my man said the blue color is too much for him while wearing the same coloured turban! just saying.
😂
But he's wearing a black Hoodie! 😉👍 Great information!
he couldnt see it without mirror lol
Ummm, he didn't mean the color itself. He was describing seeing a brightly colored border, which is distracting while reading.
The Kindle Scribe is so worth it. Some books, like comics for example, don’t allow for larger text. The big screen changes everything. I actually upgraded from an Oasis (which I still love) to a Scribe because it makes it much easier to read Chinese and Japanese text that isn’t adjustable. I’m 47. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.
The best review I’ve seen. Very thorough and to the point. Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
I bought the oasis in October last year. I love it. Love the size and buttons. I only read about 30 minutes a day so the battery life hasnt been an issue for me at all, especially due to using it on the lowest brightness setting.
I got the kindle scribe to replace the Kindle DX I have had for about 10 years. What an upgrade. Fast, and larger at 10.2 inches over the 9.7 inches. Books with illustrations, newspapers, pdfs, and comics are awesome to read on this device. It flies faster than the crazy quick kindle paperwhite signature edition.
Got here looking for information about the kindle paperwhite signature edition. Very complete video, straight to the point and also I appreciated the info about the scribe edition. Great job!!!!
Thanks for a timely and thorough overview of the Kindle versions.
I've had the Kindle 11 Gen since 2021 and I'm really happy with it. Since December 2022 I also have the basic in blue. Since then I've been using the PW at home and the Basic on the go, since it's a lot more compact. I actually wanted an Oasis but it doesn't have a USB C yet. A nogo for me.
I bought the Kindle Basic on Black Friday 2021 for $50. I got it in white. Six months later I bought the Kindle Signature edition. Personally, I like the smaller basic version overall because it is smaller. Sometimes I wish it had buttons I could push to turn the page because I’m having to constantly pick up my hand and turn the page but I guess you do that with a regular book anyway. I really enjoy it and it’s easy to stick in my purse.
You can get a page turner! :)
I don't have a purse.
@@jimblack8027then buy one?
Great video my friend. It helped me a lot to decide about upgrading my 6th generation paperwhite kindle. I’ll got for the paperwhite signature because of the auto light adjustment. It has a nice discount currently. Thanks for making this video.
i've been binge watching all your videos! and traded in my kindle basic 2018 for a paperwhite it was such a steal !
Exactly what I was looking for, straight to the point, short and helpful. Thank you !
Sooo useful, i really appreciate you doing these vids ❤
Got to the point quickly and the way the video is structured is incredible. thank you
just the video i needed! looking to get my first e-reader and this was very helpful and thorough and clear. Thanks!
Not sure if this still works but when I got my kindle a few years ago I contacted Amazon support through chat and had them remove the ads from my device for free, so it's at least worth trying.
Having to pay $20 to remove ads from a device I paid nearly $100 for is stupid lol
I bought my first in 2017 and now looking for a new one. Thank you!
interesting point about kindle kids, didn't hear it elsewhere. also like how you detail each model . good video style. thanks so much! good job!
Your the best youtuber. You helped me make my choice. I'm thinking of getting thr 11th gen paperwhite because I'm a bookworm and will need to take it EVRRYWHERE. So the waterproof option will be very good.
Great video!! but I just recently bought the paperwhite 5, and I think I’m starting to regret not getting the new basic 🥲 I realized I don’t personally like the flushed screen, and the warm light (idk if it’s just my unit) has a pinkish tint so not liking that too. Might just sell this and buy the basic 😂
thank you so much for this review. I have been looking everywhere and trying to figure out which Kindle and I believe I have figured it out since I watched your video.
Outstanding reviews and comparisons. Thank you!
Thank you for such an independent review!! I ordered the Paperwhite 😊
Thanks for the great video. Covered everything so well. 🎉
This is super helpful! Thank you!
