Did you know it has lyrics too? :D Bosun Bill was known throughout the port. A truly dreadful pirate who was always getting caught. Not one scheme for stealing could he hatch. 'cause someone would spot, the treasure he'd got. And Bill they'd snatch! One day Bill awoke lying on a distant beach. The last of his grog was just out of reach. He groped around with trembling hands. And stuck something in the sand! He'd stumbled upon a part. Of an ancient chart. Stained and torn, the old map told. The way to find a stash of buried gold so... Bosun Bill, set out to find a crew. But everyone he asked replied "I'll never sail with you!" 'Til at last, he plied a man with ale. To lend him his craft, a rickety raft. Then Bill set sail! All by himself, Bill trembled in the dark. He lost both his boots and hat to a shark. He followed the chart 'til at last he saw. The gleam of a far-off shore. The trail led into a cave. Silent as the grave. Bill stood gaping at what he saw. A hoard of treasure piled from roof to floor. Bosun Bill stuffed treasure into his sack. He loaded up the boat, but he heard a mighty crack. He'd taken to much plunder when he should have kept it light. The raft and all the gold sank out of sight. Bosun Bill let out a terrible curse. He'd had a chance at glory but he'd only come out worse! To this day, he's trapped on the island still. Not very clever. Worst pirate ever, It's Booo... Sun... Bill!
@Thomas Jonker Piano nice work!! Is this song copyright free? If not is your version to be considered copyright free? I really need it for a movie project.
Thank you :). It's copyrighted by the original composer, even my version. As long as you're movie project is not for commercial purposes, you should be completely fine.
This piece is originally composed by Robin Beanland for Sea of Thieves, but it’s actually quite similar to already existing Italian folk music. Look up ‘Italian folk music’ on UA-cam and choose the top video to find out. It’s therefore possible you already heard it before. For example, I believe this music is also played during the Godfather.
@@ThomasJonker Ok thanks I use an Upright Spinet Currier piano. It was made in 1981, so it is a bit old. I think it was 11K when my parents bought it. Maybe..
I know how frustrating it can be, but definitely try to finish it, even if you're not perfectly happy with it! In the end it's often worth it. I wish you the best of luck :)
Seems like dutch pirates are the more musical ones.
No... it doesn't...
Aah yes i see you are a man of culture as well.
The lightly outtuned piano fits perfect in this song
Im gonna learn this for playing a 3rd instrument on my boat with my crew !
Hahaha that's a cool idea!
Shady Animator 7150 Is 4 months ago today?

Trevor Thompson is it sang in game?
Those are lyrics someone made for a UA-cam video, they aren’t actually official
@@Danny75497 they’re on the wiki, and I believe it was in one of the Sea of Thieves books. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that it’s official
This may be the reason I get back into playing the piano... Thank you!

OMG YES!!!!!
Amazing!!
Lovely
Hello. Can i ask two question? ;) What call the left hand chord progression in this piece? I mean, "bap-pam, bap-pam, bap-pam". I want to learn.
I am wondering is this song really made by Sea of Thieves? Because I feel I already knew it before I played Sea of Thieves.

Thomas Jonker I knew it! It was an Italian song. Thank you so much
Jurjen de Boer it uses the theme of a tarentella
+ThomasJonker, what kind of piano do you use?
An upright acoustic Yamaha! I’m note sure which model, but I believe it was like 5k when my parents bought it.
