging effects, they are just ground effects that apply their associated ailments (frost ground for example always chills) so again my educated guess is that the lightning explosion DOES cold damage which applies cold-related ailments but also leaves shocked ground which shocks

This is exactly the kind of build I was looking for but instead of going for all the conversions to frost I want to keep it lightning and ideally use Arc as the spammable with Cast on Shock Lightning Conduit. Would something like that be feasible?
Weapon swap is automated, you don't have to press anything for it to work. His mapping gameplay looks like: Cast ball lightning -> cast lightning warp on a ball lightning near an enemy. That's it.

im trying to figured out if i could replicate the single target dmg from comets by using weapon swap skill tree mechanic to allocate 24 different points to boost single target dps while still play my ci es spark manastacker archmage on main hand
Looking at your rings, are the prismatic only there for resist? if so you should hit it with some Chaos, lightning dmg to attacks does nothing for your spells, and neither does the leech.
will this still reach similar clear capabilities shown with pure electric damage, without the ring? Perhaps use three head dragon helm so shock dmg can freeze?
I've just tried it and it seems to work, i've used cast on freeze with comet and spammed spark. It freezes every mob around and then spawns comets, there's little bit of mana issues but there's potential in dmg, I wasn't even specced for cold dmg (everything to elec)
they changed how conversion works from PoE to PoE 2, you can no longer scale the original source then scale it again after conversion, so any % increases to ES would only apply to energy shield that is protecting your health bar and not if it's converted to mana
Where do you get enough spirit for archmage and elemental invocation from? So far I’ve seen 46 on your armour, but don’t we need 160 for archmage and elemental invocation on bosses?
in act 3 you barely get level 11 gems. to play this build it will be in act 1 end or 2 middle cruel probably. so this build for for the end of the campaign and after. not for most fo the campaing.
@@aMarshall_people who are used to Diablo 4 are having a hard time bcs Diablo is very easy even if you don’t know what you are doing bcs the skills level the attacks itself when you level up but POE2 is pretty much you a total control so that’s why Diablo players are struggling and often quitting

sure, cast on freeze is basically dead for mob clearing right now. you only generate 10 energy per freeze instead of 100!

You can use Cast on Shock but it is much slower and not as safe as Freeze. I highly recommend waiting until you have the unique ring.

It only works if you can cast the lightning warps before the boss becomes attackable.

How viable is this if you pivot away from COTB? There are unique gloves that let you stun with lightning way easier as well.

Pretty much. The build can be played with cast on shock but it's not as fast or safe compared to Freeze.

You need the unique ring for Cast on Freeze, or you can play with just Lightning Warp and Ball Lightning.
Do overcharge work with lightning warp? As i thought the shock is created from shocking ground not directly from the skill
It does increase the shock magnitude from the shocking ground effect.

Is energy shield max nodes worth to get more mana?
You only get more mana from [+] Energy Shield values. [%] values do not increase the conversion from Eldritch Battery.
