Thank you for posting this! I'm gluten intolerant and it's always a worry. Generally though I've found cruise ships pretty good, but you're right, you need to speak to a manager a lot of the time to get the help you need.
Sometimes I am nervous about speaking up for myself but I’m a little more bold since it affects my kids’ health now. And I’ve learned that the crew really wants to help out! You just have to let them know. Thank you so much for watching!
This was super helpful! My husband and I are vegan and will be cruising on RCCL very soon. I didn’t realize we can order the night before for the next day. I will try this with a vegan breakfast burrito. :)
This is incredibly helpful as my mother will be traveling with me in April 2024 on this ship and she is gluten-free, and though not technically dairy-free, but close. So this is a lot of help. Thank you again. I watched your review on Virgin Voyages and that was helpful, as well. VV is coming up for me in a month.
I’m so glad you found them helpful! She will have some delicious meals and both of your cruises will be fantastic! We’re trying RCCL again in just under 100 days and can’t wait to see how it goes. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. We sailed on Quantum with RCL GF and DF and they were great in MDR but not very many snack options. We are considering DCL on the Dream for our next cruise. What did you like best?
Our experience is that DCL has the best options for GF/DF. Have you seen our DCL playlist? Thats all the Dream. The one other excellent experience we had was on Virgin Voyages if you ever need an adults-only option. But we’re trying RCCL again next month and we’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for asking! There was a section at the back of the Windjammer buffet with a big Gluten Free sign, but we didn’t have much luck with the staff in that area being able to tell us what if the GF items were also Dairy Free. You can see it around the 12:40 mark. That area was frequently unstaffed and sometimes closed altogether. I wish there had been more signage!
Oooh, good question! I remember dairy free macarons at the patisserie and for dessert they often gave us a non dairy whipped cream with cherries. The dessert they invented for us at Wonderland was fantastic. I’m pretty sure there were sorbets but I don’t recall any ice cream.
They definitely struggled a bit. They seemed like they were still in crisis-mode after being shut down for so long and hadn’t quite gotten back to being the well-oiled machine we expected them to be. We’re going to give them another try! But not until 2024… we’ll see if that trip happens.
Am getting really comfortable among your family sister keep doing what you an your family enjoy 🇯🇲🇯🇲

Wow! I just saw another video where at least they had a big sign with the gluten free options?

Any dairy free ice creams on board?

wow, they're not as good about allergies as I expected them to be 😐

Kill the background music .. it's over riding your voice
Totally agree. 😄 This was my first ever UA-cam video and thankfully my audio skills have gotten better with time. Thanks for watching!