Watching in London thankyou so much fair reviews brov oh & happy new year 🎉😊
I bought my kindle paperwhite in May 2017 (generation 7 i think, the white one), and I will have a kindle in my life as long as I breath lol
I read more often thanks to it. I still REALLY love physical books, but since I am afraid to damage them, I keep the paper version at home, and take the ebook version with me everywhere lol
I just wish to see another white kindle paperwhite in the future ♥
Planning to buy one. Thank you for sharing this! Big help.
The Signature edition is currently on sale 🎉 I just purchased mine. This will be my first Kindle. I’ve been binge watching your channel since I ordered it.
You will love it! :) I purchased the Signature too and it replaces my old Kindle Oasis now.
Awesome video! I appreciate your time and knowledge 😊
I bought my first e reader a couple of days ago. I got the signature edition, partly because I do tend to buy a lot of text books and and other historical and academic work as well as all the novels I go through. Love this thing. I read a lot and and the adjustable light features are very useful and easy on the eyes.
It came bundled with the wifi charger and fabric cover. I am very glad I could get this device. I may die with it in my hands.
I just want to say thank you so much. My wife has been reading so much. She got the kindle unlimited and uses her phone and our IPad Pro but the phone is to small and the iPad is to big. I think this will be perfect for her. I think I might get the signature one.
thank you very much for the comparison!! it was such a big help for me in deciding which kindle to buy :)
Thank you! Excellent reviews here! Now, off to buy a Basic :)
As usual, a great review! I’m “boujee” so now I know what I want.😊
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks.
Thank you for your very helpful video. Wishing you all the best!
This video was super helpful - thank you!!
Very useful comparison, thank you! I go for the Paperwhite 🙏
Great video mate, keep up the good work!
Great comparison video!! Thank you
Appreciate you. Fast n easy video
Great presentation! Thank you!
Great video, really grateful for it and for you 👍🏻
So helpful thank you!
One important advantage of the Kindle Scribe…
( and often missed in reviews) is the much larger escreen. Many older readers, as well as those with visual challenges, will benefit regardless of the note taking function.
I wish they would make one w/o the writing ability. 10" reader would be great.
ipad pro 12.9. Hoping the 'notebook' functionality will appear on the kindle/iPad app.
What about for people who have a vision loss and want to increase the size of the font wouldn’t a 10 inch screen fit more text?
@@JimzAuto I love my iPad Pro (also 12.9”) for any reading hat is mostly during the day. Right before bed or when my eye strain is bad (my eyesight is horrid enough already) I still love my older Paper White. I can read with a rather low brightness, can read outside in the glaring sunlight and no trouble (cannot read almost anything on the iPad if I’m outside esp. in summer -___-)
Also, it’s heavy. Granted, my weirs are weak as anything and I much rather would use (if my nephew hadn’t broken it) the older iPad Pro 10.5”
I doubt I’ll be buying another kindle any time soon/. Between the iPad and Paper White///yeah.
Great video, very informative and to the point, it helped me to choose the right model. Thank you.
Thank you. Very useful, clear, concise review. Looking forward to getting my new kindle. Cheers!
Thank you Ji, your voice is very friendly.
Great review
Bought my second oasis recently, wanting that warm light for nighttime reading and on flights.
I still rock a kindle keyboard though.
I keep the kindle keyboard next to my bed
An oasis (2016 - no warm light and with the fancy battery case) downstairs
And an oasis (2019) in my suitcase as I travel a lot for work.
All 3 with 3G/LTE as they've been bought over time and its proven itself way too useful when out and about travelling.
I did consider replacing the keyboard with a kindle paperwhite as its now really only used in the home but the keyboard still works despite me getting it back in 2011.
Great video. I already own a Kindle Oasis (32GB) (I also bought it in 2020), but I just wanted to watch this to make sure I made the right decision. I suppose that I am one of the bougie bookworms. ^^
I read every single day. But it’s usually at night when I go to bed and turn off the lights. That’s what puts me to sleep. Most nights I’ll only get to read a few pages but the occasional nights when I have a tough time getting to sleep, I’ll read quite a bit. I’ve owned Kindles since 2010. Right now I have the Oasis.
