Hahaha! At first, I thought you said “funnier”. Thank you for being here and sending the positive note. Keep dancing. We’ll all be back at it before you know it.
Dear Anthony and Miss Rose, We've been giving this our best shot, but somehow we don't look anything like you. I think it's my Wife's fault. If I was dancing with Rose, I'd do Great! My Wife figures I'm the problem, and if she was dancing with Anthony, she would look cool! (She bursts out laughing every time we do the double turn!) We only have 3 more days to our first class for beginners. We wanted to be able to do something besides laugh. (You need to have a serious talk with her!) We watched your video a thousand times. I see it in my sleep, but we're still a couple of lame ducks.. We'll fly yet, just wait and see! John and Wink (80)
Thanks to your way of teaching, we got the essentials of it in one rehearsal. (Our finished basement rec room is a dance hall.). Now it’s just a matter of smoothing and styling.
We signed up for "East Coast" Dance Classes, and we've been practicing your lessons over and over a hundred times so we come prepared, and don't look like wounded water buffaloes. We sampled a number of You Tube lessons, but we like your classes the best. (Besides Rose is so Sweet!) You explain and demonstrate things so well! We really appreciate your lead and support! We're starting to get it. (We're just shuffling along, and don't have the Bouncy swing step you have.. A lesson on that would be Wonderful.) John and Wink (80)
Hey Just came across your UA-cam channel. Ive always classed it a Ballroom jive, and it's one of my favourite dance styles. Love the way you teach. Looking forward to watch more of your channel . Greg Australia
Hi there. Interestingly enough, it's actually the other way around. All swing dances (Jive included) originated here in the US beginning with Lindy Hop. ECS is derived from Lindy ... and Jive was derived from ECS. Therefore, Jive is kind of a copy of a copy haha.
. lol. Everything is related. All moves came from here, there. Over there, over here. Thanks for replying. I'll be looking at more of your channel. You very good teachers..
Very clear pointers and helpful tips for both leads and followers. So thorough which is something you don't come across on a lot of dance videos. Thank you from UK. (I'm teaching East Coast here now instead of ballroom jive because I find it more free and more accessible to people who haven't danced before. There isn't so much of it here though so instruction like yours is very helpful to keep me on track.
That’s awesome! We have found that East Coast and Jive are pretty much the same structurally... just mostly stylistic differences. Which would make sense as they both originated as Lindy Hop (I believe that Jive originated as ECS ... which originated as Lindy). We appreciate you being here with us and your positivity!
Oh I LOVE this move! This is my first viewing of you guys sharing ECS. Totally threw me at first because I'm so used to the smooth 2 Step and WCS. This was awesome! Thank you once more for expanding my repertoire!
@@countrydancex I find it so interesting that we can learn multiple dances but we all have our "first dance love". Stay safe! Looking forward to more videos.
I like this pattern, and am eager to ty it with my practice partner! Thanks for sharing it, and for breaking it down in such a comprehensible way. Next time I’m visiting family in The Woodlands, I’d love to have a lesson with you.
Love all your videos. Glad to see East Coast Swing videos. Would love to see more of those & also is it possible to modify these to be modified for Single Time instead of Triple? Most of time that we go dancing, lots of Swing music is too fast for Triple time.
Hi there. We’re glad you enjoyed it. Most anything in ECS can be modified back and forth from triple to single time or vice versa. In triple time, a triple step is 2 beats of music. In single time, the slows are 2 beats. Whatever you were doing for those 2 beats in triple time, just do that in single time. You just have to do it in 1 weight change instead of 3.
Love this! I think we could try it- we only know 1 pattern but we will give it a whirl. Thanks! I won’t text you unless we need you- but thanks for giving us that option! ❤️
Dear Anthony and Miss Rose, We've watched your lesson a thousand times, and practice every day, But we don't look any thing like you. I think it's my Wife fault.. If I was dancing with Rose, I'd do great! My Wife thinks I'm the problem, and if she was dancing with Anthony she'd look cool! (She bursts out laughing every time she tries to do the double turn! Just found your channel while studying/practicing for my classes tomorrow! Do you still go to Whiskey Rivers on the weekends? Yall are very clear instructors! ❤
Hi. Of course, you could come out of this a number of ways… however, height issues are usually resolved by staying closer to your partner. Try that first!
Figures rock très bien merci
My gf and I just became very enthusiastic fans of yours!!
Yeeaaahhh! We’re excited to have you guys here :-)
East Coast is just plain fun! You 2 make it funner!
Haven't danced since March, sure miss it.
Hahaha! At first, I thought you said “funnier”.
Thank you for being here and sending the positive note.
Keep dancing. We’ll all be back at it before you know it.
Your cues are so clear ! Iv been watching both east and west coast swing. Your a great team
Thank you! So glad you’re enjoying the videos :-)
I just love the energy that the both of you present. It's a joy watching you both. Stay inspired!💕❤️💕💃🕺

Excellent move! My wife and I are now practicing it and will soon add it to our "ECS repertoire."
Awesome! Let us know how it goes!
Thanks to your way of teaching, we got the essentials of it in one rehearsal. (Our finished basement rec room is a dance hall.). Now it’s just a matter of smoothing and styling.
Love this pattern! Simple, yet gives the illusion of being advanced...keep em coming!
Thank you! Will do!
Thank you Very nice turn! Will try it. We teach East Coast to seniors.
We love that! Keep getting more people off the couch and onto the dance floor :-)

This is funny 😆 Thank you guys for being here! We remember what that stage was like
Nice dancing 😇
Thanks!

I guess I do have a question- what music does an East Coast swing go to? I have no idea
IMO, anything with an upbeat, from country to rock,,, since east coast swing came out of the lindy hop / big band music days of the 40s
@@owlcreek9010 thank you 😊
Yes, ECS can be danced to pretty much any genre of music as long as the beats per minute are in a good range (and the song is in 4/4 time signature)
@@countrydancex 4/4 time! Great to know! 👍💕💃thanks!
Wonderful thank you! Can you also tell us the title of the song you used?
So glad you enjoyed it! We license stock music for our videos, so they're not something you'd find somewhere
Is there another exit from the bow tie? I'm a short guy and not able to get my arm up high enough for some women to do the neck roll.
Hi. Of course, you could come out of this a number of ways… however, height issues are usually resolved by staying closer to your partner. Try that first!
What song is being played?
We use stock music (for licensing reasons)
Need for you two slow down on the right and left turns.
I'm curious why the Swing Dance doesn't feature "swing" music. Is this a completely different kind of swing music than 1930s swing dancing?
ECS dance is most pupular😂US and Other countries.