Outstanding and professional video, many thanks !
I've been watching your videos ever since I'm in the market to buy new ereader because my 2018 Paperwhite felt a little dated.
I bought georgious white Kobo Libra 2 with red origami cover. But after reading a couple of titles on the Kobo I switched back to reading on my old kindle because it was simply light and portable and i wouldn't worry much if it's tossed around and breaking.
At my home I read on my Kobo and on the go I grab my Kindle.
Recently I decided to buy new Kindle basic just for it's size and weight but Kindle Paperwhite kids was on sale and just 5 dollars more from the basic version so I ordered it.
I hope i did the right decision 😃
How is the kids version? Liking it?
@@lovinglaurenx I love it! I never tried kids software. Started it for the first time and turned into regular kindle right away.
I really like the case. I think it's called robot dream?
But I still think Kindle basic is most travel friendly version.
I love it! But I never tried kids software. Opened it and switched to regular version right away.
Case I chose was robot dream and it's lovely colorful case.
Other than waterproofness basic Kindle is still best kindle for travel imo.
Thanks for the video
Great explanations!
Great review! I bought my first Kindle (the Paperwhite) in 2013 and it's still going strong. It's certainly outlived 3 MacBooks and 3 iPads... Obviously, this comparison isn't fair as the others offer so much more with the exception of portability (although I'm looking at an iPad mini to act as one ultra-portable content consumption device.
Reviews of the Oasis I've seen on Amazon suggest that the battery is a bit unreliable in terms of charging and holding a charge - was this your experience? It also looks too big to slip into a jacket pocket. My current Kindle (in sleep case) will just slide in, but an Oasis wouldn't nor, I suspect, would an iPad mini (except for larger pockets).
Great video. Thank you.
Love my kindle paper white 11th gen. It’s way faster and less laggy and the bigger screen.
Great Review thanks!
I have a Kindle PW5 (and have used the PW3, PW4 and Oasis before). If I had to buy a new one, I'd go for the Paprwhite again. The larger 6.8 inch display really is a treat, however the 7 inch of the Oasis doesn't feel like that much of an upgrade.
This new Kidle basic is basically a slightly faster Paperwhite 3, which is nice!
Great video, thanks!
Thanks. That was really useful.
Kid kindle is best!!! That’s what I have and the warranty, case, no ads etc is so worth it
I read all day, I have an oasis which I love but I dropped it at work the other day and immediately ordered the new paper white signature edition so my oasis doesn’t live the house anymore 😂😂😂 but I have to say the new paperwhite is pretty dope
Great review(er) Thank you.
I tend to buy the newest Kindle every two'ish years since buying the very first edition way back for $359 😳 I have the Paperwhite Signature edition, bought last year, and a new 2022 Denim Blue Kindle arriving on Wednesday. I'm surprised that I didn't buy the Scribe, lol. Probably because I don't even use the Samsung SPens that come with my tablets.
Really helpful video, thank you! I'm also going to check out your other video so I can learn how to use my Kindle more proficiently. Thanks for your time and effort 😊
Thank you for watching!!
Thank you Maneetpaul. Love your Kindle reviews. I'm exploring the Kindle options now for my brother who is still using my old Kindle 4, which is pretty busted by now. I love my Kindle Paperwhite 2021 and I instantly recommended it to him, but it is a bit too expensive. Which model do you find better, Kindle Paperwhite 4 (2018) or the basic Kindle 2022? I gather they both have a 300ppi screen and white only light, but is the Paperwhite 4 waterproof?
Very nice video and very helpful. Thank you :)
Thank you very much!!
It’s a good a review! Much appreciated
I think the on/off buttons are very sensitive on every Kindle. I hate cases but I put a passcode such that it cannot simply turn on all the time and change my settings and position in the book.
Thanks! Very nice review. I now know what I'm going to buy.
I have a paper white signature and a library car from my local library and they have ebooks for kindle so it paid for itself. So happy with my kindle
I have owned numerous Kindles over the years. I have gone back to the Kindle basic because it is the ONLY one that doesn't have a flush front. I wish they would make the the Kindle paper white with a sunk screen I would go definitely purchase it
If reading is your priority Kindle basic is more than adequate and great value for money. Once you put it in a cover, it becomes a tank with maximum portability.
Thanks, very informative
Hi, love your reviews but I have the smaller paperwhite 10th generation and want to know what's the difference between the 10th gen paperwhite and 11th gen paperwhite aside from being smaller. Are they the same?
i just got my paper white and its very very better than larger screen in terms of reading in transport breaks between classes and good grip
This is a odd question. I have a Nook glowlight 4 and I love it. Most of my books are in the Nook eco-verse so it works well for me. I do have a growing number of kindle books that I would like to read in a more basic format. I currently use the kindle app with a $50 tablet which is ok but doesn't meet my needs. Which kindle would be best for a person like me who doesn't have a lot of books in the kindle universe. Thank you!
I’m just in 6 minutes on your video and you are amazing as a reviewer.
Thanks for the update. Think I’ll get the Signature addition with the wireless charging
I prefer a smaller kindle. I can say that the size and features of the new basic is appealing since it has lesser glare and crispier text.
Just received it today and so far I love it: super compact and light, with a lovely denim color (to be fair I also have an Oasis for reading at home).
I am on the market for a new and afforable ebook device. Thank you for this detailed review.
Really helpful
Thanks 👍🏼
I’m so torn between the Oasis and and the paperwhite signature. I really wish a new and improved Oasis would be released. I love the pro’s, but the con’s really make me hesitate.
I got the oasis despite knowing it has bad battery life. Thats the con i was most hesitant on but i really wanted the buttons. And It’s true. I hVe to charge every 2 days or every day when I’m reading a lot. But somehow the buttons make it okay lol. Game changer. But if a new oasis comes out ill probably get one.
Have a 2015 kindle basic, still love the thing a lot, today i ordered a Paperwhite and handing down the 2015 to my mom so she can get her reading speed up after her brain hemorrhage hampered her reading and math.
This fall, including right now, the Oasis 3 has been on sale for $165! I never saw any version of Oasis on sale until this fall, so I wonder if Amazon might be clearing their inventory for an Oasis 4.
imo the new 'scribe' is so close to the Oasis' original price they've gotta discount remaining units.
@@JimzAuto Yes, the Scribe has replaced the Oasis as their luxury Kindle. That it hasn't page turn buttons suggests to me an effort to keep them exclusive to Oasis for the people who like that feature a lot. If so, Amazon would not retire the Oasis, but the Oasis badly needs an upgrade to a battery as good as that in the Paperwhite 2021 & a somewhat larger screen.
@@williamlaine2116 I think the Oasis size will stay the same as it’s ‘just perfect’ for a cargo pocket. Reducing button blackout area could make for a larger screen.
@@JimzAuto I'd like to see an Oasis 4 with an 8" screen from lengthening the device & keeping the same width as previous models.
I am personally trading my Oasis for the Paperwhite 11. Much nicer to hold + USB C finally
Are you going to buy the signature edition ?
Thank you so much unbiased reviews, ..
Thank YOU for watching!
thanks for the awesome video I am just buying the new basic to see how I like e reading Do you recommend putting a screen protector on please
I adore my Kindle Oasis, but I'm tempted by the Scribe. I want to see it in action first.
The scribe works awesome now, I use it for work all the time and the writing experience is amazing.
@@faridalalala I actually bought one in January. I love it!
Singh saab you are making great videos keep it up.
Im newish to kindles so this is really helful to me thanks.
Thanks very much! I have been using an Onyx Boox Nova 3 tablet, but got tired of the bugginess of the OS after a couple of years of use. I decided to go for a Paperwhite Signature edition, thanks to your video. (love your beard, btw)
Enjoy your new PW SE! And thanks, I like yours too from your picture!
just bought a paperwhite :) thanks
